Feng Xinying immediately asked, "In that case, did you scurry the apartment?" 

"Yes, Miss Xinying."

"Did you find anything that we could use?" she asked but was highly doubtful because she knew that if the shooter was a professional one, he would not leave a single trace of his presence over there. 

"This apartment was vacant for a long time because the owner is not here. So there was no furniture also. However, we can see now that the lock of this apartment was broken. The shooter must have come here to install his sniper gun. We can see fresh scratch marks on the wall plaster and also on the window sill," replied the security head. 

"Even if you see one hair out there, bring it to me," she insisted. 

"Miss Xinying, we found a wrist band thrown just outside the window. It seems the sniper had lost it and it is lying in the bush just below the apartment straight beneath," he said excitedly as if he had found a bounty. 

"Okay, bring it here. However for now you should look at all the video cameras that were located around the building. Did you guys install any cameras for surveillance?" 

"Yes, we have installed them everywhere."

"Then scan through all the video in that time, especially the ones which were focused at that side and find out if you can see the sniper."

"Okay Miss Xinying. I will also look for all the cameras in this building also," said the security head with enthusiasm. 

"No need to waste your time on that. If they could send police to Su Haobing within five minutes of shooting, don't you think, they must have erased all the video?" she said trying to drill sense in him. 

"Erased all the video? I don't think so…"

"They must have erased all those parts that were of that particular time. So there is no point in seeing them and wasting your time. Just focus on the videos that are of the cameras you have installed and at the same time make sure that no one else gets those recordings," said Feng Xinying thinking almost five steps ahead. 

The security head was completely stunned by what Feng Xinying told him. All he could think was that his master couldn't have deserved any less of an intelligent wife! She was way too good at deducing things. If the work could be done using so little resources, why waste time in hunting and spending your energy, which can be utilized in a better way. He left to collect all the recordings of the cameras they had installed. It was already 2PM in the afternoon. 

Meanwhile, in the hospital, Xie Yuansheng hadn't become conscious. The nurse had come to Feng Xinying's room and informed, "Madam, your husband is out of danger, but he hasn't come back to consciousness. The doctors have noticed that he is recovering and so they have decided to move him out of the post-operative ward and will keep him in the VIP ward for a day after which he will be s.h.i.+fted to your room over here." 

Feng Xinying's heart sank, "Why hasn't he come back to consciousness?"

"I don't know, Madam, you have to ask the doctor about that… but he is showing good signs of improvement." After saying that the nurse left feeling very sorry for the young woman in front of her. 

Feng Xinying sat on the bed. Her knees felt wobbly. "You test me G.o.d, and I will get back to you! I am stronger than you think I am. Keep throwing those challenges and I will steer through them!" She looked up and challenged the person who had created them all. She kept sitting on the bed holding her tummy. She talked to her baby until Lu Boyun arrived. He gave her food and left after an hour. 

It was evening when Xie Yuansheng was s.h.i.+fted to the VIP ward. The ward had one large gla.s.s window through which she could she him. The room was not very far from her room, it was on the same floor but the entry to the area was restricted. She could visit him anytime she liked. Xie Shengjun and Keira came in the evening. Both of them were just too worried about him. They could see him from the outside. 

"What has the doctor said?" asked Keira.

Feng Xinying lowered her head. "His condition is stable but he is not conscious. I don't know what the future holds for me…" 

Keira held her hand and took her back to the room. Once they were sitting on the bed, she said, "Xinying, you have to be prepared for the future. Whatever happens we are with you. You have to take care of the Feng Conglomerate. Don't let things fail. Don't get stuck here. You have to take all that responsibility. If Xie Yuansheng doesn't come back to consciousness, you have to go back to the company."

Feng Xinying shouted, "Keira! Shengu will be okay by tomorrow. He will start talking to me. You will see that he will start walking within a week's time. His wound will heal up in the next ten days. Don't speak like this about Shengu!" 

Keira was shocked at Feng Xinying's outburst. Xie Shengjun entered the room at that time and when he saw Feng Xinying bursting like that, he placed his finger on his lips and signaled Keira to stay quiet. She became quiet, went close to Feng Xinying and embraced her. She patted her back and said, "Yes, my dear he will be fine." Feng Xinying couldn't hold herself and she started crying. "Don't say anything negative about my hubby. He will come back for me and for his baby. We'll be a happy family soon…" 

Just then the head of the security entered the room with a computer and a pen drive in his hand. "Young Miss, you have to see this. It is very important!"

Feng Xinying left Keira and wiping her tears she said, "Show me."
