Feng Xinying saw that Xie Weihui was standing in her place. She stared at her and all eyes followed her stare. Xie Weihui became nervous and sat down in her place. Feng Xinying continued, "Thank you ma'am." Then she relaxed and continued with a smile, "My husband has told you the reason for keeping our marriage under wraps, but now I am happy that the relations.h.i.+p is out. You cannot imagine my happiness." 

The board members started laughing. They banged the table in front of them again. 

"I am Feng Xinying and it's a pleasure to introduce myself in front of all of you dignitaries. My father had always been my guardian angel, but due to some misunderstanding, I left him to pursue my career. I had just finished my high school and didn't know what would happen to me in this wild world. However, when I reached America, with the help of friends, I became a model and quite a successful one at that. I am sure some of you have already seen my photographs on the Internet that showcase me as a model."

"I have!" came a prompt reply from one of the young members.

Feng Xinying smiled at him and bowed. "My father was a big business tyc.o.o.n and he wanted me to be his heir, however, I being an eighteen year old mother-less feisty girl, left the home that day, when he brought his fourth wife to the mansion and introduced me to her. I was pained beyond words. Perhaps he was doing all this only for me, but honestly I don't know… 

"That woman was none other than Mrs. Xie Weihui, and I am the daughter of Feng Zhantian."

Feng Xinying stopped to look around. There was pin drop silence in the room as the board members looked at her. They were shocked beyond words that they were standing in front of the heir of the Feng Conglomerate for whom the world had been waiting. They all thought the daughter of Feng Zhantian had disappeared in the world because she didn't even show up in the company after her father's death. They felt as though their trust was being broken. 

This was the time when Feng Xinying had to be extremely careful in talking to them. She couldn't reveal the truth. "When I came back from America, Xie Yuansheng wanted to give me the CEO position, but it was my father's will that he remains as the CEO of the company. So I had to comply with my father's wishes. Honestly, I was angry with my father but later I realized that this company had greatly profited ever since Xie Yuansheng had become the CEO. I am sure you all will also agree to that."

Feng Xinying looked straight at Xie Weihui now. She appeared excited. 

Xie Weihui thought that Feng Xinying was doing the job of exposing herself. Why meddle? Let her throw the axe on her feet. 

"Xie Yuansheng proposed to marry me and I quickly accepted it. I couldn't help it, there were too many girls who were swooning around him," said Feng Xinying with a pout. 

Even though the atmosphere was tense, she invited a few chuckles. 

"But my main reason to hide my ident.i.ty was to see every employee of the company from a distance and also gel with them in order to understand the company from gra.s.s root level. As a girl who hasn't had her formal college education, it wasn't right for me to come and stake claim of my company knowing well that a person like Xie Yuansheng already headed it. Hence, I became his secretary to learn the basics first. Although I remained his secretary for not even two months, I have learnt a lot." 

The way she mentioned her position, instead of becoming wary of her, all of them started becoming cautious of her. Now they viewed her as to what she thought about them and what would be her next decision. She was much above Xie Yuansheng in every way! 

"Gentlemen, I am sorry this was not the way I wanted to reveal myself. I wanted to hold a grand party for our wedding where I would have revealed myself. But the situation is different today," said Feng Xinying with a serious expression. Her demeanor was such that everyone present over there became scared. Her expressions turned cold and the temperature of the atmosphere dropped sub zero. She looked at Xie Weihui and continued, "My stepmother over here had brought a DNA certificate which proved that Ru s.h.i.+s.h.i.+ is my stepsister. Yes, she is my stepsister but my father hadn't left her a single penny. Hence she is not ent.i.tled to a single penny from the Feng Conglomerate. However, she is ent.i.tled to all the money her mother can give her, which my father left for her. I cannot interfere in that." 

Everyone was looking at the two women from left to right as the drama unfolded. Suddenly Feng Xinying quipped, "Do you want my DNA certificate?" Everybody started laughing. But the secretary had stood up from her position. She was carrying a folder in which Feng Xinying's birth certificate, ID and other important doc.u.ments were kept. She went around the table and gave those copies to the board members. 

"For all those who want to see the originals, they are here with me, you can come and take a look," said Feng Xinying. People in the room shook their head. 

Now, Feng Xinying's position was so high that none of them could even thinking was speaking anything against her. Instead they admired how she had on her own carved a niche for herself in the film industry without any help. If she wanted she could have easily taken Xie Yuansheng's help in public or used her ident.i.ty. They only respected her more. 

"In the end, I have a small request from all you. I would like to hold my ident.i.ty as a secret until I finish my movie and for that I need your help." Feng Xinying looked at the secretary who again circulated a page to the members. "This is a legal doc.u.ment that says that you will not reveal my ident.i.ty to anyone until my movie finishes. I request you all to sign it." there was a smile playing on her lips. 

All of them signed it without thinking twice. Who would want to get in the danger with the owner herself? 

When the signing was done, the secretary collected the doc.u.ments, and Feng Xinying sat down. Xie Weihui was not given the doc.u.ment. She asked her lawyer, "Why am I not given the doc.u.ment?"

"Because you are not a board member," he replied sheepishly.  

Xie Yuansheng smiled at his wife. This time he stood up and said, "According to our reports, ten percent shares that were sold in the market yesterday belonged to Mrs. Xie Weihui. The selling was done upon the basis of insider information. This was done to gain profits from high bonus shares and turning capital reserve to share capital. Mrs. Weihui did something illegal. If the major shareholders and executives of the listed companies take advantage of the insider early information they have access to, and try to lessen their loss by reducing their stock numbers and selling them before the release of important information, is illegal action."

Although whatever he said made Xie Weihui anxious like h.e.l.l, what she heard next almost made her choke.
