Xie Yuansheng laughed heartily. He tousled her hair. Holding her hands, he took her to the car waiting for them at the entrance. The driver sped the car through the city and into the highway. Everything about Holland's countryside was mesmerizing. Feng Xinying was sitting inside the car with her hands clasped waiting eagerly to reach there. 

As the car cruised the countryside, Feng Xinying was amazed at the scenery she witnessed - the pearly rivers, sailing boats, villages, large expanse of agriculture land and windmills. They reached the tulip gardens that Xie Yuansheng had bought for her and as soon as the car stopped, Feng Xinying hopped out of it and ran towards the fields. Spilling across over twenty acres of woodland, the garden was stretched with only tulips as far as your eyes could see. Even though there were other flowers like gladioli, fragrant lilies, dahlias, daffodils amongst others, it was the queen of this nonstop flower extravaganza - the tulips that had burst out in every candy color you could see. 

Feng Xingying ran with her hands outstretched, twisting and turning her body in the pathways that were somewhere in the middle of them. Not able to contain her excitement, she squealed like a child trying to gather tulips in her hands. Finally after running through those fields like a wild deer, she lay on one of the paths, tired. Xie Yuansheng watched her running here and there as he stood at one place and kept clicking her pictures. When she stopped and was lying on the gra.s.s, he went to her. He lay down beside her on his side. He propped his head on his hand and looked at her with a smile. "Do you love it?" 

She was breathless. A huge smile appeared on her face and she said, "I totally adore it!" and then she shrieked.

Xie Yuansheng covered his ear with his hands as he laughed at her. They rested for a while and then she stood up. "Can I pluck some of these?" 

Xie Yuansheng got up and held her hand, "Of course you can but I have one more thing for you." 

"What else dear? I have everything I wanted…" she said ruffling his hair tenderly. 

He propped himself on one knee and took out a small box from his pocket. He opened the box and Feng Xinying's right hand went to her mouth. Inside, there were two rings, one huge diamond ring flanked by rubies and emeralds. Right next to it was a simple gold band. 

Xie Yuansheng took the ring out of the box and held her hand. "Would you be my life for the rest of my life?" 

Feng Xinying could only nod and then say, "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes." 

Xie Yuansheng slipped the ring on her ring finger of the left hand. He remembered how she had said what ring she wanted right after Guo Junxo episode. It had to be at least a two-carat diamond flanked with rubies and emeralds and the ring had all that. He hadn't given her the engagement or wedding ring and he was 

Xie Yuansheng took the other ring out of the box to wear it, but Feng Xinying s.n.a.t.c.hed it from his hand. He was surprised as to what she was doing. 

"If anyone has to make you wear that ring, it has to be me," she said and held his left hand's ring finger to slip it into it.  

Xie Yuansheng got up from his position. He hugged her and kissed her pa.s.sionately in the middle of those fragrant flowers, in the middle of the tulip gardens that he had bought for her. 

When he left her, she buried her face in his chest and smelled him. "Xie Yuansheng, I think I have done a lot of good deeds in my past life that I have got a husband like you…" she said as he wrapped her in his arms. 

Xie Yuansheng didn't say anything. He only felt guilty for what he had done to her in the past life. He had caged her and she revolted. In this life, he left her free and all she wanted was to come back to him every time. He stroked her back as he sighed. Then he released her and held her hand. They walked along the fields. He said, "Since we had decided to cancel the party, I wanted this private celebration only for the two of us. I think it was long overdue and once you will start shooting for the movie, you wouldn't have time to do anything, so this was the best time." 

She nodded. "Mhmm…" After walking a little more, she said, "Xie Yuansheng, we can always tell them that I am engaged to you." 

"Xinying, if you tell them that, I would be on top of the world but you should know how cruel the film industry is. Even if they will come to know that you are the daughter of Feng Zhantian, all they will do is to say that you got in the movie because of your father and not because of your own capability. So I would suggest that you prove yourself and then after one movie, you can always announce the world about us." 

Feng Xinying smiled. She was impressed yet again by her husband's explanation. He was possessive about her but he was also guiding her well. His love was unconditional. He loved her until he saw her prison and then he simply opened the door and let her fly, safe in the knowledge that their love was evergreen. 

"Xie Yuansheng, there might be instances that I won't have time for you and I may become very busy. Don't get mad at me. Just wait for me, okay?" 

"Feng Xinying, it is for me to do what is best for you. I am not seeking fulfillment of my desires at the expense of your wellbeing." Xie Yuansheng stopped. He turned to her and kept his hands on her shoulders. "It is for me to seek what will make you happy and would be best for your soul."

She smiled and said with tenderness in her eyes, "Thanks darling, I wanted this much needed holiday. You have healed my body and soul." 

Just then, Feng Xinying's phone rang. It was Keira.
