83 The Elven Capital 3

"Now why would we do that? Wait who- What are you exactly?"

Looking around in the purely black s.p.a.ce surrounding him Dax asked the presence that somehow seemed to invade his mind.

"That doesn't matter now does it Dax?~ You harvested heads before, soldiers, civilians, women and children all without mercy. I'm just asking you to do that again, for our enjoyment~✿"

"Wait you can see my memories?"

"I.. Can… Ha, ha, ha~ It's amazing~✿ So truly brutal~"

"Please don't tell me you're doing what I think you're doing…"

Responding to the overly honeyed and happy panting voice with a facepalm Dax tried reaching out through his cybernetic implant to reach ICI.

"It's no use~ Just you and me in here~✿"

Outside the prison of Dax's mind inside the elven treasure vault guards had blocked off Dax as he stood unmoving with wide open eyes looking into the ceiling.

"Hey! Outsider?"

"..."

As one of the guards called out to Dax he didn't respond in the slightest and just continued looking into the air without responding.

"Dax!? Please answer!"

Looking desperately at Dax for any changes to his condition the grand elder looked like she was about to cry.

"Grand elder who ever this outsider was he's gone now, that sword-"

"Was put there by me after I ripped out of the cold dead hands of the poor soul that killed everyone she ever knew! I know what the f.u.c.k it is!"

"Then let us do what needs to be done while he's still resisting its influence! There's no time left."

Watching the grand elder falling silent the guard was about to open his mouth when she turned towards him.

"Leave."

"But g-"

"I will make sure there's no pain, leave us, I need a moment."

Looking at the grand elder's pained face the guard swallowed hard before he took a few steps closer and broke all social rules along with it.

"I understand, I have somebody I care about too."

Leaving with those words the guard and his men didn't look back, they all understood.

---

"So we're all alone in here?"

"Yup~"

"And you're not going to release me before I agree to submit to your control."

"Now we're finally getting somewhere~ Come on~✿ I know from your memories that you enjoy slaughter~"

Feeling his mind turning more and more blank every pa.s.sing second as the strange voice of the cursed sword started sounding increasingly more pleasant Dax weighted the option of going on a rampage until he could regain control of himself.

[CONNECTION ESTABLISHED, ALL SYSTEMS ONLINE.]

Until he heard a familiar cold and unfeeling voice

"I'm so f.u.c.king glad I made that retrofit a priority."

"W-what the h.e.l.l is that voice?"

"Cursed sword with an IQ score that's measured in the single digits, meet Integrated Combat Intelligence version 20.5- no 20.6 'Omega'. ICI enact denial protocol Alpha 4-2-1."

---

While the grand elder was preparing to painlessly end Dax's life with a trace of tears on her deterented face Dax suddenly started laughing maniacally.

"NO! YOU WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE ANOTHER!"

"Ha ha aha! HA!!! f.u.c.k YOU!"

Cutting his laughter short cursing at the top of his lungs Dax tossed the cursed sword to the ground Before stepping on it with all his might.

"Dax?"

Speaking his name like she had never done before the grand elder looked like she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Yeah just give me a second, I'm just gonna break this rusty f.u.c.king perverted sword in half!"

(Ahh~ Master please have mercy!)

"Get the f.u.c.k out of my head pervert!"

(So rough~✿ And intense~)

"G.o.d why won't it f.u.c.king die!? ICI get me a structural a.n.a.lysis now!"

[MATERIAL UNKNOWN, NO STRUCTURAL WEAK POINT DETECTED.]

"f.u.c.k! DIE ALREADY!"

(Master please~✿ I'll be useful! Just feed me more of your memoires and I'll do whatever you say!)

"And why the f.u.c.k should I trust you!?"

Still stomping the s.h.i.+t out of the cursed sword with all his might the grand elder still only looked at him with disbelief.

"Dax are you okay?"

"No I'm f.u.c.king not! There's this strange f.u.c.king voice in my head that keeps calling me 'master~✿' and is panting like a f.u.c.king pervert in heat!"

"So you're talking with it?"

Now in complete disbelief with her mouth hanging open the grand elder's spells completely failed as she nervously approached Dax holding out a hand.

"I'm not f.u.c.king talking with that f.u.c.king thing, it just keeps pestering me and calling me master with that creepy f.u.c.king voice and constantly pestering me to accept her/he/it."

"So it is talking to you, not trying to command you to slaughter me?"

Looking at Dax like she still couldn't believe what he was saying with a mix of awe and fear showing on her face the grand elder grabbed Dax's hand to make him stop stomping on the sword.

"No, it stopped doing that when I forced it out of my head, why?"

"Because that sword is older than any known structure of power in this world and has driven millions of people into madness. And not only did your force it out of your head, but 'crimson' is calling you master now too?"

"Crimson?"

"The cursed crimson demon blade. So did you?"

"Yeah I used ICI to close its mental connection with me by jamming its local mana feild, what are you getting at?"

"That is a intelligent weapon, more like a fairy than a mortal being. I won't lie, or more like it can't. If it's calling you master then you just got your hand on a weapon that most Emperor's would sacrifice their all their power to just temporarily wield."

"Yeah and I'm a G.o.dd.a.m.ned frog that only wears bright pink overalls and sings in the acid rain."

For the first few seconds Dax was sure the grand elder was pulling his leg, until more logical parts of his mind prevailed.

"Wait why would anyone want this pervert of a sword?"

"It is completely indestructible, and as a relic of the G.o.ds it can create attack spells more powerful than even the archangels."

(If I feel like it~✿ Please take me with you master~)

Weighing the pros and cons while groaning loudly Dax finally made his decision about 3 minutes later.

"Okay then, but no more of that perverted panting and be silent unless I ask for your opinion, otherwise I'm going to throw you into the f.u.c.king sun."

---

After the clearing up the expected confusion Dax returned with the grand elder to the original meeting room and met up with the capital elders once more.

"Y-you actually tamed the cursed sword…"

Silas' proud and dignified demeanor had all but broken down and now only the researcher greedy for knowledge remained.

"Yeah I did, is that enough proof that I am what I say I am?"

"Of course! Will you aid us in understanding your grand technology?"

"Yeah no problem, can you show me where the sphere's landed in your lands?"

(Master you amazingly cruel person~)

(Shut the f.u.c.k up, I'm playing him like a fiddle.)

Shutting up Crimson while holding his perfect poker face Dax waited for Silas' answer.

"Why would you need that information?"

"Because some of the spheres contain extremely sensitive materials that could instantly spoil if exposed to the air and have a poor reaction to the 500-ish surrounding kilometers."

"I s-see follow me, I have all the details with the already recovered artifacts in my lab."

Still none the wiser Silas showed a satisfied expression as he walked towards the overly large elevator and stopped looking back at Dax that was still seated.

"Are you coming?"

"Wait a second, I have business with the grand elder."

"I'll go on ahead and prepare then. Tell the guard that you would like to go to the top floor when you're ready."

Being left alone in the room Dax took a moment of quiet before facing the elder that looked at him with seriousness.

"W-what?"

"You should leave, now."

"Why!?"

"Because I'm going to burn this place to the ground soon."

"I understand."

Not really surprised by Dax's true objective the elder didn't flinch at all.

"Then g-"

"I'm staying."

"Bu-"

"End of story."

"Okay then, stay close."

Being surprised by her steadfastness of mind Dax ultimately decided to not subdue her per ICI's recommendation. Making their way to Silas' laboratory Dax showed a grim face that Silas himself didn't pick up on.

"Welcome to my laboratory, here's the map of the sphere's locations like you wanted."

(ICI?)

(TERRAIN FEATURES IDENTIFIED, 2 ORB'S PRIORITY ALPHA LOCATED. READY FOR DROP.)

(Take them.)

(ICI AFFIRMS, SCRAMBLING FIRETEAMS.)

(Heeey master what are you doing?~)

(UNATURZESED PERSONAL IN VIRTUAL TACROOM, PURGE Y/N?)

(Yup, and make it hurt as much as you can please.)

(Aww! Master whyyyy?)

Hearing the cursed sword screaming out in pain as it was forced temporarily out of his head by ICI Dax started wearing a smile, which Silas picked up on.

"Dax?"

"Ah, sorry I was just admiring the detail of this map. Let's continue."

"Yes. The first one I want you to identify is this one, over the last couple of days its have been heating up exponentially and I am very interested to know what it is."

Leading Dax over to a central table Silas showed Dax a small orange metal cylindrical metal container that was suspended in water for cooling.

"Its a antimatter fuel cell, seems like the containment field is starting to fail…"

Picking up the cell with his bare hand, Silas and the grand elder both winced when they heard the sound of Dax's skin being burned by direct contact with the cell.

"Ah, the radiator is busted so the waste heat is affecting the magnetic field, good call suspending the cell in constantly cold water Silas. If you didn't do that this city would have been a crater by now. ICI scan the containment cell for any other damage and prepare a repair plan."

[ICI AFFIRMS: TOP PRIORITY REPAIR ORDER ADDED TO MANUFACTURING QUEUE.]

"Good. It's about that time to pack up here.."

"Dax who are you talking to?"

"No one. Hey Silas want to see a magic trick?"

"Sure?..."

(ICI send Viper package #1 to me, then execute RDS at impact +5.)

(VIPER STRIKE PACKAGE #1 AWAY, TTA: 3 MINUTES, 34 SECONDS)

Still maintaining a perfect outer facade as he put into the effect the downfall of the elven capital he beconded Silas closer as Dax himself grabbed a artifact from a nearby table.

"See this right here?"

"Yeah I haven't for the love of me been able to figure out what it is, could you tell me?"

Taking a second to look at the blackish lumpy rock like metal lump Dax placed it back on the table before gracing Silas with a answer.

"This is, or was a severed head. My guess is that some sort of shrapnel completely smashed the body to pieces before it was exposed to the emptiness of s.p.a.ce and then shattered like a gla.s.s. The mangled thing you see there is the result of atmospheric reentry heating that melted the helmet of his/her vacsuit like tin on front of a plasma burner."

"Fascinating! Wh"

As Silas was about to ask more questions Dax grabbed him by the head before lifting him up to his own eye level.

"That's right, we were talking about a magic trick… Let's see, this is what the Galactic Empire dose to ungrateful little s.h.i.+t's that dosn't respect our technology or our sacrifices."

Barely being able to muster a short pathetic scream Silas' ears and legs twitched as Dax crushed his braincase and killed him instantly.

"That's that done then, you want to be next?"

Looking at the dead Silas like looking at a piece of trash Dax then turned to Silas' research a.s.sistant with a warm smile.

"N-n-no thanks."

"Then go and warn everyone in this building that is going to be completely destroyed in about 12 minutes, and they should evacuate right now."

"Y-yes sir!"

Scrambling off like a rat out of h.e.l.l Dax was left alone in the laboratory with the grand elder.

"Did you have to kill him?"

"I did. You should evacuate now."
