35 Effects Of An Extraterrestrial Beings Interference 4

""""""OOOH!""""""

While Dax jumped down the wall, Terra and Alice split and ran different ways on the wall as two drones covered up the railgun with the s.h.i.+elds and the tree other was in the process of speed charging it. The plan Dax had come up with was a simple one, keep the dragon's attention on him until it could be nuked by the railgun. Dax was equipped a REX-344 gauss rifle and a REX-7 high caliber handgun, finally able to resupply its ammunition. While those weapons might be considered high powered, Dax was not naive enough to believe it could kill a dragon, but he was positive it could p.i.s.s it off. Kinetic weaponry can be marginally effective even if the projectile does not penetrate, by imparting energy on the armor, tissue underneath will experience trauma, just like it hurts being shot by a handgun when wearing kevlar body armor. In the distance Dax started to see it with his own eyes, green scales covered it entirely, and its yellow eyes showed a hint of madness.

(Eye's lookā€¦ armored, huh.. Well I might be able to blind it but that would just make it trash around.. I guess I'll go for the wings first.)

Dax quickly kneeled down and took a firing position, stadying his REX-344 rifle with his artificial arm, he aimed while overloading its capasitators at the same time. If Dax still had flesh and blood lungs he would be emptying them now, calming down completely Dax focused all of his being on hitting a single spot located by the Spectors. At the base of the dragons left wing the scales looked a bit off, and slightly discolored.

(Prior damage.. Someone had the same idea as me, but evidently didn't accomplish it. Well thanks to whoever did that is still in order, I'll be sure to accomplish what you failed to do.)

Doing the final adjustment on his aim, Dax estimated his chances of surviving. Firing his first shot against the dragon, surprising the guards up on the wall. After traveling about 2 seconds, the steel t.i.tanium penetrator impacted, depressing the damaged scales about 4 millimeters as it shattered. Not even giving time for the rifle to time to settle, Dax forcefully readjusted his aim with the help of the recoil, shooting a second time within a second, the next round hit right after the first as it found its target right in the center of the dragons eye.

(No penetration huh, well that would be all too easy.. But I got it's attention at least.)

As Dax continued emptying his magazine and while probing his opponent for weak spots, he found it mostly ineffective, but he managed to impress Terra that looked on with the help of the mask she borrowed from him.

(He's f.u.c.king hitting every single shot, and even at the dragons weak spots!... But looks like it isn't really effective.. Still this 'rifle' really is amazing, guess I have to accept he's not of this world..)

Once more examining the rife she had been given and going over the knowledge of its operation, Terra was forced to admit she had never seen or heard of something like this existing or being used by any country.

(With a hundred of these, any normal army would be ma.s.sacred in seconds. And Dax called this a 'primitive' weapon? I can hardly imagine what war looks like where he's from..)

Having emptied the rifle, Dax briefly glanced at its red glowing heatsink and decayed accelerator coils and considering using it as a club, before discarding it and drawing his pistol and sword while waiting for the dragon to get closer. With a wingspan about 12 meters and height from the tip of its muscle packed tail to its mouth packed with teeth it was about 6 meters tall, it might be one of the largest flying animals Dax had ever seen as it flew towards him about 5 meters above the ground. When even the guards could see the dragon with the naked eye, Dax lowered his center of gravity and disappeared, leaving a crater behind. Then a second later the dragon crashed to the ground, and Dax landed behind it with a now broken sword.

"What the f.u.c.k was that!?"

"H-he disappearedā€¦"

"No! He f.u.c.king jumped that fast! I barely saw it!"

"Are you serious? What the f.u.c.k is that demonkin!?"

(As expected.. I need to apologize to Alex at some point)

Dax had leapt and hit the dragon in the head with the flat side of the steel sword he received from Alex, making the sword shatter and most likely giving the dragon a concussion, although it was still conscious and now quite upset indicated by its roar.

["Yeah shut the f.u.c.k up you're loud"]

Empting the magazine of pistol at the dragon Dax got the dragon to shut its mouth as he hit its unprotected mouth.

["Good, now go the f.u.c.k to sleep!"]

Once more leaping at the dragon, Dax slapped it in the head with what was left of his sword, making it fall over 10 meters from the wall and completely breaking the last part of the sword.

["Those sure are some hard scales, but there seems to be a little damageā€¦ Now if I just had about 20 more swords I might be able to kill it."]

Dax had hit the exact same spot on the side of dragon's head, there seemed to be a small amount of damage, and a single scale appeared to be cracked. Dax had now achieved the first part of his arguably simple (stupid) plan, to p.i.s.s the dragon off. The dragon responded by once more opening it mouth, by this time it wasn't to roar.

["OH SH-!"]

By the time Dax saw a magic spell forming it was too late and his whole field of vision turned red as he was covered in flame.

---

"What the h.e.l.l is happening here!? Let me trough NOW!"

"I-I'm sorry sir but the contracted hunter said he would deal with the dragon and any form of interference would lead to unnecessary casualties!"

"And I am your commanding captain! Now let me pa.s.s!"

On the inside of the outer wall near the main guard barracks the guard captain found himself blocked by two of his subordinates.

"I don't give a f.u.c.k what that hunter said! It's the guards job to protect the city! Now move before I have you two and your entire family banished without a single possession to your name!"

Finally having made the way past his insubordinate guards, the captain made his way to the edge of the wall, just in time to see someone below him being covered in flame by the dragon.

"DAX!!!"

Seeing the green scaled dragon breathe fire while some random ranger girl screamed at the top of her lungs the captains mind raced as he thought about how to deal with the dragon.

(Whatever that idiot was doing he f.u.c.ked up, but at least he really p.i.s.sed it off. Still we need to call for the royal guards to deal with this...)

Watching the dragon continue to breathe fire on the supposive elite hunter for about half a minute before looking around on the wall, spotting some strange golems.

"What the h.e.l.l are dose golems doing on my wall!"

Stomping ahead in rage towards the strange golems he has blocked by a girl light armor over a dress with a weird mask.

"I would advise against getting close to them Jackson"

"Do I know you?"

"Yeah you've known me since my birth, we saw each other about half a year ago when visited me, although I was in a bit of a sorry state then"

"Don't tell meā€¦ Are you Russell's daughter? But how are you?-"

"That's a long story, anyway keep away from the golems, their master has a bad temper for people interfering in his fun."

"Master? You mean the jacka.s.s that just got roasted by the dragon? He's dead Terra so these masterless golems need to get off my wall this second!"

"Well, I warned you.. Go on ahead."

As the dragon continued roasting the hunter below Jackson moved to remove the golems from 'his' wall. When he got closer a golems pulled off some sort of strange machinery to meet him.

[BE ADVISED: OPERATION STILL IN PROGRESS, INTERFERENCE WILL BE PUNISHED.]

"It can talk? well that doesn't matter, you too remove these golems, just throw them over the wall."

Calling to the guards he brought with him, Jackson ordered the strange drones to be thrown off the wall.

[WARNING: OPERATION STILL IN PROGRESS, INTERFERENCE WILL HAVE LETHAL CONSEQUENCES. STAND DOWN OR BE EUTHANIZED BY GAUSS RIFLE FIRE.]

As the guards closed in while the dragon still was barbecuing Dax below, four of the drones raised and aimed the drone in tandem while the last one pointed its coil rifle at the closing guards.

[FINAL WARNING: BACK OFF OR BE EUTHANI-]

"Stop that stupid bluff you stupid golems, you guys throw them over the wall now!"

In that second multiple things happened. First the drone fired above the head of the guards to scare them off with its coilgun, hearing the sound of something that it knew could hurt it to the side the dragon instinctively moved its body to get its eyes on. Then the four drones raised the 'handheld' railgun to fire it. But because of the extreme weight of the system, overload incurred sprinting to the town at a speed above factory specified limits, the front left drone's knee joint failed. A microsecond later the R04 fired as the primary capacitor rapidly discharged through multiple cooled superconductors running into the two ready charged electromatic rails creating one positive and one negative charged side. At the same time the projectile was moved in place place between the rails, completing the circuit and creating a extreme Lorentz force that rapidly propelled the round as it exited the barrel, extreme aerodynamic force forced the half melted superconducting and protecting casing to disintegrate as the main 90 centimeter long, 7 millimeter wide fin stabilized tungsten alloy Ā penetrator designed to defeat gravitational barriers continued to its target. But its aim was misplaced, about a degree to the left due to the one drone's leg failing, that combined with the dragon s.h.i.+fting rapidly to the side the projectile only sc.r.a.ped the dragons scales between its body and wing and burying itself about a hundred meters into the ground. The drones had missed the target, but significant damage had still been done, do to the projectile traveling at hypersonic speed, the round had still been pathally effective as it had superheated the air it displaced. Some of that air had been forced to enter the wound created by the round, that plus the seer air pressure caused extreme burns in the flesh around the wound, making the dragon scream in pain as it stopped to spew flame. No one on the wall heard that of course, as the railgun round hitting and burying itself into the ground had coursed soundwave akin to about a few tons of TNT, depressing a significant part the 10 meter tall 7 meter wide wall a few millimeters by air pressure alone, and giving anyone on top and behind the wall momentary hearing loss (and a degree of permanent tinnitus).

"MY f.u.c.kING EARS!"

The hardest hit was Terra, with her extremely good hearing the pain was enough to make her fall to the ground and cover her ears in pain before a second loud sound happened, making her look up from the ground.

"How are you still?-"

["I'm a Qiton, this amount of heat is like going to the spar~"]

Standing in front of Terra was Dax, having just landed after jumping up on the wall once more. Although he played it off with a joke the dragon breathing fire had seriously caught Dax off guard and he had suffered severe second and third degree burns on most of his body, and he had been blinded on his left eye as it was burned, but his shorts and t s.h.i.+rt beeing fireproof was the only reason he was spared disabling damage. Walking past the stunned guard captain and dazed Alice, Dax reached the railgun that had been dropped, and retrieved a replacement round for it from the weapons case.

["Exit siege mode and open chamber, then fastprep single operator mode"]

As Dax inserted a fresh round into the railgun, he gave a smile to the dazed Alice nearby.

["I'll be right back~"]

Grabbing two newly extended grips on the R04, Dax jumped down the wall again, landing on the dragons undamaged wing, shatting the bone in it with a wet sound using the immense weight of the system he carried.

["I SAID SHUT THE f.u.c.k UP AND GO TO SLEEP YOU f.u.c.kING PEST!"]

After bas.h.i.+ng the roaring dragon in the head with the heavy railgun, Dax pressed his weapon to its face and fired it at point blank range.
