Chapter 6 Part 3
Zheng Xishuo hurriedly wiped his hand dry, picked up a pack of wet towelettesÂ
and rushed out. He saw Ye Qiao in the hallway: “Why did you let go all of aÂ
sudden. You really startled me. How are you, are you alright?”
He torn open the wet wipe and handed it to her.
Xu Yinshan, with a pale face, also came out of the banquet room to get someÂ
fresh air. She happened to see Zheng Xishuo and Ye Qiao. A flash of resentmentÂ
in her eyes, she sneered and her chilling voice echoed in the hallway: “I wasÂ
wondering who that was. Ye Qiao, what happened to the man this morning? HowÂ
can you switch to another man in a day? You have a pretty big appet.i.te.”
She was wearing a white, short strapless dress and her false eyelashes wereÂ
longer than the legs of a spider. She peered at them like a white b.u.t.terfly that hadÂ
too many feelers. Zheng Xishuo raised his head to take a look. Xu Yinshan thenÂ
pretended to have just recognized him: “Yo, isn’t this young master Zheng? ExcuseÂ
me, I didn’t realize it’s you just now.” She softly blinked, quite confident that ZhengÂ
Xishuo wouldn’t do anything to her since she had already apologized. Xu YinshanÂ
turned around, ready to go back to the party.
But, Zheng Xishuo wasn’t going to let it pa.s.s so easily. He stepped forward with aÂ
big stride and blocked her way.
Xu Yinshan was taken back by his sudden move. The red wine in her hand spilledÂ
onto her custom made white dress. Xu Yinshan frowned: “What are you doing?”
Ye Qiao pulled the tail of Zheng Xishuo’s suit, singling for him to take it easy. XuÂ
Yinshan only knew that Zheng Xishuo had some connection to the HuashengÂ
Recording Company. The company had done a lot to promote his popularity sinceÂ
he had background as well as talent. People in the business, therefore, referredÂ
him as young master Zheng. Xu Yinshan thought a person with such kind ofÂ
background would know how to deal with people and how to act appropriately.
But Ye Qiao knew otherwise, Zheng Xishuo wasn’t like that at all.
The 22 years old young master Zheng had a mental age of a 12 year old. HeÂ
challenged her: “What did I do?”
Xu Yinshan didn’t quite get it yet and grumbled in a flirtish manner while pointing toÂ
the stain on her dress: “You spilled wine on me-- --”
Before she could finish, the wine gla.s.s in her hand was pulled away and the halfÂ
emptied gla.s.s was in Zheng Xishuo’s hand. The cold reddish liquid began to pourÂ
over the top of her head, through her chest, all the way down her curvy body.
The reddish liquid drew the outline of her slim and hourgla.s.s figure, even the colorÂ
of her underwear was faintly discernible.
Zheng Xishuo put the wine gla.s.s on top of the fire hose box and wiped his hand:Â
“What did you say earlier, what did I do to you? Was it like this?”
Xu Yinshan was shocked, stunned, incredulous, and then finally flew into a rageÂ
out of humiliation. Yet, she didn’t yelled at Zheng Xishuo, instead, she resentfullyÂ
turned to Ye Qiao: “b.i.t.c.h.”
“s.h.i.+t.” Zheng Xishuo threw the wet wipe he had just used upward, hitting half ofÂ
Xu Yinshan’s face before it fell down to the ground. “Take that to wipe your faceÂ
clean, then look in the mirror to see what kind of face you have.”
Xu Yinshan felt all the people she met today was going crazy; everyone of themÂ
was against her on behalf of Ye Qiao. She mumbled and was dragged away byÂ
her a.s.sistant who had just come to check on the commotion.
Gu Jin, as one of the hosts of tonight’s banquet, also heard the news and cameÂ
out to check. He gave Ye Qiao a scornful look when pa.s.sing her by, then wentÂ
straight ahead to comfort Xu Yinshan.
Ye Qiao, who had been silent up till now, suddenly straightened up and called Gu Jin.
He didn’t respond. She called once again. Gu Jin heard her, but only slightly turnedÂ
his head sideways. His furrowed eyebrows obviously showed that he blamed herÂ
for causing him more trouble. Showing restraint, he didn’t say anything butÂ
continued to comfort Xu Yinshan.
Ye Qiao raised her hand and threw the wine gla.s.s at his feet.
The sound of gla.s.s shattering was crisp.
There were several seconds of silence.
Gu Jin finally turned around, facing her cold and stubborn eyes. Though he wasÂ
furious, he still found an excuse for her: “You’re drunk?”
Ye Qiao was stubborn as an iron plate: “I’m not drunk.”
With her foggy eyes and red cheeks, she was speaking like a drunk.
