84 Wifey, You've Wronged Me

"You guys go upstairs," Tsubaki nodded in understanding when she saw their expression when greeting her. "I'll bring tea later."

"No! It's okay, Madam. We're just here for a moment," Matsuzaki quickly declined. How could he ask his Madam to prepare tea for him? More over when he came to disturb their free time?

"You're my guests. How could I not?" Tsubaki shook her head helplessly. Exchanging glance with Ren, she smiled before entering the kitchen.

Ren turned his attention to his a.s.sistants. "Let's go. We'll discuss it upstairs."

"Yes, Master."

The three of them entered the study. Ren gestured for them to sit on the long couch while he took a seat on the single couch. Hibiki handed him an envelope. Ren brought out the doc.u.ments and a.n.a.lysed the contents carefully.

"The shareholders' meeting would be held this Monday?" Ren raised his eyebrows, feeling amused.

"Yes, Master! Elder Wada has instructed all the key shareholders to gather at Z-Tech this Monday. He wants to appoints the new CEO for Z-Tech, considering President Wada would take a long time to recuperate. It's also time to bring out all the issues concerning Z-Tech since Wada Nats...o...b..comes the acting CEO." Matsuzaki reported.

"It's finally time to put an end," Ren concluded. His eyes darkened yet his smile gave off the eerie vibes. "With the evidences in Wada Tatsuya's hands and the shareholders' dissatisfaction towards Wada Natsuo, it'd be easy to topple him."

"When the evidences come to light..." Hibiki trailed off. He looked at his Master's mysterious expression. He gulped. Seeing him like this, he didn't want to make him his enemy.

Aiya! He really didn't want to think of the old foxes' fate after the meeting.

"Prepare to send the letters to them once the meeting ends. Notify the media too."

"Yes, Master!"

They were still having their discussion when Tsubaki came in with tea and cakes for them. She didn't linger around. From the looks on their faces, she knew it must be something extremely important. She didn't miss the sinister smile on her husband's face. Sighing inwardly, she could just pray for the poor souls that would be affected later.

Tsubaki went inside the sun room next to the living room. Closing the door quietly, she walked towards the white couch on the side of the room. A pile of photos, beige-coloured papers and some stationery were laid on the white coffee table. She sat crossed legs on the carpet, mind wandering to her next plan.

Leaning against the couch behind her, Tsubaki took the photos and looked at them one by one. Instead of buying a gift for Grandma, she decided to make an alb.u.m for the old lady. She had learned sewing photo alb.u.m when she attended art cla.s.s in school before. She had even chose the fabric for the cover. It might took some time, but she knew she could produce a beautiful handmade photo alb.u.m for Grandma.

While Tsubaki was busy drawing the layout on a piece of white paper, Ren opened the door to see her concentrating on her project. A warm smile appeared on his face. The murkiness that he felt when he was with his a.s.sistants earlier started dissipating. He soundlessly walking towards her.

Tsubaki noticed a shadow cast on her. Looking up, she saw Ren was watching her intently. Her face broke into a smile.

"Are you done?"

Ren nodded. He took a seat beside his wife on the carpet. Looking at the layout, he knew she had made some progress. "You really just need the photos from me? Anything else I could help you with, love?"

"If I have anything, I would tell you," Tsubaki laughed. She pat his right cheek gently before returning her focus on her drawing.

Ren didn't say anything anymore. He was just silently watching her by the side. Some times, when he laid his eyes on her, a sense of dread would gnaw his heart. It made him felt uneasy. He was afraid if all of this was just a beautiful dream. And when he finally woke up, she was not by his side.

It just took a smile of her to make the nasty feelings went away. Over time, the feelings faded. And now, it was only blessings that he felt whenever he looked at her.

"Do you think you should compensate me later?" Ren finally asked when Tsubaki was cutting the fabric for the alb.u.m cover.

"Compensate for what?" Tsubaki asked back, she glanced at her husband's face. He was clearly dissatisfied over something.

"Weekends should be spent by ourselves yet you spend it for Grandma's birthday present." Ren pulled his face, eyes staring intently at his wife. "Wifey, you've wronged me."

Tsubaki couldn't help but laugh over her man's childishness. She put down her utensils and turned around to face her husband. Looking at the wall clock, she got an idea.

"The weather is nice outside and I don't feel like cooking for lunch. Would you honour me with your presence as my date, dear husband?" Tsubaki smiled sweetly, trying to appease him. It would do her no good if she didn't quickly pacify her man.

Ren's lips curled up. He smiled brilliantly. "Let's go!"
