Chapter 1910: Transcendent Divine Weapon, Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift

Back when the Douluo Continent had a Divine Realm, it had been governed by the Divine Realm, but in the wake of the Divine Realm's disappearance, the plane had become completely independent and governed by the planar ruler, which was why no gods could emerge from the current Douluo Continent.

However, if an entity that transcended beyond or was equal in caliber to a planar ruler were to appear in the plane, then which of the two would control the plane?

Thus, an issue of authority would arise, and this applied to all transcendent divine tools.

Strictly speaking, the Sea God's Trident belonged to the Douluo Divine Realm rather than the Douluo Plane, so it was a very special existence on the Douluo Continent.

If Tang San hadn't forcibly passed the Sea God's Trident down to Tang Wulin, there was no way he would've been able to obtain it, and now that he was the owner of the Sea God's Trident, he would inherently transcend beyond everyone else.

The most direct benefit that he could derive from this was that once he cultivated to a certain level, he would be able to use the Sea God's Trident to make a breakthrough to the true god level just like Demon Sovereign had done, and with the protection of the Sea God's Trident, the plane wouldn't even be able to suppress him.

However, at the moment, he still wasn't at a point in his cultivation where he would be able to achieve this.

With that in mind, how could a plane possibly allow a transcendent divine tool to exist?

However, as soon as Tang Wulin witnessed the halberd inflicting a wound upon Demon Sovereign, he immediately realized that there was a very good chance that it was a transcendent divine weapon, perhaps even the only transcendent divine weapon to be born in the entire abyssal plane.

Only a transcendent divine weapon would be able to wound Demon Sovereign so easily.

Was Tang Wulin right in his assessment? Indeed, he was.

Not only was this a transcendent divine weapon, it was the Holy Lord's weapon.Due to the restrictions of this plane, the Holy Lord was unable to descend onto the Douluo Continent, but he had lent this transcendent divine weapon to the Fierce Sovereign. Only with his godly power was the Fierce Sovereign able to wield this transcendent divine weapon, and the mere mention of the transcendent divine weapon's name would strike fear into any abyssal ruler.

The weapon was called Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift!

Once upon a time, the Holy Lord had also been an ordinary abyssal being, but it was exactly because he had obtained this transcendent divine weapon that he was able to defeat all of the other abyssal rulers and rise to the top.

Thus, in a sense, it could be said that the abyssal plane was of a higher caliber than the Douluo Plane; it just wasn't as substantial.

The most fearsome aspect of Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift was its special ability, which the Holy Lord had named "Abyss".

Essentially, the Abyss special ability could also be named penetration; all types of defensive abilities and equipment, including even transcendent divine tool level armor, would be completely ineffective in the face of Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift's special ability.

The important distinction here was that the special ability wasn't the ability to destroy all things. Instead, it was the ability to disregard all defenses.

This was the only special ability of Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift, and as a result, some restrictions were imposed upon it. For example, the halberd couldn't be used as a long-range weapon; it could only be used in melee combat, and the purple light released by the halberd could only extend for three feet at most.

Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift was over 12 feet in length, which gave it exceptional range, but it still couldn't be used as a long-range attacking option.

However, considering its absolutely ludicrous ability to disregard all defenses, its strengths certainly far outweighed its weaknesses. This was an extremely one-sided transcendent divine weapon that was nowhere near as well-rounded as the Sea God's Trident, but its one-sided nature made it extremely lethal under the right circumstances.

Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift would be useless if it couldn't strike the opponent, but any opponent struck by it would inevitably be wounded, including even gods.

The Fierce Sovereign was already an extremely formidable being, yet he was now far more fearsome with this transcendent divine weapon in his grasp.

After making this discovery, Tang Wulin immediately withdrew his Golden Dragon Spear and replaced it with his Sea God's Trident. The only true counter to a transcendent divine weapon was another transcendent divine weapon.

As the Sea God's Trident emerged, the sound of crashing waves rang out around Tang Wulin's, and his aura immediately underwent a shift. Even his battle armor was basked in a layer of mystical light, and his eyes also turned a bluish-golden color.

Tang Wulin was already at the pinnacle of the quasigod level, and upon summoning the Sea God's Trident, his overall combat prowess was already infinitely approaching the true god level.

Meanwhile, the Fierce Sovereign didn't seem to have displayed any reaction toward wounding Demon Sovereign, and he thrust Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift up into the sky.

An indescribable sense of asphyxiation immediately appeared in the air, and an octagonal halo suddenly emerged before surging toward Tang Wulin and the others.

As the halo appeared, the Fierce Sovereign completely vanished, as if his body had melted into the halo.

The halo was glowing with resplendent bluish-purple light, and it seemed to be imbued with the paramount laws of the Great Dao.

Xu Xiaoyan immediately unleashed Starlight Reciprocation upon it, but even that failed to take effect.

Tang Wulin and the others could clearly sense their own bodies becoming more sluggish, and even though the halo wasn't even upon them yet, their bodies had been sealed. Even Gu Yuena was unable to unleash her teleportation ability, and it seemed that the entire space had been restricted.

Tang Wulin immediately turned around and thrust his right palm toward Gu Yuena right as she also raised her palm. A burst of tremendous force was transferred through their palms, and Gu Yuena was sent crashing into Yuanen Yehui, who was standing behind her, thereby setting off a domino effect where everyone in the human camp was sent flying with the exception of Tang Wulin.

As a result, they were able to escape out of the scope of the octagonal halo just in the nick of time, and only Tang Wulin was caught in it.

"Boom!"

The halo descended, and Tang Wulin felt as if he had instantly lost all of his senses.

He shuddered as his body rose up out of his control, and the restrictive power acting on him became at least twice as potent, making it difficult for him to even raise a hand.

In the next instant, the Fierce Sovereign appeared, and he swept his halberd through the interior of the entire halo. Tang Wulin was naturally unable to evade and could only just barely raise his Sea God's Trident to defend himself.

A resounding boom rang out, but strangely enough, Tang Wulin wasn't sent flying by the halberd strike.

A surge of excruciating pain instantly spread through his entire body. He had only been glanced by the purple light extending out of Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift, but he felt as if his body were about to fall apart at the seams.

Thankfully, even though all of his friends had been pushed away, they were still connected by Starlight Shackles that shared the damage he was sustaining.

As a result, a large gash was torn into everyone's waists.

What fearsome offensive power!

However, after that halberd strike, the octagonal halo vanished, and Tang Wulin was able to move again. The Fierce Sovereign swept his halberd through the air again, and at such close proximity, there was no way for Tang Wulin to evade.

He knew that he had made the right decision in releasing his Sea God's Trident right away. Otherwise, if he had tried to defend himself with his Golden Dragon Spear, there was a very good chance he would've already been severely wounded.

A string of halos emerged from the Sea God's Trident, as he unleashed his Unpredictable Storm.

He knew that he couldn't hold back any longer.

At the same time, bright bluish-golden light erupted out of his eyes, and just as he was unable to evade Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift's attack, the Fierce Sovereign was also unable to evade the attack from his Purple Demon Eyes.

The bluish-golden light being released was the purest of spiritual attacks, and it was supported by Tang Wulin's Divine Origin realm spiritual power. As a result, the Fierce Sovereign's Heavenly Saint Abyssal Rift was slowed down slightly.
