Chapter 1905: Sealed In Ice

Wu Zhangkong paid no heed to all of this, and under the enhancements provided to him through his Absolute Zero and battle armor domain, his entire body began to turn an icy blue color while his hair turned white.

At the same time, a layered image began to take shape on the left side of his breastplate, and upon closer inspection, one would discover that the image was depicting a woman.

This image had been carved onto Wu Zhangkong's battle armor by himself, and in that instant, the ice-cold look in his eyes suddenly softened.

A faint smile appeared on his face, and even though he was situated in a world of snow and ice, his smile was as warm and soothing as a gentle spring breeze. He was already extremely handsome, and his smile only served to illuminate his features even further.

The look in his eyes was warm and completely pure, and in that instant, it was as if he had transcended beyond this world.

"Long Bing, I've completed my wish, and there's no longer anything I'm attached to in this world. I've never fallen in love with any woman aside from you, but you left me far too early. Thankfully, I can finally go and find you now. I have nothing left aside from my purity, which I've reserved for you alone. I wonder if you've missed me."

Intense yearning appeared in his eyes as he spoke, and all of the lovesickness he had been repressing all this time bubbled to the surface.

His voice was very gentle and audible only to himself, but the changes in his emotions infected everyone that was appraising him from outside the grid.

The one who was most heavily impacted was Zang Xin. As the Amorous Douluo, his specialty was emotional control, so he could clearly sense just how violent Wu Zhangkong's emotional fluctuations currently were. All of these emotions had completely fused into his soul skills, and for Wu Zhangkong, this was a very wonderful sensation where it seemed as if he were the only person left in this world.

Aside from Zang Xin, who possessed the innate ability to inject his emotions into his soul skills, any other Soul Master who could achieve the same thing would typically be on the verge of a breakthrough.

Could it be that Wu Zhangkong was going to make a breakthrough in this battle?

However, in the next instant, everyone realized that this wasn't the case. Wu Zhangkong hadn't made a breakthrough. To put it more accurately, he had let the opportunity pass him by and chosen instead to inject all of his emotions into his Skyfrost Sword.

A figure that was both clear yet somehow illusory at the same time suddenly appeared before him.

She was wearing a green Shrek Academy uniform with her long hair arranged into a ponytail, and there was a faint smile on her gorgeous face, as well as a mischievous gleam in her large eyes.

She turned to Wu Zhangkong and pouted as if she were displeased, but in the next instant, her pout gave way to a vibrant smile, and she spread her arms open before rushing into his embrace.

In that instant, Wu Zhangkong was completely captivated and entranced. Meanwhile, the entire grid had frozen solid, and everything in it was immortalized like a surreal snowglobe.

The Skyfrost Sword disintegrated into a vast expanse of snow and ice while Wu Zhangkong tightly embraced the woman in his arms.

In the instant that they fell into one another's embrace, the woman transformed into an extremely life-like ice statue, and the Transformation Sovereign had also become a part of this entirely frozen world, acting as an insignificant backdrop.

Time seemed to have completely stood still, and even though the Transformation Sovereign no longer bore any semblance to a human in his Ba Emperor form, the horror in his eyes was still abundantly clear to all onlookers.

Never did he think that a human would possess such an ability, but before he had a chance to ponder the situation any further, he was already eternally frozen.

Wu Zhangkong had sacrificed his own life to combine his emotions, his longing, and his mental manifestation to recreate the woman whom he loved so dearly.

Even up to the final instant, his eyes were still filled with only doting love and passion. In that icy world, his eyes were no longer pained nor tormented, and it was as if he had been liberated.

In that instant, he and Long Bing were immortalized in this masterpiece of snow and ice.

Tang Wulin had been holding back his tears this entire time, but he was unable to repress them any longer.

Ever since he first met Wu Zhangkong, he had always looked up to Wu Zhangkong as his idol. After that, Wu Zhangkong had been his mentor and father figure.

In Tang Wulin's heart, Wu Zhangkong was not just a teacher, but also a brother.

This was the first time that he had seen Wu Zhangkong ever put on such a sweet and gentle expression, and in that instant, everything was immortalized.

He could clearly sense that Wu Zhangkong was happy in his final moment in this world.

Wu Zhangkong had been bearing far too heavy a burden for so many years, and that made him close himself off to the world.

Tang Wulin could still clearly recall the intense grief radiating from Wu Zhangkong's body back when they had visited Long Bing's grave together.

He still didn't know exactly what had happened to Wu Zhangkong in his past, but in the instant that everything was sealed in ice, he could clearly sense that Wu Zhangkong had been liberated.

He was always going to be his teacher and idol.

The grid shattered, and a giant cube of ice fell from the sky.

A'Ruheng immediately rushed forward to catch the block of ice which had side lengths in excess of 100 meters and was giving off a biting chill.

Tang Wulin arrived beside A'Ruheng amid a flash of golden light to take the block of ice off his hands, and in the instant that he came into contact with the ice, Tang Wulin was immediately able to sense the strong emotions radiating from it.

Ice was a manifestation of extreme cold, but from this block of ice, he could sense scorching emotional fluctuations, yet funnily enough, it was exactly those scorching emotions that made the ice as hard and cold as it was.

Even a powerful being of the Transformation Sovereign's caliber had instantly perished within the ice, and the emotions Tang Wulin was sensing from the ice was impacting him heavily.

Tears were still flowing from his eyes, but his grief had lessened as he finally came to understand just how painful living was for Wu Zhangkong, as had been the case for Yali.

Having lost their lovers, it was far more painful for them to live than to die.

Their hearts were only small enough to fit a single person, and perhaps the only way they were truly going to be liberated was to leave this world and return to their lover's side.

Tang Wulin flapped his golden dragon wings as he carried the block of ice back to his friends.

This block of ice was the manifestation of a four-word battle armor master's life and love; it was never going to melt, and it had to remain in Shrek Academy forever.

After carefully laying the block of ice on the ground, Tang Wulin summoned his Golden Dragon Spear, and even as tears were swimming in his eyes, he began to inscribe a message on a corner of the block of ice with the tip of his spear.
