64 No Time For Them.

Would he always have to endure this kind of joke? He hoped not, but likely the common conceptions would lead to this more than one time.

Like the saying went, beat the iron while it's hot!

He would crush their hope of climbing up his bed and holding onto his thigh. After all, his precious wife had made it clear— she was not sharing!

Furthermore, he was not interested in other women, to begin with!

In his eyes, only his fiery little nymph held any worth!

"All of you get up!" then he pointed to Demona and the blondy. "Everyone else but you, go report your presence to the slave pen. I don't need you, neither does my wife. Therefore you are all useless to me." His tone frozen and devoid of gentle feelings for the fairer s.e.x.

Placing his palm on her shoulder, rubbing it, ma.s.saging it gently while still using enough force to make it worth it.

"I am sorry dear, I nearly caused you more trouble than it's worth." His tone had softened while he spoke to her, in contrast to looking through his narrowed eyes at the slave girls.

The girls s.h.i.+vered as they made their way out. The pressure they had felt from him was no joke. They did not envy the two that had stayed behind.

One looked devoid of ambition and seemed to be friendly with a clean aura. While the other, they were not too sure why she had been made to stay behind, but it could not be good…

They only thanked their lucky star, they had made no obvious moves! Or it might be them sitting in that awkward situation!

Speranza glanced at Arkalat, sitting on the chair as he ma.s.saged her shoulder, he asked her.

"My love, how do you wish to have that impertinent slave to be dealt with?"

He hoped to improve her mood by having her vent her frustration on the slave.

"What do you mean? I have no grievance with her aside from the fact that she wanted to replace me, but she has not caused anything major."

She waved it off like it did not matter but added. "It's not me they tried to dupe so why would I make a move, wasting my time and energy on them?"

While she did not like them, she was not petty enough to strike someone that was already down!

"Just let her return and be punished at the same time as the others. I am tired so I will take a little nap…"

The little bun was stirring inside, giving her a h.e.l.l of a time with all his kicks and punches. She wanted peace and quiet with a good book and a blanket!

Hometown of our heroine, memorial stones placed next to the devastated houses, there kneeled a man that looked as if he had aged twenty years in one night.

He had finally received news of his missing daughter, but she was now heading toward the most dangerous place in the realm.

He placed down a narcissus flower on the memorial. Running his finger across the tombstone engravings, closing his eyes for a moment his heart felt like it was being crushed by stones and mountains.

There laid his beloved wife, forever unable to feel or hear her sweet voice. She had given up her life for their child as he had failed both.

His eyes flashed darkly. The man that had "found" his daughter was bringing her down into the abyss. How could he not go? It would be impossible for him to remain and guard his beloved's grave after all their child was still alive and he had to find her before them!

Picking up a small bag and placing it on his shoulder, he stood up while giving the house one last glance. He left pulling down his travelling cloak hood to cover himself from the wind and chill that had started to befall the land.
