Chapter 20 Edge

It was early morning when I woke up. Whether it is a habit of a slime or after reincarnating but waking up itself is comfortable. It was terribly hard to get up and get out of the futon, it was a pleasurable to able to get up and refres.h.i.+ng.

Mira is sleeping while being wrapped in a blanket. It may be my imagination but I feel like her expression while sleeping is somewhat soft. I wonder if she is dreaming something good.

I cannot tell if the Butcher is still awake in his corpse like state. Is it necessary to sleep in the first place?

The butcher noticed that I was awake and turned its face here. The face of the skeleton even overnight is unchanged.

In the middle of it all we encountered a group of group of goblins but were instantly killed, there was no level up.

Nevertheless I wonder how many goblins there are in the area as we kept on encountering them. Although it is a habitat according to the butcher's story but it is unusually active so far, is there some sort of a cause?

Even though I was really interested but the answer does not come out. We advanced smoothly while encountering goblins several times and soon arrived to a point where we can see Mira's village.

. . . . it may be just my imagination but I have a feeling of deja vu as I had a feeling that I remembered something. No, there is no way.

It does not feel like it is an actual deja vu as it feels natural that I have seen this village before. The village where I delivered the 2 lost children, it was the village which Mira is taking us.

There are not many villages like this nearby, if I think about it I cannot but say that after all I understood it since I have pa.s.sed through it.

When I asked her about the name of the child,

"Alice is a cute girl with the same blond hair as me. I do not know the details, she was found collapsed all by herself, so what of it?"

I received the answer. If coincidences overlap then it may be good to believe that our fates are related to each other.

Nevertheless, when I helped her she seemed fine, did she receive poison from that point on?

She was alone, to think she went to that dangerous place all by herself. She did not seem like a lost child, it was as if she was in the forest on purpose, is it possible that she went out without permission?

At any rate, I will meet those children that I parted with again. Life is something wherein you would not know what would happen.

I was feeling worried but that single word gave me feelings of delight. Apparently my actions were not in vain. I am satisfied with that alone.

That instant, me and Mira completely relaxed. And the Butcher who was waiting outside has not seen this place. In other words, it means that it became an opportunity.

A momentary carelessness, the price was huge.

"Welcome back, Mira onee-chan!"

At the same time the door opens in full vigor. I did not have time to hide.

It was later understood, that even though Mira told the parents not to enter the room but the younger sister who was taking a nap and did not pay attention thought that it was alright to enter. Without a doubt that the parents were not aware if she wakes up with this timing, furthermore being accustomed to hearing Mira's voice you would a.s.sume that she came to this place.

My eyes and Mina's eyes matched. While everyone stopped moving as if time has stopped,

"Ah, a slime!"

I quickly closed Mina's mouth, Mira then proceeds to closing the opened door. It did not take even a second.
