The Marquis leaned in and set his elbows on the table as he looked at me with eyes full of thought. I hid my shaking hands behind my back. The plan that I've been working so hard on can not be ruined right now. I have to curb back the doubt on him. I stood up and walked around the room.

"I have done all of this for the sake of your son Mr. Marquis. He himself had proposed to me when I woke up the first day that I've come here. Is that not true?"

The Marquis nodded as the doubt started to abate.

"How can I be a.s.sured of your sincerity Mila? My son was very bewildered on the day that you brought him here with your tattered clothes. It could be that you yourself tore your clothes and brought my son. After all I have never seen the two of you talk or go on dates as lovers do."

What a nice retort old man. I stood behind the Marquis as I said.

"Do lovers have to go out during the day? From the beginning John and I had a physical relations.h.i.+p. He knows every part of me as I know every part of him. To the mole on his d-"

"I don't need to know that unnecessary detail Mila."

I nodded. I actually didn't know about the fact until a disturbed Jacia told me. I guess that the fact had come in handy. The Marquis picked up his teacup and swirled the tea with a teaspoon. The dark matter circled as it reflected the color of his heart.

"Mila, you do know that I could easily bring the guards in my mansion and turn in that b.a.s.t.a.r.d Baron?"

I backed away and walked around the study. The old man is desperate enough to threaten me. How wise.

"Go ahead Marquis. No man matters to me but John. I think of you as my second father yet you don't treat me as your daughter. I have sent a letter to my father detailing your kindness. I do not understand why you would start doubting me now."

The Marquis flinched as I mention the Duke of Avalon. It turns out that he was a very prominent figure. This man is a greedy b.a.s.t.a.r.d. If I can reel him in with the bait of my father's approval it will clear away his doubt. The Marquis set down his tea cup as I plopped down on the sofa in front of him. He sighed before saying.

"Mila dear. There are two things that annoy me in this world. One is tea that is too sweet and the second are people who use me as p.a.w.ns in their games. I will give you one last chance Mila. If you answer me truthfully I can forgive this little incident and still slow your crew to leave this village alive. But if you lie to me and I find out later don't even think about setting foot out of this mansion as it will be the place you utter your last words. Do I make myself clear?"

I gulped and chuckled nervously. The best thing to do now is to say a lie coated by something true. This way I can fend off his doubt as well as convince him.

"The truth is that I do love your son and wish to marry him but I have chosen the date to be very close for a reason. That reason being that I have already set up guards at the pier to catch Baron before he escapes. I wanted to keep it a surprise that I have actually been wanting to help you with this. We are accomplices after all as we will split the reward evenly. If you still doubt me you can go ahead ask John's knight."

The Marquis looked at me over his teacup before nodding. The doubt melted away from his eyes. I relaxed internally. Thank G.o.d.

"That is a good idea Mila. I did not expect you to be this useful."

I nodded. Go ahead old man insult me all you want. Today is the only day that I'll take it and not retort. I need to gain your trust once more.

"Mr. Marquis have they prepared the outfit that I will wear for my engagement?"

The Marquis nodded as he chuckled.

"Of course I have and it is a dress that will leave even your father in awe."

I smiled.

"Oh then it must be great as my father does not praise things easily."

The Marquis nodded as he set down the teacup. It was finally empty. The Marquis then stood up and walked over to the desk near the window and sat.

"You don't have to worry about the engagement party arrangements Mila. I will take care of them. I just need you to prepare yourself for it."

I nodded and bowed to the Marquis.

"I shall take my leave now father."

The Marquis smiled as he turned back to look at me.

"Before you close the door my daughter don't forget about our tall today."

I nodded as I smiled before closing the door. I then slid down the wall and sat on the floor as I trembled with sweat.

s.h.i.+T!

That was the scariest thing that I had ever done in my entire life. I am sure that he is going to go talk to John soon. Francois's crew members have already stationed themselves as "guards" near the s.h.i.+p in case the Marquis goes to check. Now the only issue I have is John and his knight. I stood up and walked down the corridor and stopped in front of John's door. I heard the noise of the bed creaking. I sighed before kicking the door wide open.

"Get up mother f.u.c.ker! Your wife wants to discuss her future plans with you before she cuts your d*** off."

I smiled. I need to keep this f.u.c.ker in check. I sighed as I realized that I was kind of acting like Jacia. That b.i.t.c.h was influencing me more than I'd like to admit.

I walked up and pushed the naked woman off of John's bed. She cried out as I glared at her and said.

"Get the f.u.c.k out of here b.i.t.c.h."

The naked woman took her servant clothing before running out of the room crying.

I turned to see a naked John start to put his blouse on. I smiled and took out my silver pistol from my pocket. I then placed the barrel on his forehead. John trembled as he raised his hands. I smirked as I slyly whispered.

"We have to talk dear, you don't have a problem with that right?"

John shook his head. I then replied with.

"Good boy. Now put on your clothes before I start puking all over your fancy red sheets."

John shook as he quickly dressed up. I watched him from the chair next to a small table in his room. I then motioned for him to sit in the chair next to me. John shook as he sat down. I then placed the gun in the middle of the table. I've noticed that recently I've been changing into more of a Pirate than I would like to. The old me would be s.h.i.+tting her pants right now but I wasn't disturbed in the least. I sighed and looked at John. I smiled and said.

"Bring your knight and tell him to bring snacks. We are going to be having a long nice chat just the three of us."
