The crew members nodded.

"As such we will be making the preliminary decisions on our next courses of action but will choose to consult you. I will say this only once. We value your opinions and hope that your opinions can be put to good use for the safety and well-being of the crew. All to ensure the success of our trip. As you may all know the problem we currently have is that the Marquis has given us these funds and supplies as well as the s.h.i.+p for a reason. That reason being to turn in Baron to the officials. We do not want to do that, so I have devised a plan in order to get the trip to happen without the Marquis getting Baron."

I then put out a map of the village which was near the Marquis's home.

"This large red circle represents the pier where the s.h.i.+p is stationed. Near the pier there is the marketplace as well as a pavilion. This pavilion is where the Marquis hopes to set up my engagement party to John. The pavilion is about a ten minute carriage ride away from the pier. Regarding the engagement, I will not actually marry John. I have prepared this is a distraction to the Marquis so that we could shy away his attention from Baron for the moment. As we do that, I will look further into the details of how I will escape the engagement party and meet you guys at the pier. If I do not come to the pier by the time I give you, go on to the trip and I will find another way to meet up with you guys. The priority of this expedition is for the retrieval of the treasure in the Bermuda Triangle without anyone getting hurt. Records have stated of the multiple risks a.s.sociated with this trip. This will be the first and last time that I say this. This trip could very much be taken at the risk of your own lives. If you want to back out no one here will judge you. Now is the only time to speak."

I waited for a couple of minutes but no one spoke. Good. Everyone is on board.

"Does everyone understand what I have just said?"

"Aye, aye captain Mila!"

I nodded. I felt a particularly intense gaze. I lifted my head to see Baron look at me. I couldn't read what his expression meant. It was as if he was apologetic, or precisely ashamed. I smiled sadly at him. Baron, our relations.h.i.+p is like this because of both of our stupid mistakes. I sighed. Let me focus on getting the trip started and then I will deal with Baron.

I then took out another scroll. It was my detailed plan for the life boats. My head ached as I looked over the drawing. The final step to the plan now is to make these lifeboats. Anxiety filled me. Are we going to make it in time?
