108 Misinterpretations

A small table filled with mouth-watering food set itself in the middle of the room next to where I sat. Maldonius sat on the chair next to the table and threw a boiled egg into his mouth.

Son of a b.i.t.c.h!

Not only was he threatening me with a life and death situation, he was also eating in front of me. As Maldonius ate, a slice of toast fell on the ground. I reached over and took it in my hand. My eyes widened.

Written with honey were the words,

"Roses are red, violets are blue, yellow is bad, but purple might be too."

I looked up at a smirking Maldonius whose cheeks were filled with mashed potatoes. HIs words came out m.u.f.fled as he said.

"Smawt wight?"

I guess that statement translates to, "smart, right?".

I chuckled despite myself. I got to hand it to him. This man was annoying just as he was creative. A tomato then rolled on the ground next to me. I picked it up to see the digits of "4:00" engraved on it. A second later it became, "3:59". I scowled.

I take back what I previously said, this dragon was nothing but an a.s.s.

Armon nuzzled his nose on my hand as I patted his head. Serafina hissed out of jealousy. I reached over and patted her head as well. Apart from the fact that I had to solve this conspicuous riddle in four minutes, I suddenly have to babysit two of the animal world's top predators as well.

I must've angered G.o.d in my previous life as I stayed up multiple nights reading s.m.u.t manhuas and novels. I raised my head. Why am I feeling ashamed?

I have no regrets! Bring it on G.o.d!

I shook my head and slapped my cheeks. I need to focus and stop thinking of unrelated things. Deep breath in and out. I swear to G.o.d that if I go back right now to my previous life, I am going to need a psychiatrist to get over this s.h.i.+t that I've gone through.

The riddle is vaguer than the past one. But there is one thing that I could be sure of, the yellow door must be the door with the worst punishment. Mentally the color yellow screams, "danger". Most poisonous animals are yellow as well as chemical acids. I shuddered. That door scares me even without the warning of the riddle.

The "roses are red and violets are blue" part of the riddle was making me stressed as h.e.l.l. In any case, it is a known fact that despite being beautiful roses have thorns. This makes me consider the red door to not appear sinister but indeed has a punishment inside. Now I have to choose between the blue and the purple door. Logically speaking the statement that "but purple might be bad to", is kind of sketchy. Violets are known to be soft flowers which are renowned for their soft and nice smell. I'm going to take a gamble and go ahead with the blue door.

I stood up as the tomato in my hand had the digits of, "0:30", on it. I then walked up to the blue door.

"Hey Maldonius, I choose the blue door. Do I need some sort of key or do I just turn the k.n.o.b."?

Maldonius swallowed his food.

"Just turn the k.n.o.b dear."

I turned the k.n.o.b to the blue door. I coughed as I smelled sulfur. Did I make a mistake? I quickly turned to close the door when I felt two large hands suck me into the room.

Two pairs of blue eyes twinkled in the darkness as the two arms held my sides and pulled me in. I screamed as I felt myself be propelled through s.p.a.ce. A minute later my throat burned as it grew hoa.r.s.e from screaming. The two large hands released me and the room was then bathed in light. I blinked as I looked at an oasis type of setting.

The room was similar to a large greenhouse. Plants and flowers of all sorts filled the room and littered the ground. A large gla.s.s dome was at the top of the room. A river ran down the center of the room. Next to my feet rested beautiful b.u.t.terflies. I exhaled calmly as I laid back down on the gra.s.s. Sunlight poured into the room and bounced off the walls creating an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. I pouted. If I had my phone I would post a picture of this on my Instagram. I sighed as I reflected. Technically ever since I came to this world, I felt my mind relax from the bustle of modern life. The sea was an added form of therapy. I never knew that being away from technology would be this calming in a way. I closed my eyes.

A few minutes later I felt a paw scratch my arm and a slap from a snake tail. I opened my eyes to see an enraged Serafina and Armon.

"What the h.e.l.l is wrong with you two?"

A deep male voice filled my head.

"You idiot! You've stepped into the most dangerous room of all!"

I sat up quickly as I looked at the greenhouse. The previously dolled up flowers were now spiky with thorns. The sunlight was now moonlight, as the greenhouse was bathed in darkness. The chirping birds and b.u.t.terflies were nowhere in sight. I winced as I held my back. I inhaled sharply as I saw my blood on the spiky ground below. My back burned just as it did when I was whipped on Johannes's s.h.i.+p. I looked up to see a figure dressed in long black robes a hood covering the head and face. Fear filled me as I crawled back until my back hit the wall of the room. A cackle filled the room as red eyes appeared from behind every plant or flower.

A large scythe glinted as it appeared from the figure's robes. The figure then put down its hood to reveal a familiar dragon. Maldonius chuckled as his eyes shone red.

"Don't you think the outfit of a grim reaper fits the mood my dear? Technically I am quite disappointed in you. I thought that you would be smarter and go for the purple door as violet is a type of purple. Ironically my dear you fall prey to a simple play of words. Anyways, why don't we begin your punishment in this room?"

My heart beat quickened as I cursed myself. f.u.c.k me, f.u.c.k me, f.u.c.k me to h.e.l.l. My stupid a.s.s went ahead and chose the worst door out of all the choices. That seems like an accurate interpretation of my luck at this point. Maldonius smirked as he set his scythe on the ground and took out his two clenched fists.

"Now my dear, which fist do you choose? Either way you go, pain will not be exempt. But just which type of pain will you choose?"

I gulped and chose his right fist. In any case, all righteous things are based on the right hand. As if a sinful b.i.t.c.h like me should talk about righteousness at this point.

Maldonius's smirk stretched from one ear to the other.

"Well, well. You must've broken a mirror, because your seven years of bad luck seem to have started. In any case, a dragon such as myself has never not enjoyed the sight of blood. Now satisfy me my dear with your loud screams."

I screamed as Maldonius raised the scythe over his head.

"Bye, bye my dear."
