172 172 More Evidence For The Case

"Let's see there is a starfish, octopus this is too small so I will free it, a squid, and a sea cuc.u.mber. You can touch some of them." Cedric picked up the sea cuc.u.mber and handed it to Yuki.

"Oh, it is slimy! That is an odd sensation." Yuki giggled and let it go back into the water. She looked into the container and poked the squid and octopus. "These are strange. Are we letting them go?"

"They are edible but they are a bit small so we will let them go. Do be careful they may squirt ink out at you." Cedric put on some gloves and lifted out a ball with tentacles. "I do not want you to touch this thing. It is rather painful and I do not need you to get hurt." He showed it to Yuki and then placed it back in the water.

Yuki watched as it moved away and gasped in its beauty. "So what was that?" She picked up the squid and displaced it in the water.

Cedric grabbed the octopus and lowered it into the water. "It was a jellyfish. I had no idea it was in there and if I did I would not have let you stick your hand into the cooler. The octopus has suction cups that is why I released it." Cedric picked out three small lobsters and two small crabs.

"I can see why those need to go back into the water. They are so small and would not give much meat at all. I would rather they go back into the ocean." Yuki went and sat back down and smiled at Cedric. She relaxed and dozed off in the sun holding her flowers.

Cedric let her rest and finished checking out all the traps on this side and released all the small and strange critters. He drove the boat to the dock and added the two cages to the four damaged pens on the dock already.

Liam peeked his head out and looked at Cedric, "six is a lot of traps. I was expecting four at most but I don't know how many more Claude has found."

Claude pulled up next to Cedric's boat and added four more broken traps. "It looks like the harvest was small. I am kinda p.i.s.sed about this. How dare they ruin my chances of having seafood."

Sephira looked at the coolers on Cedric's boat. "You look like you got a good haul. What are we going to have a lot of?"

"Liam, what are you and your mother planning on eating this evening? I will give you some of what we have so that you can bring it home right away. I do not want it to go bad so bring it home right away." Cedric was looking at Liam.

"Mother was hoping we might get a few carbs and some more shrimp. She has been doing well and wants to cook something nice." Liam pulled out a cooler and opened it up.

Cedric pulled the cooler from the dock. He opened the cooler that was full and picked out three crabs. After placing them in the cooler, he scooped out shrimp that were floating around. Once he thought it was enough he scooped the seawater into it. He pulled out his phone and texted Johnathan. ~Come pick up a container and bring it to Liam's house. Instead of money, I will pay you in seafood.~

~OH MY GOODNESS YES! I will be right there.~ Jonathan was near the dock and biked down the dock and saw Cedric. "I just want some shrimp! Please." He pulled off a cooler and handed it to Cedric.

"I figured as much. This is the cooler for Liam." Cedric handed the cooler to Liam.

Yuki opened her eyes and yawned. "Oh, we are at the dock. h.e.l.lo, again Liam and Johnathan. I see that you two are hard at work."

Jonathan secured the cooler and looked at Yuki. "I am sorry that I am not able to give you anything that costs money but here is a card from my family to you." He hands the card down to Leo.

"A handmade card is a wonderful gift. I am most grateful." Yuki read the card and saw all sorts of drawings on the card. "Your siblings did a good job. Please tell them that I said so."

Cedric added a lot of shrimp into the cooler then filled it with seawater. He lifted it up to Johnathan and Liam. "Be careful this one is heavier."

"I will let them know that you think the card is wonderful and thank you, Cedric. I know that you have company." Jonathan turned to Claude and smiled.

"Don't worry about it kid. I may be a big eater. If what Cedric had was not enough I would be upset at myself. I do not need that much food." Claude smiled and hopped on the dock. He helped the boys lift the cooler and secure it and removed one of the empty coolers. "Leave this here it will not go anywhere."

"I will make sure that it does not disappear." Tyler walked on the dock and smiled. "Good morning, I see that you already got out all the broken traps. They look like they are all broken in the same way. I will take pictures and add them to the case. Boys, can I take a picture of what Cedric is gifting you? I need to use it as evidence."

"Of course!" Jonathan opened the two containers and showed Tyler while he took the pictures.

Liam hopped onto the cart and the two boys left the dock.

"You are so good to them. They really need the help and you are willing to give them what they ask. That was a lot of shrimp. I will not get mad about it." Tyler smiled at the two boats then started to get to work on laying out the broken traps.
