150 Black Heart 2

"It seems we have been discovered," the firebirds crackling and zipping around Erykah Maat in orbit all melted back into his body as he spoke. The Temple Sheppard put one leg down at a time as if he was climbing off a raised platform, standing tall and straight as he opened his eyes to match his sworn brother's startled gaze. "I just sensed the aura of Commander Prop Uganda. He must have been monitoring this place somehow but was obstructed by your spiritual magic barrier spell. Once you dispelled it, he immediately located us. I also sense Garuda and someone far more powerful than him approaching us rapidly from the sky."

"So you escaped our trap and somehow found your way back to the city, in spite of it being under lockdown," a sinister voice echoed throughout the entire Gold District. Sigma frowned as he recognized this voice, and it wasn't Garuda. "How talented. Unfortunately, you will die today!"

"General Prop Uganda. So you have actually fallen?" Sigma Octanis nonchalantly projected his voice throughout the entire Black Heart City. All around the city heads turned toward the Golden District in shock and awe. However, once Sigma's words reached their ears, many were shaken to their core.

The sinister voice suddenly paused, as if it was shocked at the nerves of this opponent. Dozens of kilometers away in the Middle District He didn't seem surprised at all. Had he allowed himself to be discovered? General Prop Uganda cursed his own impatience. The moment he discovered Sigma, he was ready to use his newfound powers to trounce this nuisance to his former self once and for all. However, how could he have expected that the enemy was already watching him?

The streets of Black Heart City were full of shocked voices.

A Fallen!

"Did you hear that? Wasn't that the Heavenly Dog's voice?" the people in the Outer District of Black Heart City were confused and afraid. Who was powerful enough to project their voice booming through the entire city like it was the voice of a sky lord? This was something many of them couldn't comprehend. However, Prop Uganda was their local overlord. They didn't dare to gossip about this.

"It's lord Eighteenth!"

"Did he say General Prop Uganda has fallen?"

"That can't be true right?" the citizens in the Middle District were more familiar with Sigma Octanis, and it could be said the 80% of this district had great trust in him. Furthermore, many of them were powerful Great Scholars and were not afraid of one Prop Uganda, even if he was a Gold Mage and a royal general. Not even a Gold Mage could withstand the might of a magic formation powered by ten plus Great Scholars. However, similarly, they could simply not resist a Gold Mage at all without banding together.

Many of these Great Scholars didn't even like each other.

Thus, Prop Uganda still held some influence in the Middle District. As the general of the Royal Army's thirteenth division, General Uganda also held quite the prestige in the Golden District. Had one of the Royal Generals truly fallen?

"A fallen…" standing on one of the taller buildings of the Black Heart City's Middle District was the silhouette of an eight-year-old child with long flowing black hair that waved in the wind. This child had deep black eyes that s.h.i.+ned like stars but seemed to carry a seductive glow. The bottom half of the child's face was masked and they wore a thin black combat armor. She spoke to herself in a soft and hypnotizing voice, "What a lively place…it makes sense that he would be here. I wonder how he's changed…it's almost been a year right? For a young sage of the upper realms, this should be considered a period of rapid growth. He has more potential than some of the geniuses from back home. Is he able to keep up with me?"

The child stood still as the shadows she hid within as she stared silently at the horizon. However, her gaze suddenly s.h.i.+fted to the governmental buildings in the Middle District. A stifling pressure descended upon the immediate area as the figure of a man slowly floated into the sky. The immensely thick blanket of voodoo qi surrounding him caused the air the stale as the temperature plummeted in the area affected by the pressure.

Prop Uganda wore dazzling jade dragon bone combat armor as he ascended high into the skies. He gazed at the gambling house in the Gold District and used a bit of his strength to amplify his voice into one loud than Sigma's previous voice, "DIRTY DOG! Come outside to play, won't you! I have a bone to pick with you."

Sigma sneered inwardly. If this pettiness only suggested his earlier conjectures were accurate, the insult 'Dirty Dog' proved it. To think General Prop Uganda's combat soul was actually that guy's hollow soul. The heavens were truly full of jokesters. Sigma Octanis didn't bother to leave his penthouse as he commented, "Is this still about your wife, Ulysses?"

"YOU!!! Wait…" Prop Uganda almost lost control when he realized a critical point. This Sigma hadn't referred to him as Prop Uganda just then, but rather the name of his new Host Soul, Ulysses Polaris. The b.a.s.t.a.r.d son of Sigma's senior apprentice-brother Nu Octanis. "f.u.c.k! You knew?!? How? No! Since when?"

"Well, from the moment you were enraged over your wife," Sigma voice boomed at an even more intense volume as he stepped forward and seemed to somehow melt through his window onto the other side. Erykah Maat's figure also flashed as he disappeared from the room. Meanwhile, Sigma rose into the air to meet the gaze of Prop Uganda across the several dozen kilometers distance. As he spoke, magic runes silents formed and disappeared into his crowning atmosphere, "Or I should say former wife. After all, she already my concubine. We even have two children. I miss them quite a bit."

"DON'T YOU DARE LIE TO ME, YOU DIRTY b.i.t.c.h!" General Uganda seemed to completely lose his mind in that moment as a sinister dark qi erupted from his form twisting his features into something demonic. His 10-Star Silver Mage rank Sage atmosphere burst from his body like an angry flame. The light spheres of the origin qi phenomenon in the skies behind him seem to form a menacing demon emissary. His intense aura was enough to terrify all the experts in the surroundings who didn't expect his strength to be so great.

— The streets of Black Heart City

"General Uganda's aura was never this sinister…nor this powerful," an expert of Middle District commented.

"This really isn't the general anymore! He's a fallen!" screamed a female expert.

"Wait for a second," a third expert cut in with a fearful expression. "Does that mean that the thirteenth division has also fallen?"

"That can't be possible…"

"Stop spouting nonsense!"

The entire Black Heart City was witness to this drama, as the sky changed colors and mighty voices echoed through the building. It was as if they were listening to angels and demons preparing to battle. Nearby in the shadows of the middle district, two beautiful women who appeared to be seasoned warriors watched the conflict with solemn faces.

"So he has decided to finally get involved…" the dark-skinned beauty with a scar on her left cheek sneered as she looked toward the Golden District. She was voluptuous and fierce, her gaze piercing.

"Why do you fault him? I have always been in contact with him, you know that," replied the enchanting voice the beautiful blonde-haired woman by her side. She looked elegant and n.o.ble like the princess of a country. "If I had wanted him to interfere, I would have told him of our operation."

"Whatever." The dark-skinned beauty frowned and didn't pursue the topic. "It's time for us to start the a.s.sault. The dogs.h.i.+t mayor thinks we're still outside the city thanks to your hubby, and now priority target number three has been lured out. It's time to take over the Middle District."

"Right. According to our intel, all of the Middle Districts Voodoo Priests were meeting with Prop Uganda. They should be at the Government Complex," said the enchanting beauty with blond hair.

"Good." The beautiful dark-skinned girl waved her hand in a forward motion as she called out to the mob behind her, "MOVE OUT!"

— Back in the sky…

"Ah, now this is more like what I expected…" Sigma Octanis smiled faintly as he spoke to himself. This guy was so easy to irritate that killing him might be just as easy now as it was before. He maxed out his voice again as he continued to provoke the Fallen General, "Why would I need to lie? Don't forget, my old friend, that you're already dead. Why would your opinion matter? Should she just grow old alone now that you've gone gotten yourself killed by her lover?"

"How truly shameless…" Hiding in the clouds above the city, Erykah Maat shook his head at the antics of his sworn-brother. Weren't you the lover who killed him?

"You…you…huuu," General Uganda let out a heavy sigh to calm himself. His gaze turned solemn as his hatred bubbled in his guts, but unlike Sigma a.s.sumed he didn't explode and attack rashly. It seemed he had learned from his previous life's mistake. He stopped projecting his voice so dramatically and spoke in an unusually calm and dark tone, "In the Prism Realm these practices have long since been abandoned. However, you should know that my strength is not limited to the General Uganda that you know. I have recovered my own soul and bloodline. In addition, my new combat soul is the result of a dark art that rivals the prismatic arts. It's fascinating that such a thing could exist in the lower realm. Curse power is truly undervalued back home."

As General Uganda spoke an enormous dark shadow formed behind him slowing forming the silhouette of a ten-meter tall mighty demonic servant. General Uganda spat out a ball of black blood that spiraled mid-air as he shouted, "Combat Ent.i.ty: Release!"

A bronze demonic servant with two crimson horns on his forehead and a long spiked tail broke through the shadowy mold and immediately launched itself towards Sigma Octanis. At the same time, General Uganda rapidly formed curse seals that crawled out from his body and started to transform into arcane circles. Only truly power sages were able to form arcane circles so quickly.

At the same time the demonic servant combat soul punched out and a fist of pure voodoo qi flew towards Sigma faster than a missile. Just this attack already surpa.s.sed 8,000 BP!

"Impossible," Sigma Octanis frowned as he sensed the might of this attack which should be impossible for the combat ent.i.ty of a Silver Rank, Void Door Sage. How much did that dark art augment his strength? Sigma suddenly realized it wouldn't be good to let the opponent complete more than three arcane circles. He clapped his hands together, and four double-layered magic circles appeared in his atmosphere before fusing into one magic circle that shot above the demonic servant, leaving the combat ent.i.ty stunned.
