"How dare you show your face around here! After what you done to Haru you think you can just return like nothing has happened. You s.l.u.t!"

Those words were spoken by a beautiful young lady with long black hair, styled in soft waves that made her look like a delicate doll. Saya look at the girl sneering at her. It was Ai Tanaka, Sakura and Kaito's cousin. She bared a resemble to Sakura's beauty but lack her kind nature. Ai wasn't close to either of her cousins. The twins avoiding Ai as much as possible.

It was known to many how the young heiress was in love with Haru. While many girls were in love with Haru, knowing his personality they could only admire and love him from afar. Only a few were brave enough to take actions and those that did were harshly rejected without a thought.

Upon entering middle school Ai fell in love with Haru at first sight. It was without a doubt that Ai was one of the most beautiful girl in school and with her family's background everyone thought that she would prevail where all the other girls failed. Ai believed that too. How could she not? She was beautiful, smart, and due to her parents over indulgence grew to be overly spoiled and arrogant.

Seeing her cousins closeness to Haru, she tried to use them to get close to him. Sakura and Kaito have always known about Ai's spoiled personality but they never expected her to be so malicious and manipulative in her quest to get Haru's attention.

Love really does change a person but not always in a good way, especially when it comes to unrequited love. Her ploys to get close to him through her cousins didn't work. Haru never once glanced her way and the twins soon tired of her plotting ways decided to cut ties with her. Ai's hatred for the twins grew since then. Why did Haru let them be so close to him but not her?

But her hatred for her own cousins couldn't compare to the hatred she felt towards Saya. The minute she saw her prince holding hands with Saya she wanted to tear her apart. The perfect prince all the girls were in love with fell for a n.o.body. It was a slap to all the wealthy heiresses who'd been groom since the day they were born to catch the biggest fish they could. Haru was the biggest in a sea of rich heirs. He stood at the top and for him to be with a low cla.s.s n.o.body angered them. No one was as angry as Ai. She thought only she could be the perfect match for Haru and believed that with time he'll see all her efforts and be with her. He was cold to everyone so this only fueled Ai's delusions of a future with him. But that all came cras.h.i.+ng down when Saya entered the picture.

'Oh great. Just great. What a perfect way to start my first day in cla.s.s. I was so busy checking to see if I had any cla.s.ses with Haru that I forgot to check if I had any cla.s.ses with this witch. Ugh. Great job Saya,' Saya thought scolding herself.

'Just ignore it, I mean ignore her.'

Saya gave a soft tsk and continued reading the police reports completely ignoring Ai. Taking notes of the victims names and addresses she click on another file. Angry at being ignored Ai slammed her hand onto the table, making a smacking sound that echoed loudly in the quiet cla.s.sroom. Everyone's eyes were glued to the two girls and no one dared to breathe a sound antic.i.p.ating the drama unfolding before them.

"Nothing to say?! You think after all this time Haru will still have feelings for you? You better think twice about getting near him again, you b.i.t.c.h! I'll destroy you this time!"

Ai's beautiful face was twisted in anger as she spat out her threats. Seeing Saya's nonchalant face only made her angrier. She wanted to tear away that calm face of hers to shreds. Looking at her now, Ai still couldn't understand what Haru ever saw in her. She couldn't deny that Saya was beautiful but so was she. 'Besides her pretty face what else did she have? Nothing,' Ai thought bitterly.

'Why is everyone telling me to stay away from Haru?! I was planning to in the first place! It's not like I entered NSU in hopes of getting back together with him.'

That s.h.i.+p has sailed, crashed into an iceberg and sank to the very bottom of the ocean. She has no plans to ever get together with Haru again. She just wants to peacefully attend her cla.s.ses, get her degree, and solve some cases. Was that really too much to ask?!

"Let me make things very clear here, I didn't get accepted to NSU with a perfect score I may add just so I can chase after someone I left behind two years ago. Unlike some other people who are here to attract a rich husband, I'm actually here to get my education. I have nothing to do with Haru so leave me the h.e.l.l alone before you regret it."

Saya's tone was calm but pierced the intentions of many of her female cla.s.smates, angering them. Unable to control her anger Ai screamed, "You b.i.t.c.h who the h.e.l.l do you think you are?"

She raised her arm ready to slap Saya when the door opened with a loud bang.

BANG!

The poor door was almost unhinged from the force.
