6 Chapter 5

"I trust you would behave well and do your responsibilities while you live here."

"Yes," was her only answer.

"Do you need anything?"

"No."

He left after hearing her reply.

She stood up and started was.h.i.+ng the dishes then cleaned the kitchen counter. She isn't used to this but what can she do. She is desperate to have a place to live and she will do whatever she can to stay. After cleaning the kitchen area, she thought of cleaning the master's bedroom first. She was about to clean the bathroom when her eyes fell to an unlikely sight at the corner. She blushed when she saw the men's underwear sitting in the laundry bin.

"Are you having dirty thoughts, love?"

She almost jumped in surprise. "What? No!"

He just smiled and took the bin away.

"Just clean the other room. I had it repainted the other day but I had no time to clean it up. That's what you will use for the meantime."

She nodded then left immediately, afraid that the man beside him might hear her thumping heart. No matter how rude he is, his looks is still dangerously handsome and just staying in one s.p.a.ce with him might be lethal for her.

She made herself busy and though she is new to this she was able to finish cleaning everything before noon. She was about to get some rest when he heard him call from the kitchen.

"Time for lunch, my Queen."

He is really determined to embarra.s.s her with all the names he'd been calling her since this morning. She ignored him, went to the master's bedroom to retrieve her luggage and was about to exit the room when a strong hand suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her. She lost her balance and was about to fall but he grabbed her by the waist and held her close to him. She met his gaze, paralysed for a few seconds.

"Do you like what you are seeing or you just love being held by a man like this?"

"b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" Then she pushed him away only to be surprised with the sudden warm lips that covered hers.

He savagely claimed her lips and before she knew it his hands were already cupping her face, her body pinned against the open door. He kissed him violently and bit her lower lip which made her part her lips in pain. With her lips parted, he slipped his tongue to meet hers savoring her with desire. They were both breathless when he decided to part their lips.

"You don't call the man who gave you roof b.a.s.t.a.r.d, Honey," as he caressed her burning cheeks. "Now let's go and eat the food I prepared before I do anything else that would displease you."

She was left speechless for a few seconds before she decided to follow him downstairs to the dining area. She now knows how dangerous he is and he isn't going to push her luck.

They ate quietly all throughout. He stood after he finished his food and left without saying anything. She was only able to calm herself then. Her heart was pounding just at the thought of what happened earlier. She still can't believe she had been kissed by this stranger! Well, he is not totally a stranger. She had known him from before when he was still working for his grandfather. Her tears fell at the thought of his grandfather. She wouldn't be here treated this way had he not made arrangements for her wedding.

"It's your fault, Grandpa!"
