Seo Joon was in the elevator on his way to the underground parking area. It was lunchtime and he was craving for some Chinese food.

He took out his keys and unlocked his car, he was about to open his car door when he heard a female's voice not far from him. He turned his head and saw Becca Wise. She was wearing a pink maxi dress, looking very feminine. She on the phone and was standing beside a car next to Seo Joon's.

"Will you stop? You've crossed the line. Just stop calling!", she sneered angrily before she cut the call.

She turned her head to the side and noticed someone looking at her, "You?! What are you doing here? Were you following me?", she exclaimed with her brows furrowed.

With his hands in his pockets, Seo Joon stifled a laugh, "Following you? Ms. Wise, why would I do that?"

"I don't know. Creeps do. If you're not following me, why are you here then?", her tone became friendly, she crossed her arms.

Seo Joon reached for his wallet and took out a business card, he handed it over to Becca, "I work here."

She received the card and read the words in it, her brows raised and she looked at him again. "Oh… you're President Kim's son?"

He shrugged, "I'd say it must be you who's following me here.", he said with a smirk.

Becca bit her lip, she felt embarra.s.sed for randomly accusing the Vice President of Kimsun Electronics, "No… I was here to see my cousin, she works at the marketing department.", she leaned on her car and added, "Sorry. I was having a bad day. Didn't mean to accuse you, I'm not usually like this."

He smiled a gentle one, "It's alright, were you heading somewhere?", he asked.

"Well, I'm starving so I was gonna grab some lunch.", she unlocked her car as she spoke.

He tilted his head, "I was about to head out for lunch too… do you want to have lunch together?"

She looked at him and thought for a few seconds before she agreed, "You know what? Why not. I've just arrived in the country and I don't really know any good restaurants."

"How do you feel about Chinese food?", Seo Joon asked with a smile.

"Ugh! Love Chinese food! I'll follow you in my car.", she said before she got inside her white BMW.

Seo Joon and Becca arrived at the restaurant and they entered together. They were seated at the rightmost part of the dining area, it was already half past one in the afternoon and there weren't a lot of customers anymore.

As they chatted and enjoyed the delicious Chinese cuisine, a familiar figure appeared at Seo Joon's peripheral view. By instinct, he turned his head and saw Hannah arriving with Shawn and sat just across their table. She didn't notice him at first and was happily talking with Shawn who was in front of her. Seo Joon clenched his jaw.

Becca was talking about her favorite horse in their ranch and she laughed at a memory of her while she was riding. Her laugh was very playful and Hannah subconsciously s.h.i.+fted her eye towards their table. She met Seo Joon's gaze and she was surprised to see him there, she glanced at the woman sharing a meal with her best friend's brother and suddenly, she felt threatened. She was totally charming! Even Hannah had a hard time looking away.

'Why would you be threatened? It's not as if you're together. What a joke, Han.', she said to herself before she turned to Shawn again and ignored the other two.

Becca noticed Seo Joon's change in expression and she followed his gaze. "Do you know them?"

He turned his head to her and gave a faint smile, "Ah, she's my sister's best friend.", he said before he ate a piece of soup dumpling.

"Why don't you go and say hi?", Becca casually suggested. She glanced at the couple again before she looked at Seo Joon.

"Nah, she's on a date. So... your horse? Who names their horse Bulletproof Alf?", he changed the subject.

Becca laughed heartily, "Hey! I thought it was cool when I was young, okay!? I was kind of boyish back then and we used to play pirates and bandits with my friends and then my dad got me a horse. We figured, why not make him join the gang, you know?"

Seo Joon snorted, "It does sound like a Bandit. Bulletproof Alf.", he shook his head and laughed.

"Oh that's not all... you should've met my dog, Dorothy the Pillager; and my cat, Scarface Kylie.", both of them were sent into a fit of laughter.

From time to time, without him knowing, Hannah would steal a glance and sigh inwardly. Seo Joon and the girl were having so much fun in each other's company and she feels so sour.

After their meal, Seo Joon asked for the bill, but when it arrived, Becca grabbed the holder very quickly that his hand was left suspended in the air and paid for the meal. He was shocked and didn't realize what happened until the waitress had already left.

"W-what did you do? I was gonna pay.", he said with a puzzled expression.

"I know but I wanted to treat you to a meal, you know... I kinda accused you earlier.", she said sheepishly.

Seo Joon chuckled, "That was nothing, well... if you insist then I'll let you do so today. I'll just have to treat you to another meal then."

"You don't have to.", Becca replied.

"Maybe but I don't like to owe someone.", he smiled and stood up from the table, "Shall we go?"

She nodded her pretty head and followed him from behind, "Oh, Joon... do you know a good coffee shop? I need a caffeine fix", she asked as she pa.s.sed by Hannah and Shawn's table.

Hannah looked up at them, Seo Joon didn't glance at her but just continued to walk, "I have great coffee in my office. I'll make you some."

"Really? Wow, I'm honored but I won't turn down free coffee!", Becca excitedly admitted.

Hannah's brows scrunched up very slightly as she tried not to show any emotions on her face but her mind was already in chaos. She was getting nervous but what else can she do? It's not like she has any right.

Did Seo Joon intend to say that to make Hannah hear? Who knows. Whether it's true or not, Hannah was still protesting in her heart. It's been a while since they have talked to each other, but since he wasn't willing to make amends, she thought, 'Why should I?'.

And thus, Seo Joon and Becca left the restaurant and headed to back to Kimsun Electronics.
