Samantha walked inside the Cho Corporation's building wearing a beige dress and kitten heels, and unlike the old times, she didn't wear a mask but she had on a light colored cat-eye sungla.s.ses. She looked really cute.

When she reached the receptionist, she took off her sungla.s.ses and spoke, "Hi, I'm here to see the CEO."

The lady lifted her head and started to ask, "Do you have an-", she paused midway, mesmerized by the beauty in front of her before she realized who it was. It was the same woman that she drove away months ago, she almost got fired because of that. She quickly plastered on a smile, "Good day, Ms. Kim. Certainly, I will escort you to the elevator."

She gestured for a few security guards to come over and Samantha was baffled with the sudden attention. Back then, she was chased out. Now, what's this?

People who were present in the lobby looked her way as she walked towards the private elevator with a few security guards and the receptionist behind her.

The crowd in the lobby were gossiping and they weren't even discreet about it because Samantha heard everything. But she just chuckled to herself, people really know how to make it juicy.

The receptionist gave her a polite smile and continued to walk towards the elevator. She pressed a b.u.t.ton and gestured for Samantha to step inside.

"Have a great day, Ms. Kim.", the lady greeted before the elevator doors closed.

Samantha went straight to Daniel's floor and was greeted by his secretary with her head lowered,

"Good afternoon, Ms. Kim. This way, please.", she said before she led Samantha towards Daniel's office.

'Okay, everyone is acting so weird, isn't this a bit too much?'

His secretary knocked on the door before she opened it, "President Cho, Ms. Kim is here."

The door opened and revealed the people inside, Daniel was at the meeting table with some executives and directors.

A few of them had their brows raised, 'Who does this person think she is? We are in the middle of the meeting yet she entered the CEO's office. Doesn't she know that the president doesn't like to be interrupted?'. They had similar thoughts in mind, some were just curious to know who the beautiful lady is.

Director Leah had an unreadable expression, she had been doing a lot of projects for the past few months just to get closer to the CEO. A few months ago, she overheard him and his a.s.sistant about Samantha's disappearance and she was overjoyed thinking that she finally lost her compet.i.tor. So despite him being very irritable, she was very patient and did a lot of things just to catch his attention.

One time about 2 months ago, Daniel was working overtime and fell asleep on his desk. Leah knocked but didn't hear a response. The lights were still on inside his office so she bravely opened the door and took a peek inside and found the handsome man of her dreams sleeping. She looked around her carefully before she went inside his office. Her heart raced as she thought of ideas, she became confident all of a sudden. Sneakily, she went over the desk and was planning to give him a kiss while he was still asleep but before she could even get close, the doors opened and a.s.sistant Ahn came inside.

"Director Tan, what are you doing here?", said Ahn with a puzzled expression.

She made up some lie about asking the president some advice about the project. She left after receiving a cold glare from his a.s.sistant; she was so obvious.

'Seriously, Boss. Could you take care of yourself more? How would you face Ms. Kim once you find her?', a.s.sistant Ahn thought.

Daniel turned his head and everyone waited for his rage. But, what they heard next made their faces contort.

"You're here early.", he said tenderly as he glanced at his watch.

Realizing that he was busy, she composed herself, "Sorry, I didn't know that you were in a meeting. I'll just come back-"

"No, it's okay. Wait for me for a bit, we're almost done anyway.", he dismissed Samantha's words.

'What do you mean we're almost done? Boss, it hasn't even been 20 minutes, we just started!', a.s.sistant Ahn questioned in his thoughts, who would dare question the president in person?

The members of the meeting all thought the same, Director Tan clenched her fist. 'This bîtch is still alive? If you wanted to leave why did you come back?'

Daniel turned to his secretary, "Bring her some water, mango juice, and a box of Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory biscuits.", he spoke in a very gentle manner making every one of his employee's lip twitch.
