The pa.s.senger's door opened and out came the CEO of Cho Corporation looking so put up in his business suit. As he got out, he closed a b.u.t.ton on his coat and contrary to what all of the employees expect that he would enter the building right away, Daniel turned around and was doing something at the backseat. 

The Cho Corporation employees' expression became curious and their brows knitted, wondering what their president was doing that it took him a while to appear. 

All of their eyes went wide when they finally saw their CEO heading towards them, carrying what looked like a baby-Daniel.

Daniel wore his blue business suit, a color that Samantha always liked seeing him in. While Ashton was dressed up in a white soft b.u.t.ton s.h.i.+rt and blue pants. The two of them looked extremely adorable.

Normally, the employees would bow their heads when their CEO pa.s.ses by but this time, they were frozen and were possibly holding their breaths as they looked at the pair walk in front of them.

It was the first time that they had ever seen their president hold a baby; what's more, the baby resembled him a lot! They had heard rumors about their madam's disappearance. A lot of gossips circulated here and there – their CEO's wife left, has gone missing, the couple divorced, etc. And now, suddenly, he turned up with a baby! All of them were shocked and did not know what to think that they forgot their manners for a while as they started to react and whisper to each other.

Hearing his employees', Daniel stopped in the middle and scanned the group. "What? Is this your first time seeing such a handsome looking baby?"

The employees' stiffened even more. They did not expect the question that he threw at them. They were baffled if their boss was scolding them or really asking them a question because his tone did not seem like he was mad.

The truth was, Daniel controlled the sound of his voice in order not to scare Ashton. Because if he were to use his cold voice, he was afraid that Ash might cry right there.

His employees then bowed their heads and zipped their mouths while Daniel continued to walk towards the elevator.

And as soon as he was out of earshot, the employees began to gossip actively.

"Oh my G.o.d! Who was that cute little boy?"

"Are you dumb? Of course, it was the President's son!"

"How can you be so sure? What if it was just his nephew?"

"Are you saying it was Vice-president Cho's son then?"

Their thoughts had gone wild and as they started to speculate.

Reaching the meeting room, Daniel along with a.s.sistant Ahn and two more people as his bodyguards entered.

The room was noisy before Daniel came in but as soon as he did, their chatter stopped abruptly and a look of surprise appeared on their faces when they saw him with a baby.

They did not dare say anything but continued to observe their president's movements.

Daniel walked towards the end of the table and as if coordinated, the two bodyguards set up a baby's high chair next to the CEO's seat which was facing the long table. He then placed little Ash securely in the seat before he took his own and scanned the faces of his people.

The scene that the subordinates just saw in front was something that they had never seen before. Daniel garnered strange looks from everyone but it wasn't the kind where they were criticizing him but rather a look of surprise, bewilderment, and excitement.

Daniel obviously knew why they all looked like that but he did not bother explaining and started to ask questions. "What's the situation in Pennington Land?"

"Umm… yes, umm… well, there was a problem with the permit… they said that…" the subordinate that was talking was distracted and kept looking at Ashton because the little boy was strangely and unexpectedly obedient. Ash sat there and was just looking at them with an expressionless face just like his father who was waiting for the report. 

"Mr. Zhen," Daniel called his attention.

Mr. Zhen shook his head and could no longer keep it in so he just had to ask. "I'm sorry, President Cho but who is this little... Um… baby?"

Sighing, Daniel thought that he needed to introduce his son to get it over and done with. "This is Ashton Daniel, your future boss."

"F-f-future boss?" Mr. Zhen lagged a bit. Wasn't he supposed to introduce their relations.h.i.+p? How about saying 'his son'? What did he mean by 'future boss?' 

There were eight of his subordinates at the table who reacted to what their boss just said. Murmurs and silent squeals from the women were heard, making Daniel's mouth twitch. 

Seeing that they were still in a daze, Daniel then put up his cold demeanor and announced. "He is my son, treat him well and you'll reap great benefits from his reign. Are you all satisfied now? Or do you still want to waste my time when I shouldn't even be in the office today?"

Clearing his throat, Mr. Zhen continued his report and tried his best to ignore the little human who was being extremely cute, behaving next to his daddy. All of them sneaked glances from time to time at the young master.

And that was how Ashton Daniel had his very first business meeting at the Cho Corporation.

The meeting finished an hour later and all that Daniel did to keep Ashton preoccupied was give him a few toys and he just sat there minding his own business despite drooling a lot; Daniel wiped it, of course.

When the meeting ended, they waved at little Ash as they exited the room and to their surprise, baby Ash returned their attention with a really cute giggle, making their hearts jump a little in excitement. They were instantly hooked by the young charmer. Daniel felt proud to have his son with him. 

"Great job, today buddy." Daniel kissed the top of Ash's head before he carried him up. "You're hungry now, aren't you?"

"Let's go get you some food." Daniel headed out of the company and got in his car. When they drove away, he gave Ashton some snacks to munch on.

"Boss, shall I drive you home?" a.s.sistant Ahn asked.

Daniel thought about it for a moment before he answered, "Find a baby store. I need to buy a few things."

Half surprised, Ahn drove to the nearest mall. When they got there, Daniel did not actually stay for a long time.

Carrying little Ashy with him inside, he went in, pointed at a bunch of things as he pa.s.sed along the aisles and then came out of the store in ten minutes.

As Ahn loaded their purchases in the car, he felt all of his facial muscles twitch. 'Boss, you kinda went overboard. This isn't a few things.' He thought as he looked at all of the things they bought.

Later in the evening, it wasn't even eight when Samantha arrived home. She did a lot of things that day with the girls and was worried that she didn't hear anything from her boys.

Entering the house, it seemed very quiet but she was surprised to see that there were not a lot of 'mess' in it. 

"h.e.l.lo? Honey?" Samantha called but there was no answer.

Wondering where they were, she headed to her bedroom and opened the door. "Are you guys in-"

Samantha's voice trailed off when she saw them sleeping soundly on the bed. A smile appeared on her face especially when she saw the two of them sleeping next to each other in the same position with one hand resting above their heads and the other on their stomach. She found it incredibly cute that she immediately took a picture. 

She couldn't resist but join in so after maneuvering her way to the bed, avoiding the boxes of what she thought were baby products, she placed a kiss on Ashton's head and found her way to Daniel's side, kissing him on the cheek as she settled on his arm.

The worry that she had for leaving them alone was all gone, seeing that they were both safe and without a scratch. It was a very nice feeling coming home to her family.
