A few hours after their vigorous exercise, it was already morning . The two of them got out of bed, showered and got dressed . When they got out of the bedroom, Philip had already prepared breakfast and was eating at the table . He must have gotten inside the house sometime last night .

"I don't like you calling him by his first name," he added .

Samantha pursed her lips, "Then I won't . "

When they got out of the car, she asked him, "Is she going with you too?"

Daniel chuckled and brought her close to him, cupping her face and kissing her deeply before answering, "She's not . . . so you can stop being jealous . "

Samantha felt silly so she smiled and nodded, feeling a little better after his a.s.surance .

They walked over to them and at the same time, a frail woman was being dragged towards them . Devyn could barely walk and so she had to be dragged and held up .  

There were dark circles on her eyes and she could barely open them . Her face was still swollen and Samantha was irked to see her fingers . She did not know what happened to them but she could not look at them for more than two seconds .  

"Good morning, Samantha . It's lovely to see you again . " Gael greeted but Samantha only gave him a polite nod . He glanced at Daniel and saw him looking his way so he only shrugged .

Feeling the presence of people around her, Devyn looked up and saw Samantha . A smirk formed on her face though it was very painful, she held it in place . "Look who's here . Did you come to see me in this state?"

Samantha crossed her arms and a sinister smile appeared, "Actually yes . Though it's too bad I was not there to see it but looking at you right now, it's still satisfying . "

"You just wait, Samantha… you and your child . . . you will-" 

Before Devyn could even finish her sentence, her face met Samantha's hard fist, shutting her up . She winced in pain and cursed . Her nose broke and blood dripped .  

"You just don't know when to stop," Samantha bit out .

Daniel, Gael, Sean, and Vivian were all surprised, their eyes grew wide . Gael whistled a low one like he was complimenting her swiftness .

Daniel was especially stunned . Although he had already seen her moves before, he was still not used to see her s.p.u.n.k like that but he was proud nonetheless .  

"Wow, she's feisty!" Vivian complimented but Samantha ignored her .

"Good job, Samantha," Gael winked at her while Sean gave her a thumbs up .

"Anyway…" Vivian took something out from a small case that she was holding and handed it over to Daniel . It was a syringe that had a pale orange liquid inside . "Here . "

"What is this?" He asked .

"This is what I told you about…" She started to explain . The drug inside the syringe was actually another poison that Devyn had partic.i.p.ated in making a couple of years ago .  

When administered, it would take several hours until it will take full effect but slowly, the person will start to itch all over .  

The itch will start mild like a mosquito bite until it will gradually become an unbearable one in eight hours . By then, the itch will be accompanied with pain . The subject will surely suffer to its death .

Before, Daniel told Samantha a lot about the horrible things that Devyn had done and just recently, he also told her about their separation . Recalling the time that she was poisoned, her memories from when she had the chemical pregnancy and all those times that she fainted and her health deteriorated, her bottled up anger resurfaced . Samantha's hand trembled a bit but she plunged the needle to her flesh, making Devyn wince . She held it in place but did not administer the drug . 'She likes needles so much, why don't I give her one?' She thought .

Gael's eyes focused on her and saw the fierce look on her face . He loved seeing Samantha so determined like that but just like Daniel, he didn't want her to go through such a situation .

Daniel saw the needle pierce through devyn's skin . He slowly approached Samantha from the back and carefully placed his hand on her waist as he whispered to her, "Don't do it, Sam… this isn't you .
