His heart ached by the thought of losing her and his hand formed into a fist as he raged in fury while he planned his revenge for the sc.u.m who harmed his woman. Breathing out a sigh, Daniel tried to calm himself down although the rage still remained burning in his heart. When he calmed down, he called Logan over who was standing a few meters away from him.

"Yes, boss?"

"Find out who was in contact with Samantha two months ago. I want details of anyone that you find suspicious." He ordered as he thought of ways on how to deal with the person if the poison will be proven. He had already imagined breaking that person's bones with his bare hands.

Tilting his head, Logan wondered, "Wasn't that around the time that I started working?"

Daniel nodded his head, "I need you to be thorough. Use as many men as you need and leave several with us."

Logan left after a few more instructions from Daniel. Using his reports, he retraced all of the places where he followed Samantha before and started to look into the little details. This was a difficult task for him because two months was a long time ago but he was not going to back down, not now when his boss' wife was in danger.

After Samantha's tests, she went to look for Daniel and found him at the hallway talking on the phone. She could see that he was in deep thoughts and was focused on the conversation as he did not even notice that she was approaching him.

Touching his shoulder, Samantha smiled as he looked up at her. "Hey…" she mouthed.

"I'll call you again later," he said to the other line before he ended the call. Daniel got up from the seat and returned his wife's smile with his own. "You're done with everything?" He asked as he held her hand and interlaced his fingers with hers — her hand was soft, delicate and a little cold. Her hands and feet were actually cold ever since he met her but since she got sick, it was colder than usual and he had formed the habit of warming them up for her.

"Yes, they took blood again," she said with a pout. "Shall we meet up with my friends for lunch now?" She asked, loving the way he held her while they started walking.

"Mhmm, I've already reserved a table for us. We'll meet them there." He answered as they left the hospital and walked towards their car that was parked just in front of the hospital.

Yanovich's Mansion

In the master's bedroom, Lavro Yanovich had just finished dressing up when his a.s.sistant came into his room. He waved his hand to the servants who helped him change and they all left his room in a hurry.

Once they were alone, his a.s.sistant walked up to him and spoke, "Master."

"Speak," he said as he walked towards the huge window, watching over the gardeners that were tending his land.

"I have received a report from the hospital and someone saw him giving the woman's doctor some doc.u.ments and talking in secret," his a.s.sistant relayed the information.

"And?"

"I instructed to keep observing and to find out about those doc.u.ments. Do you think that he found out about the poison?"

"The only way that he would know for sure is if he will have the drug to check it with. They might be noticing more signs and symptoms now but there will be nothing that they can do without the antidote." Turning around, he headed towards the door, "Tell that doctor to be on standby. Two months should be almost over."

Following Lavro outside of the room, he took out his phone right away, ready to inform the doctor that was on their side and answered, "Yes, master."

On a busy street in the capital of Country K, a fleet of twelve luxurious sports cars convoyed, making everyone's eyes turn towards their direction and gape over the astonis.h.i.+ng sight.

Daniel drove Lucas' Hennessey Venom GT with Samantha on the pa.s.senger's seat while Seo Joon drove baby Taz with Hannah. Liam also joined in the trailing using his own Audi R8, bringing Becca along with him who was also excited for the adventure.

The fleet drove along the busy road until they reached the outskirts of the city where it was calmer and where there were fewer cars. They headed towards the Kim family's cabin in the mountains which was about a hundred kilometers away from the city. They were going to spend the night there before Samantha's friends go back home the next day.
