The phone call was picked up at the second ring, "Daniel?", Lucas answered.

"Lucas, who is that VIP? And why is he looking for this woman?", Daniel questioned and his voice sounded urgent.

Lucas Olsen noticed the difference in the sound of his voice from earlier and he realized that something was off, "Why? Do you know that woman?", he probed.

Daniel pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, "Yes, she's Samantha's friend. And they are both in the countryside right now."

Upon hearing Daniel's answer, Lucas felt a chill on his back. 'This is not good.', he thought.

"Now, tell me, Lucas. What is going on?", Daniel urged.

"Okay, calm down. The VIP is a citizen from Country T, I am not sure if you have heard of him but his name is Gael De Luca.", Lucas started.

"De Luca… wait, from Country T? So he is a member of the Mafia Family... De Luca?"

"Looks like you have heard of their family, yes he is. Although he is only the nephew of the current leader of the clan, he still holds a huge weight and is also influential. He's a pain in the a.s.s.", Lucas explained.

At that point, Daniel was already feeling very nervous. "I still don't get why he is after this woman. Is she in trouble?"

"Right, apparently… that woman from the picture was Gael's woman. They were together for a couple of months until she accidentally found out about his dealings. She wanted to leave him but this b.a.s.t.a.r.d didn't allow her and had her kept inside his estate. She managed to escape but she also had injured Gael in the process. I'm not sure what he wants from her but if he went to your country just to look for that woman, he is serious."

If this man was looking for Becca and they found her, Samantha could be in danger. Daniel was already starting to see red.

"Lucas, the two of them are in the countryside. If De Luca finds this woman first, Samantha could be in danger!", Daniel worried.

"I will send some men from my division there in Country K to help you, they will follow your orders like they're following mine.", Lucas informed.

"Thank you but won't you be in conflict with him?"

Lucas a.s.sured his friend over the phone, "You are family, Daniel. Family first. Best of luck!"

Their phone call ended and as soon as it did, Daniel dialed Samantha's phone number.

"The number you have dialed is either unattended or out of coverage area, please try your call later.", an automated voice was heard from the line.

When he heard this, his heart raced and he became anxious. "You better be safe, Samantha.", he muttered under his breath.

He tried calling one more time but he heard the same prompt.

"d.a.m.n it!", he cursed.

Daniel had already thought of a lot of things in his mind and all of them weren't pretty. He doesn't know who this Gael De Luca is but according to Lucas' explanation, he was sure that this man was dangerous.

Grabbing his coat from the stand, Daniel hurriedly walked out of his office.

"Clear my schedule, I have an emergency.", he ordered his secretary as soon as he came out of his office.

"But President, the clients from Asco… you're supposed to meet them in two hours.", his secretary reminded him.

Daniel stopped in his tracks. He was in a dilemma but there was no way he was gonna put off going to Samantha because of this. Although he had been working on this partners.h.i.+p for a few weeks now, Samantha's safety was more important to him.

Breathing out, he turned around to face his secretary and instructed her some things before he walked towards the elevator.

Heading towards the Vice President's office, Daniel was dialing a number on his phone. The phone call was picked up right away.

"Yes, Mr. Cho?"

"Flash, find Samantha's exact location right now.", he ordered.

Tapping sounds of the keyboard were heard over the phone, "Give me one second."

"Her cell phone is currently out of coverage but the last location seems to be from a restaurant in Mansfield Town. I'm sending the address to your phone.", Flash explained.

As soon as he said that, Daniel had received a text message with the pinned location.

"Be on standby.", he said before ending the call.

Reaching his brother's office, he opened the door and found Liam eating Chinese food for lunch.

When he saw his brother came in with a look on his face that he knew so well, his gut already told him that he was going to be used again.

"I need you to meet the clients from Asco in two hours, I have to step out of the office.", he spoke hurriedly making Liam confused about what was actually going on.

Daniel's brother tried to reason, "Uhh… but… you are the one that they have been meeting ever since. If they don't see you today…".

"Samantha could be in trouble. I need to leave.", that was all he had to say and Liam already understood his brother's urgency.

"What's going on?"

Daniel told him briefly about the situation and the instant that Liam learned about it, he was also very concerned about his future sister-in-law's safety.

Just as Daniel finished explaining to his brother, his phone rang again and the ID showed Lucas' contact number.

"Lucas.", he spoke when he answered the call.

"Daniel, I just heard from one of Gael De Luca's men that they have already found the woman's location and that they were on their way there since this morning.", Lucas informed.

Daniel Cho gritted his teeth, he's about 5 hours away from where Samantha and Becca were. If he drove very fast, he could arrive in probably a couple of hours but even then, he would still be late as Gael would have already reached there first before he does.

But what else could he do?
