"Mother, you should go home and rest. Why don't I stay here for the night?", Liam offered.

It was already almost six in the evening and it was getting dark outside. Daniel and Samantha had also stayed in the hospital for the whole day.

Chairman Cho had woken up a few times since they have arrived earlier that day. He was already feeling a little better but he still needs to stay in the hospital.

Mrs. Cho shook her head. She addressed her son Liam, "No, you should go. You need to go to work tomorrow, and you too Daniel. You have to make sure that the news about your father's hospitalization will be kept from the media."

Daniel nodded and he rea.s.sured his mom, "Don't worry, mother. But are you sure that you're okay here by yourself?"

"Of course! Also, I don't want to be home alone while your father is here."

"Then we'll go ahead, I'll come back tomorrow.", Daniel said.

"Auntie, make sure you also sleep. Your health is important as much as Uncle's.", Samantha reminded.

Mrs. Cho felt very warm because of her sons and Samantha's concern. She's very lucky to have such a loving family. "Don't worry about me. Now, you kids go. And Samantha, remember what I said. Dr. Nathan Yun is-"

"Let's go. We're going, We're walking. We're moving.", Daniel interrupted his mother as he pushed Samantha out of the VIP room, he heard his mother laugh as they left and all he could do was ignore it and shove it at the back of his mind.

The truth is, Mrs. Cho did find Nathan Yun as a good-looking young one but she was, of course, just playing with her son. She wanted to see how Daniel would react when people are s.h.i.+pping Samantha to other men, and boy was she not wrong. Her son is a jealous man. But she was also serious about making Daniel think that he can't be too lax just because he's already Samantha's boyfriend. If he wants something, he has to work hard for it, right?

But what Mrs. Cho is not aware of is that her son was already facing a lot of compet.i.tion and a lot of hard work.

Liam had already gone ahead of Samantha and Daniel as he still needed to drop by the Cho Corporation's headquarters. Samantha tried to keep up with Daniel who was walking so fast towards the exit.

'Why is he walking so d.a.m.n fast?', she sneered in her thoughts.

When they got into Daniel's car, he turned on the engine and drove away. Their car ride was quiet and Samantha was starting to feel awkward as she felt that the temperature inside the car had become colder even with the air conditioner turned off.

"Honey, are you hungry? I'll treat you to some food. Where do you want to eat?", Samantha asked using her sweetest voice.

She waited.

And waited for a few more seconds.

But Daniel didn't say anything. Not glancing at her, not even a twitch anywhere. Nada!

'Oh, G.o.d. He's mad.'. She thought and her back became sweaty. 'Why is he mad anyway?'

She tried to reach out her hand and touched his arm, stroking it. "Darling? I asked if you're hungry… do you want to have dinner with me?", she asked one more time.

All that Samantha got was just a shake of his head.

They were heading towards Sapphire Gardens and since her last question 20 minutes ago, Samantha just pursed her lips and no longer talked as she doesn't know how to approach this sulking Daniel.

When they arrived at Samantha's villa, Daniel parked the car on the driveway. Samantha opened her door but she stopped when she noticed that Daniel wasn't getting off the car.

"Um… honey? Are you not getting off the car?", she asked and as soon as she finished her question, Daniel pushed open his car and got out of it; still not talking.

'This grown-up child is sulking like his toy was taken away from him.', Samantha thought but she sauntered towards Daniel anyway and held his hand as they entered her villa.

"Are you really not talking to me anymore?", Samantha asked when they arrived in her living room.

Daniel lazily sat down on the sofa and closed his eyes. He was feeling extremely exhausted because of what happened to his father that day; not to mention his mom who was playing with him. And the worst thing wasn't that he believed his mother. Rather, he knew that she was playing with him somehow but he still couldn't help himself but feel annoyed by it.

'What's with Nathan Yun, anyway?', he questioned in his mind.

Looking at her man, Samantha couldn't help but sigh. She sat on the sofa beside him and lay on his shoulder, "Talk to me.", she pouted. She was already feeling bored and lonely, 'Why is he not speaking to me?'

A couple of minutes later, Daniel finally let out a sigh and spoke. "Do you really think that he's more handsome and smarter than me?"

Samantha suddenly sat up and her eyes widened. 'Was he still thinking about that?', she panicked as she tried to think of how to pacify her man. "Darling… what are you talking about? Of course not! You're the most handsome and the smartest one!"

Daniel side glanced at her and she gulped. She wasn't feeling guilty or anything but mad Daniel is not a good one; he's very unpredictable.

"Are you jealous, Mr. Cho?", Samantha tried to suppress her smile as she didn't want to add fuel to the fire.

Daniel's brows furrowed as he looked straight at her.

'Oops! Wrong move, Sam.', she told herself. Immediately, Samantha snuggled to him close and inhaled his scent. "Honey… don't believe your mom. You're the only man for me, I promise!", she swore earnestly.

"What can I do so that you won't get mad anymore?", she asked coyly.

"I'm not mad."

"Sure… so… what can I do so that you won't be like… whatever you are right now anymore?"

"Forget it. I'm just tired.", he spoke in a low voice which made Samantha get nervous even more.

Anxiously, she just blurted out what came to mind. "No… uh… um. I'll do whatever you want. I'll cook for you. Or do you want a ma.s.sage?", she suggested.

He lowered his head and then looked at the woman who was a bit agitated. He tried so hard to control his laughter because Samantha looked very cute at that moment as she did her best to coax him.

"Really? You'll do anything that I want?", he raised a brow while he contained himself.

"Anything! I'll do it as long as you won't be mad anymore!", she declared as she straightened up.

Without saying anything else, Daniel stood up from the sofa. He then pulled her up with him and dragged her towards the bedroom.

Samantha was startled by their sudden movement, "Wh-what are we doing? Honey?"

Reaching the bedroom, Daniel made her sit on the bed and he started to unb.u.t.ton his s.h.i.+rt.

Speaking in a low voice, he hissed."You said you that would do anything I want."
