"Matt!" called out Maria

Matt closed the door, turned back, and entered the living room where everyone else was waiting for him.

The men who were getting scolded by women were in different corners with the women scolding them while the rest of the women were sitting on the sofas in the living room or on the chairs next to the kitchen slab and right now all of them were looking at him.

Matt was standing at the entrance of the living room from the exit door without any expression and asked: "What is it, mom!?"

Maria's mouth twitched when she heard Matt's question and couldn't help but ask "Where were you going, young man?"

"I was going to the other VVIP Room since it looked like you all were busy!" Matt replied with the same expressionless face.

"And whose fault do you think it is" Mary shouted unable to control herself when she saw her brother's behavior.

"I don't think it's my fault! What I am doing is making necessary arrangements for our survival, if I take your feelings into account for that then we won't be able to survive for a week in the apocalypse." Matt stated

Hearing his words all the women whose anger was boiling up till now started t cool down.

"What we did was necessary not only to make this hotel safe for all of you but for them to gain necessary experience against the zombies and most importantly for them to gain abilities. I forced them to continue clearing the hotel until the end instead of coming here and have lunch with their wives or family because I knew that they would be fully exhausted by that time they cleared the hotel of the zombies and then the chances for them to gain abilities will be highest and I was right about that, now all of them have an ability of their own and Mike and Ethan's ability jumped to the second level. This was possible because they followed my orders because I think it is much more necessary for them to gain an ability then keeping you happy" Matt explained

Hearing Matt's explanation there face turned ugly at the beginning than serious later it turned happy when they found out that every man have gained an ability for themselves and finally weird after hearing Matt's last sentence and they didn't know what to say anymore.

Matt saw their expression and knew that they were struggling and decided to help them a little "Though I don't know why none of them told you about gaining the ability and why they wanted to hide it from you all"

Mary immediately picked up the meaning of that comment and turned back to Paul, "Yes, why didn't you told me that you have gained an ability Paul"

"Th-That's because-"

"Are you trying to find an excuse for that? I am your wife how can you not tell me about it, don't you think this is something you should have told me the moment you entered the room" Mary interrupted Paul before he could even say anything.

Learning from Mary the other women started to barrage the men with the same questions, this time Ethan was lucky enough to slip away from Maria when she was asking questions from her son hence he was saved from the second round of scolding though others weren't so lucky.

"You are really petty Matt! Since they threw you under the bus you decided to take revenge" Susan said as she came towards him from the kitchen.

"I was just speaking the truth nothing else" Matt replied as he turned his head towards Susan with a smile on his face.

"Angel did you cleaned yourself," asked Sarah as she came from the washroom right behind Angel with wet clothes in her hand.

"Yes Mom I did" replied Angel

"Were you was.h.i.+ng your clothes Sarah!?" asked Matt

"Yes, since we don't know until when we will have to live like this and we don't have many clothes so it's better that we always keep our clothes clean" replied Sarah

"Uncle Matt! When are you going to give us a ride on your bear" asked Suzy as she came running and held onto Matt's pants.

"Yes Yes you promised you will give us ride on it!" said Chris as he came running towards Matt as well.

"OK! Why don't I give it you know?" Matt said

"Wait Wait Wait!!! What are these abilities you are talking about?" Chloe w.a.n.g who was sitting on the sofa along with her friends, Abigail, Emma, and Grace wasn't able to understand what abilities Matt and the others were talking about and when they couldn't control their curiosity and asked the question.

"Oh! No one told you, did they? It's the same as your Marvel's Mutants and Inhuman. But we gain it after reaching the point of extreme exhaustion of body u0026 mind and then eating the meat of the mutated animals" Matt explained.

"Sorry! What?" exclaimed Chloe and Emma at once.

"It's like-"

"Uncle Matt let's go! You can talk later" Suzy said

"Come-on Uncle Matt let's go" Chris called out as well

"OK OK we are going," said Matt to the kids the turned his head towards the 4 Hollywood actresses sitting on the sofa and said "I am sorry Ethan and Mike will fill you in with the rest! I need to complete the promise I made with the kids"

Matt signaled Ethan to start explaining the facts to them who understood what he wanted and walked towards the 4 actresses and started to explain what Matt had already told him about the abilities.

Matt looked at Angel and asked, "Do you wanna come with us as well Angel!?"

"Yes, I wanna ride on the bear as well" Angel replied to which Matt only smiled then remembered that there was another kid that he brought yesterday but couldn't see him today hence he asked about him, "Where is the other kid, Joshua was his name right I can't see him?"

"He is still traumatized from what he saw last night and doesn't want to come out of the room and Pamela stays beside him to make sure that he feels safe" replied Susan

"Oh! I can't do anything in that regard. I will take the kids with me then, you can come outside to check on them anytime you want we will be in the hallway only"
