"Yes, mom I need to go, you are forgetting that youand sis started vomiting when the smell of those dead zombies entered your nose. It's not something you can easily get used to mom" stated Matt.

"So you are gonig to different floors to look for a sutable room for us" Susan stated.

"Correct!" Matt said

"Let's go then" Mike said walking towards the main door.

"Oh! You are not coming with me" Matt said.

"You want to go alone for looking for rooms at different floors, are you nuts" Mike said.

"I am not going to look for suitable rooms for us right now, first I need to go the hotel lobby and find the master card from the receptionist for every room, otherwise we won't be able to enter any room." Matt said as he took out a utility knife from his inventory pa.s.sing on to Mike.

"I will take you with me when I start searching for rooms but before that you have to get used to fact of breaking peoples head open" Matt said as Mike took the knife from him.

"And how do you propose I do that" asked Mike.

"Simple there are many dead zombies outside, use that knife to split there head open" Matt said

Everyone was silent and no one spoke a word as they were shocked by the fact that Matt wanted Mike to split open dead zombies to head.

"I don't want you to become a statue after killing a single zombie. So get started" Matt said.

"Fine!" Mike said as he nodded his head.

'Umm... can I come with you" said Ethan brown the military Technician.

"You want to follow me" asked Matt in surprise as he didn't think that this guy was courageous enough to do that.

"Yes, I may be able to help you a little" said Ethan.

Matt took a long look at Ethan and said "You don't want to get accustomed first like Mike"

"No, even though I am a technician in military but we do get trained first so as to not get easily taken out and I have seen head blowing up before so I think I would be enough" stated Ethan.

Matt smiled and tossed a mask and a fire axe that he took from the 5th floor when he was comming upstairs to Ethan Brown, then made a chopping gesture. "Remember. Chop down at those zombies' heads!"

The calmness and courage in Matt's eyes gave Ethan the same courage and calmness. Ethan stared Matt's eyes and no longer felt as afraid as before. He nodded firmly and said, "Okay!"

"We will be back after a while" Matt said as he and Ethan walked out of their room followed by Mike closing the door of the room behind them, as they stood in the hallway the foul smell of zombies wafted in their nose.

Ethan and Mike scrunched their nose but the foul smell wasn't something that could be stopped so easily.

"You should try to get used to it a little as their is no way the apocalypse is ending any time soon and if you want to fight the zombies and kill them, then this smell is something that you will have to live with." Mmatt said as he turned his head and looked at his Grizzy Bear who was still eating a zombie.

"My bear will leave the zombies head and you can practice on them, when you think that you have gotten used to them then you can go back inside and one more thing! If you find somethig inside their head then keep it with you Ok" Matt said.

"Why sould there be something in their head?" asked Mike.

"Because only by hitting them in the head can we kill them so there must be something in there! There is a fire axe on every floor you can use the one here if you don't want to use the knife." Matt said as he hand Ethan walked towards the elevator.

"OK!" Mike said and walked towards the emergency exit where the fire axe is kept.

The elevator showed it was on their floor. Matt cautiously pressed the b.u.t.ton, then signaled to Mike. The two of them pressed their bodies against the wall, raising their weapons in their hands. Their eyes locked on the elevator.

The elevator door slowly opened, and a rotting figure leaped out of the elevator. Both of them wer prepared and were easily able to dodge the pounce from it. Matt has side stepped and turned his body giving him the momentum he needed for him to attack.

The zombie didn't have the time to adjust, and didn't even that it's prey had escaped and it fell down from the momentum. It's sharp teeth bit the ground.

But that was the last it could do as a sharp weapon came from behind him spliting it's head open.

*CRACK* came the noise when Matt's kukri splitted the head open of the zombie.

Mike who was looking at the two of them from not far and thought whether he would have been able to dodge that zombie's attack or not.

Matt and Ethan entered the elevator after he signaled Mike that everything was okay.

The elevator descended without obstruction, just like Ethand siking heart. He turned around and studied Matt. He still had the same expression that he wore when he shot Brigadier General Richards and his men. Even though the apocalypse had started Ethan haven't seen him getting fl.u.s.teres at all till now.

"Your reaction was good! Most people wouldn't have been able to react that fast." said Matt.

"Um.. thanks" Ethan said after which he turned his head back towards the elevators door. He didn't know how many zombies would be waiting for them in the first dloor lobby. Perhaps the moment the elevator ddoe opened he would be drowned in them. But he had to do this, he knew that everyone else up there were family or friend to him and only he was a stranger who had been helping the military to track him. If he didn't showed his worth now then he didn't knew what will become of him.

The door opened and Matt and Ethan exited the elevator slowlyafter making sure that no one was around them.

"We are here!"
