Matt was already prepared for it and paid the price for the gun but he didn't forget to buy an extra casing of ammunitions for it.

"Happy doing business with you please come again" said John with a smile on his face as he made a profit of more than 2000 dollars.

Matt just smiled at that and nodded his head after which he left the store. After leaving the store he opened his inventory to keep the gun and ammunitions inside. The inventory was opened showing a blue interface in front of him which was divided into 30 small boxes. He placed the gun and ammunitions in front of one of the boxes and it swallowed them up after which that box showed a image of Desert Eagle along with its box of ammunitions.

"Man! This will come in handy" Matt said with a smile on his face as he knew that in the early stages of apocalypse people were not able to take many things with them when they ran and many died due to thirst or hunger or cold or disease etc.

The next place he went was a medical shop and bought many bandages, disinfectant along with medicines useful for fever, cold, virals and so on.

Storing them in his inventory, Matt got to know that he could only store one type of item in one box, meaning if he stored Guns and ammunitions in one, then he won't be able to store anything else in it and if he have stored Medicines and bandages in another box then only things belonging to health maintenance could be kept in it.

"Well, I still have 28 inventory boxes which are more than enough for me to keep the important things with me" Matt thought after which he decided to go back to the University since he have been out for more then few hours.

As he was sitting in a taxi going back to the university his phone rang, he looked at the caller and saw that it was Mike who was calling him.

"Yeah, what is it Mike!?" asked Matt as he picked up the call.

"Matt! Where are you!?" asked Mike.

"I left the university for a while but I am on the way back!" replied Matt.

"You went out! When!? Why didn't you called me!?" asked Mike.

"I went to a medical shop to buy some medicines for headache that's all!" stated Matt.

"WHAT!? You have a headache! Are you going to cancel the date!? You can't do that my sister will kill me!" said a hysterical Mike.

"See that's why I didn't told you earlier!? It's nothing serious I am fine and I will be back in 15 minutes after which we will take the girls for the date we promised" Matt stated.

"phew.... you almost scared me to death" said Mike releasing the breath he was holding, "Then you are all good now"

"Yes I am, I will talk to you when I reach the university Ok" Matt said.

"Come fast then we haven't even decided where to take the girls" Mike said to which Matt 'hummed' in confirmation after which he disconnected the phone.

Matt closed his eyes as he started remembering about Mike's twin little sister, who was his girlfriend as well Susan Robinson, a smart, beautiful and confident women who was the No.1 bella of the campus. If not for Mike introducing them to each other, Matt knew that they wouldn't have became a couple as he proudly called himself the cupid of their love. Unfortunately she died in the beginning of the apocalypse along with Mike's girlfriend Rose and both the boys were unable to save them, not only that but the rest of the family of Mike died as well which was the reason for him committing suicide.

Matt's condition wasn't much different, his family had died as well but he couldn't commit suicide as he had to protect his nieces from the apocalypse. The son and daughter of his sister and brother-in-law who gave their life to protect them, so how could Matt let their sacrifice go in vain. Hence he protected them until they became strong enough to protect them and the other's around them as well.

Coming out of his trance Matt saw that he had already reached the university, after paying the cash to the taxi driver he walked back to his dorm room.

When he reached the dorm and entered in his room, he saw Mike sitting on the table while he was looking something in his laptop.

"What the h.e.l.l are you doing!? I haven't seen you this focused even when you are studying" asked Matt.

"I am finding a suitable restaurant for the date! Which should be your job as well!? Go open your laptop and search for a good restaurant" order Mike

"Huh! Why are you thinking so much!? Isn't All Star a good restaurant" said Matt.

"No! We always went there before the lockdown this time we should go somewhere else" stated Mike.

Matt sighed and messaged Susan asking if she and Rose were OK with 'All Star' to which he instantly got the reply with an OK sign.

"The girls are fine with All Star" Matt said.

"What!? When did that happen?" asked Mike in surprise.

"Just now!" said Matt showing his chat with Mike's sister.

"Good! You just solved my headache" stated Mike

"Stop spouting nonsense! The girls just want to spend time with us as they will be going back to meet their family with whom the haven't met for 6 months that's all" said Matt.

"Yeah! about that I am going with Susan as well, since I am also missing mom's cooking. That's why I wanted to ask are you really not going back!? Haven't aunt and uncle called you" Mike said.

"They did but I have many important things to deal with so I can't go back" replied Matt as he thought "I will be heading for the forest tomorrow to hunt the mutated animals, so how can I go back!"

"Well it's up to you to decide but don't study all the time an do some stretching as well OK, If I found that you are slacking once again then I will kick your a.s.s" Mike said.

"Ha ha ha ha..... sure why not!"
