The end of this chapter was a little bittersweet as a reader who knows what’s going on COUGH COUGH the t.i.tle COUGH COUGH. Lol.

Xu Song's birthday was coming up soon, and Fu Xiaoke  asked him what kind of present he wanted. Xu Song thought about it for a second before replying: "I have a wis.h.!.+"

Fu Xiaoke asks what it was as Xu Song pulled at her hand, looking straight into her eyes. He turned serious and told her: "I wish to see you in a skirt!"

Fu Xiaoke felt her heart struggling.

She bit down on her lips, then released them.

"My legs……are quite ugly……"

Xu Song arched his eyebrows and looked at her, knowing that keeping silent would make her continue what she was saying.

"……My legs were scalded when I was younger, and the accident  left a huge scar. It looks really ugly and scary! I haven't worn a skirt in years……" A hint of loneliness could be detected from her voice.

Xu Song could felt his heart tightening. He couldn't help but feel distressed for her and he frowned a little. But in just a moment he stopped frowning and smiled, as he pulled Fu Xiaoke outside of the cla.s.sroom.

"Oh? Where are we going?" Fu Xiaoke asked while mindlessly following him.

"Don't worry about it, just come with me, my lovely Cinderella!" He pulled on her hand, running out of the building.

The sun outside shone brightly.

With her hand in his hand as they ran out under the brilliant sunlight, Fu Xiaoke felt incredibly happy and delighted.

Xu Song dragged Fu Xiaoke into a clothing store where he handpicked a long Bohemian styled skirt for her.

"There, in this you won't be able to see your scar!"

Fu Xiaoke stared at the gorgeous skirt, completely in a daze.

"This skirt gives off a western vibe, I don't think it'll suit me……" She hesitated.

However, Xu Song replied: "Cinderella isn't destined to sweep ash, and at the ball before it turned 12, she was the most beautiful woman there!" He told Fu Xiaoke, "There's no such thing as not suitable; all you have to do is change your hairstyle, then change into this skirt. Then, I guarantee you, it'll be like you have become a new person!"

Fu Xiaoke felt her heart flutter at his words.

It was Xu Song's birthday two days later, and on that day, Fu Xiaoke got a trim, and changed into the skirt she had bought. She even allowed Ning Zhixin to apply some light makeup for her.

After Zhixin finished, she was met with a wave of praises.

"Wow! Have my makeup skills really evolved to such a level? Sure enough, even a sow can become Diao Chan!" Ning Zhixin loudly shouted.

Boss and Old Second were more excessive. They spit out the water in their mouths and the books in their hands fell to the ground immediately.

"Fu Xiaoke?! Wow, this world is going crazy! It's like a mouse is becoming a cat's bridesmaid!! Fu Xiaoke can also become a beautiful girl if she puts in the effort to dress up!!!"

After hearing their comments, Fu Xiaoke became embarra.s.sed yet delighted.

She suddenly wanted to know what Xu Song's expression would be like once he saw her.

And Fu Xiaoke was not disappointed. The minute Xu Song saw her, his eyes instantly changed.

With fixed eyes, and his heated gaze, he stared at her until he made her feel restless and anxious.

The guys in his cla.s.s  all began to jeer. They shouted: "Ah Xu Song, what a surprise, you are a lucky man!"

"Wow Xu Song, I didn't think you'd picked up a gem!"

"Dang Xu Song, is this what you call a blessing in disguise?"

Fu Xiaoke didn't really understand the last sentence that was said. Just as she was about to ask, she saw Xu Song slap the head of the one who had spoken.

"Move out of the way and stop talking nonsense!!"

The person smiled evilly. He moved to another side as he said, "Yeah yeah yeah, I won't talk nonsense! I'll move to the side, and I'll stop talking about it."

Fu Xiaoke still had her doubts about what was said, however because she was so wrapped up in Xu Song, those words were soon pushed into the back of her mind and forgotten.

Because he was happy, Xu Song drank some alcohol. The whole entire night, he held onto Fu Xiaoke's hand, unwilling to let go, as if he was holding on to something so valuable, and if he were to let go, he'd lose it.

Fu Xiaoke let him have his way, and the entire night, her face was extremely red, as if she too had drank alcohol.

Xu Song waited for everyone to avert their attention elsewhere, before whispering into her ear quietly: "Xiaoke, you're so pretty! I think I'm falling in love with you!" His voice was deep and heavy, husky even. The magnetism of his voice swept into her ears, and she felt as if she was going to faint.

She hung her head, timidly laughing, as her heart felt as if a can of honey had been spilled within.
