1105 Fever On A Rainy Day

"Aren't you tired when you come back home? Are you excited now?"

Yun Bixue nodded. "I feel excited whenever it rains."

However, both of them still slept early. After all, both of them had to go to work tomorrow. This was not Ning An City.

If they were still in Ning An City, they had full control over their own time. If it rained or snowed, they could choose not to go to work without any trouble.

However, this was not possible in the capital. Especially given the nature of Xie Limo's job, he could not give himself special treatment. This made Yun Bixue's heart ache as well. She was always worried that he would be tired out from this.

"I'm not as weak as you think I am." To Xie Limo, sleeping for three or four hours a day was pretty normal. He had been long used to it. It was only after meeting Yun Bixue that he started to follow a normal daily routine with her.

The next morning, the sky was still gloomy as it continued to rain.

The sound of rain hitting against the windows could be heard clearly, making Yun Bixue even more lazy to get up from bed. The gloomy, rainy weather, coupled with the pitter-patter sound of the rain, made the atmosphere fit for lazing in bed.

Usually, she would have gotten up at this time to cook for Xie Limo. However, today, she simply felt like lying in bed.

A cool autumn rain signified the turn of the season. She could hear the wind rustling against the windows outside and knew that the temperature outside had surely dropped.

When Xie Limo woke up, he did not realize that Yun Bixue had already opened her eyes. He covered her with the blanket as gently as he could.

He then went to wash up and prepare breakfast. Once he was done, he walked to the bedroom and saw that Yun Bixue was still not up.

He walked over to the bedside and sat down. He placed his hands beside Yun Bixue and said in a soft voice, "Little lazy kitty, aren't you getting up to eat?"

Yun Bixue let out a low grumble and said, "I'm sleepy, I don't feel like waking up."

"Since it's raining outside, you don't have to go to work now. I'll put breakfast in the microwave, you can heat it up and eat it once you wake up. It's raining outside, don't go running about. The roads in the capital will be easily jammed in this kind of weather. It's not safe…"

Xie Limo nagged on, but Yun Bixue was not really listening. She just felt weak all over.

When Xie Limo came back in the afternoon, the rain had slowed down to a drizzle. However, it continued drizzling, and the weather was indeed a little cold. He was a little worried about his wife, so he immediately came back home once he got off work.

However, after entering his house, he suddenly felt that things were a little off. Usually, Yun Bixue would have already come to welcome him with a smile.

He changed his shoes and did not even take off his coat as he walked into the bedroom. When he saw Yun Bixue still lying in bed, he heaved a sigh of relief. He could not help but laugh as he said, "It's already afternoon, why are you still in bed?"

Yun Bixue turned around. When she saw that Xie Limo was back, she wanted to force out a smile, but she realized that her body felt lifeless, and she did not even have the energy to smile.

Once he saw Yun Bixue's face, the smile on Xie Limo's face immediately faded. His expression turned serious as he immediately stretched out his hand and felt Yun Bixue's forehead. "It's so hot. You have a fever."

Yun Bixue asked in a daze, "I have a fever?"

Xie Limo sighed and did not say anything else. He quickly took some fever medicine from the first aid box and poured some hot water. He hugged Yun Bixue and supported her up to a sitting position. He rested her against his arm and fed her some medicine.

Yun Bixue stared at the medicine and frowned reflexively.

Xie Limo's heart clenched as he coaxed, "Be good now. Take the medicine first." Thankfully, he kept some spare medicine at home. He did not have time to take Yun Bixue's temperature first, but seeing how hot her forehead was, she was definitely running a fever.
