22 The Start Of A New Era Start Of Arc-2

As Lucas and Emma retreated from the graveyard, he slowly went over the recent events.

He was 99% sure that the sniper was none other than Martin. The bullet and the shot all pointed towards it.

Diablo did mention about a hole in s.p.a.ce-time. It is perfectly possible that they weren't the only ones who had exploited it.

The only other person Lucas knew that was summoned here was the human hero.

That would mean, that Martin could very well be the hero. Martin, a hero!

That was so ridiculous that Lucas didn't even know where to start. Either way he will decide how to handle the Martin situation later, it wouldn't be wise to approach him now as there is a huge chance that he is under surveillance.

There was a much bigger problem currently. One that started with a capital V.

Vincent Crepitus.

Though, Lucas had no proof he was sure of his instincts. The hit and run bomber they had just met had to be Vincent. It couldn't be anyone else.

But.....

Vincent shouldn't be alive.

He was at the very epicenter of the explosion.

The fact that he survived and was somehow transported to this world, meant that the s.p.a.ce-time hole was a lot more mysterious than originally perceived.

It also means that Vincent is a wild-card, one that no power knows about.

'The Demons and Humans couldn't the only ones aware of the s.p.a.ce-time anomaly. The ever silent Elves and merpeople should also have the necessary technology, not to mention whoever were these guys at the revenant of the flying eye.'

'There were many ways to exploit this anomaly. Humans and Demons decided to summon us here, it is equally possible that they also sent someone to our world that we don't know about. That could also be the case with other races.'

'Which means that our current lives aren't as irrelevant to our previous world as we first thought.'

'All these possibilities and we are still only talking about this dimension, the multiverse should also have other worlds interested in inter-dimensional contact/expansion.'

Originally Lucas was just pa.s.sively completing a quest to succeed as The Demon Lord, but now he felt an extremely new surge of urgency.

'The reason that I win all my battles before they begin is that I know the position of every piece on the chessboard before making a move.'

'Now however there are too many unknown elements. The chessboard can also no longer be confined to a 2-dimensional plane. He had to take the initiative and speed up the process. He had to finish this war before it started.

Just manipulating around was not going to be enough. The time to slowly test and measure his opponents, surroundings and the world was over.

He couldn't mope around his loss anymore. The last time he lost because he didn't manipulate the public opinion in his favor and blatantly used underhanded tactics.

It was time to take action. The Anarchists will start spreading their claws in this world too. Lucas would make sure they would never leave the shadows. They would be a force that will keep watch over the rest of the world and make sure that the common people don't suffer. Pure Anarchy wasn't possible, but rule under Anarchists was.

He had a world to conquer, and it wasn't going to be the last as he knew that things would soon get multi-dimensional.

Emma White looked at the man in front of her, she had expected to find some excitement in her outing, but this was a lot more than she had bargained for.

After reaching a distance the both of them stopped moving.

The man's aura seemed to change throughout. Before if he, might have seemed like a controller of darkness, now he seemed like a Monarch hidden in Shadows.

One with ambitions larger than the world itself.

"Originally, my plan was just to make sure that you support the treaty the humans propose."

"Now, it seems like there are many more parties hoping to profit from this war, and you are an easy target."

General White scrunched up her eyebrows, just who did he think was an easy target.

"Now, I would like to propose a deal with you. I can promise the t.i.tle of Demon Lord to you if you agree to join our organization and follow all of our orders. You don't even have to become a zombie!"

"Why do all of you keep offering me the throne? Is it-"

"Yes, the fact that you want the throne is 'that' obvious."

"..."

"You can make that decision later, I will come and visit you. For now, you just have to agree to the treaty. If we win the war you will get to become the monarch of two realms. In exchange, I will take care of these Revenants silently. How about this deal. You have nothing to lose either way."

Emma couldn't help but feel tempted. G.o.d knew how long she had l.u.s.ted for that throne.

Before it seemed impossible, as the crown prince Lucifer the 5th seemed all set for succession, but then after his mysterious disappearance he was p.r.o.nounced dead. The dark lady had never shown interest in the throne but the rumors that the king had found a new heir were all over the place.

Help from a mysterious organization would increase her chances by a lot. He was right, for now, she would accept the deal and would think about the other offer later on.

"I will think about it."

"Glad to hear it"

With that Lucas slipped into the shadows and went right back to camp.

He needed to have a chat with Lilith. As much as she said she had no designs on the throne, it could only mean that her ambitions were much greater.

She could either be an extremely valuable ally and an a.s.set to the Anarchists or an extremely deadly enemy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adam had won.

He had defeated the Anarchists and wiped them off the face of Terra.

He had saved the world and made it a better place.

He was the hero of the entire planet of Terra.

Unfortunately, the last attack made by the Anarchists in their dying throes had affected them heavily. Many of his friends and allies had died in the explosions. The important ones had survived as they had stayed behind.

He would have died too, but for some reason, Lucas had decided to save him before sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

If that was all it would have been fine, unfortunately, it wasn't.

The Island that once used to be the base of the Anarchists, now is a no-man's land.

A sp.a.w.ning point from where 'they' came.

'Otherworlders' of all shapes and sizes.

Of all races and origin-worlds.

From different dimensions and orientations.

Bringing things like Magic, futuristic technology, sorcery and a lot more.

The interactable world had become so much larger.

The existence of other worlds had just become mainstream, as more and more worlds learned of the existence of others and made contact with others a dark forest of mistrust was slowly developing.

An inter-dimensional war was soon going to take place, and Terra was going to be the battlefield.
