'In your dreams!' Kim s.h.i.+n exclaimed in his mind as he hurriedly ran. However, before he could run far, a silhouette of a man suddenly jumped over him and blocked his path.

"You're not going anywhere." The man arrogantly stated as he glared at Kim s.h.i.+n.

Seeing the familiar appearance of the man, the village's guards couldn't refrain themselves from exclaiming. "Captain!!!"

"WOOO! Captain's finally here!"

"Captain! Captain! Captain!"

"Kill that human!"

'Hmm, he seems pretty famous even with his undescribable appearance...' Kim s.h.i.+n smiled with that thought when he heard the voices of the village's guards as he appraised the man before him.

Pair with big apple-green eyes and brushed-up long aquamarine hair with spear-like runes connected on his sideburns. Khrusz could be described as a cool man. Unfortunately, he has a big and long nose like a goblin added with thick lips and square chin. To be more specific, Khrusz's appearance was like a squared-face goblin with a height of 6ft tall and dark-brown skin.

Khrusz was heavily clad by white-silver full plate armor, emphasizing his dark color, with an azure cape over his shoulder, and armed with a bra.s.s-colored spear, with a green cloth coiled before the spear's blue-green blade.

'That spear's blade seems like made of rare material.' Kim s.h.i.+n's eyes instantly lit up once he saw Khrusz's spear.

On the other hand, when Khrusz heard the voices of his men couldn't stop his eyebrows to twitch in annoyance.

"SHUT UP! You dare to open all your mouth when y'all couldn't kill a single human?!" He bellowed without ounce of mercy. As a matter of fact, he's watching the fight from the village's wall, and he ludicrously couldn't believe what he witnessed. His men couldn't graze a weakling human that armed with trash equipments.

"C-Cap..."

They couldn't utter a single word once they heard their captain's furious voice. They knew that they become a laughingstock in their captain's eyes. Hence, they couldn't do anything but lowered their heads, ashamed at their incapability.

"You, human, you're not going anywhere!" After scolding his men, Khrusz turned his head and shouted at Kim s.h.i.+n who's about sneak away.

"Well, if you insist." Kim s.h.i.+n simply answered as he shrugged his shoulder.

In reality, Kim s.h.i.+n really wanted to escape right away. However, he immediately erased that decision after he saw Khrusz's spear. Although his not spear wielder, he knew someone that would certainly love it.

So, with that in mind, he decided to get that spear before leaving. It's a waste if a good weapon was on a trash person's hands.

"You humans are just new here, but you already dared to cause a ruckus in our village?" Khrusz spoke to Kim s.h.i.+n as if the humans are in fault here.

Hearing this, Kim s.h.i.+n scoffed at Khrusz's words as he replied. "Funny!"

Narrowing his eyes at Kim s.h.i.+n's answer, Khrusz then asked. "What's funny?!"

"HAHA. Nothing. It's just amusing that you all could wore an expression as if you're all an innocent."

"What do you mean about that?"

Khrusz's tone of voice became cold as his expression darkened.

'It seems like this man know something...' He thought as he clenched his spear with his hands. Preparing himself from the incoming battle.

"Haha. I think you already understood what I mean about that."

Kim s.h.i.+n chuckled as he softly answered and gripped the hilt of his sword.

"Wha— the prisoners!"

Khrusz who's about question Kim s.h.i.+n exclaimed in realization as his expression became even more darker. "You, what did you do?"

"No, it's impossible. He wouldn't able to found that place..." He immediately shook his head, as he muttered under his breath, denying the fact that Kim s.h.i.+n indeed discovered the prison cell. He then stared at the human before him as he saw Kim s.h.i.+n smiling weirdly to him.

"I don't care. All I need to do is to kill you. So, I can lessen the chief's anger!" Khrusz bellowed as he looked at Kim s.h.i.+n with killing intent.

"Hmph."

As he felt Khrusz's killing intent, Kim s.h.i.+n simply snorted as he spoke. "So, you've decided to be my enemy huh?!"

"I'm already your opponent the time you made a mess in my village!"

Khrusz replied as he forward his left foot, slightly bent his knees, pulling his spear by his right hand as he faintly support the blade of his spear by his left hand.

Kim s.h.i.+n, on the other hand, simply positioned his right arm and foot to the front as he held his constellations devourer before him.

Silence filled the surroundings, even the guards who already surround Kim s.h.i.+n and Khrusz were quiet as they hold their breaths. Seemingly afraid to cause a distraction.

The two stared at each other without moving an inch. Then, suddenly, a bead of sweat from one of the watching guards fell on the ground.

Drip!

And in just an instant, Kim s.h.i.+n and Khrusz quickly pushed their feet and run at full speed towards each other.

Crack! Whoos.h.!.+

A web-like cracked appeared on the ground around Khrusz feet with his weight. However, despite his weight, he's moving with incredible speed.

'What a surprise.' Kim s.h.i.+n commented in his mind, as he slightly lowered his upper torso, increasing his speed.

Whoos.h.!.+

Khrusz, who's running with full speed, suddenly uttered something, causing his speed increased by another level seemingly dragged by his spear. "Swift Stab!"

Fwoos.h.!.+

Khrusz's speed split the air as his spear shone with blue light. "DIE!!!"

'So, fast!' Kim s.h.i.+n exclaimed in his mind as he unhesitatingly stopped and mightily pushed his foot on the ground, forcing him to jumped high in the air as a web-like cracked footprint appeared on the floor.

Swoosh~

Boom!

A loud explosion reverberated after Khrusz pa.s.sed over Kim s.h.i.+n's previous location, followed by a strong gust of wind.

"Air bullet!"

"Tsk!" Khrusz clicked his tongue in frustration as he looked upward, just to be surprised that a swift air bullets are about to hit him.

'd.a.m.n!' He cussed in his mind as he hurriedly moved his spear in a circular motion, causing a strong wind around him.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Three continuous ear-splitting explosions filled the surroundings as Khrusz instantly engulfed by a huge cloud of dust.

"Captain!" The guards who're watching the battle called out in worry. Although they believed at the prowess of their captain, they still couldn't stop themselves from worrying, since their captain's opponent was a formidable human.

Kim s.h.i.+n's who's slowly falling in the air frowned at the system's log.

'His defense is great!' He commented bitterly, realizing that his too weak to inflict large damage to a warrior type, especially a high-level person.

In the middle of the cloud of dust, a powerful azure light suddenly appeared, which surprised everyone except Kim s.h.i.+n, followed by a loud voice of Khrusz as he flew upward, instantly appearing before Kim s.h.i.+n with his spear seemingly want to pierce Kim s.h.i.+n badly. "Sparrow Thrust!"

"Captain!" The guards exclaimed in happiness as the worry they felt immediately vanished. As they cheered their captain. "Go, captain. Kill him"

"Kill!"

'Oh, s.h.i.+t!' Kim s.h.i.+n cursed inwardly as he caught surprised by Khrusz's skill. Without thinking twice, he hurriedly activated his skill, "Over Limit!"

A powerful aura exploded out of Kim s.h.i.+n's body as he blocked Khrusz's attack before the last moment.

"N-No way!" With widened eyes, Khrusz uttered in disbelief.

He was utterly shocked!

'How could he have this kind of power?' He thought with a complex expression.

"Yes, way!" Kim s.h.i.+n retorted as he raised his sword over his head and about to strike Khrusz's upper torso. However, before his sword could found his way on Khrusz's body, he heard a faint archaic voice amidst of the silent crowd.

"Bramble s.h.i.+eld!"

A deafening explosion reverberated as Kim s.h.i.+n's attack landed on the thorns in a figure of a 2-meters tall s.h.i.+eld. However, the th.o.r.n.y s.h.i.+eld didn't last that long and broke in half as Khrusz rocketed deep down to the ground.

"Urgh!" Khrusz, who's in the middle of wide crater, whined in pain as he coughed a mouthful of blood because of the impact.

Smoothly landing on the ground, Kim s.h.i.+n stared at the Khrusz who's lying on the ground with a long crack on his plate armor. However, despite that damage on Khrusz's armor, he knew that he didn't manage to inflict large damage, because of the sudden appearance of the th.o.r.n.y s.h.i.+eld.

'Who?' Kim s.h.i.+n thought as he raised his head and looked around him.

"I know you're there. Show yourself!" He loudly shouted that confused the still shocked and gaping guards.

"HEHEHE." A creepy and weird laughed echoed around as the guards who're closer at the sound hurriedly turned their head, and to their shock, they saw a tall man in a long green cloak.

"C-Chief?!"

"Sorry, I don't have any intention to interrupt your battle earlier. But, I couldn't just stand and watch my men to die!"
