627 The Opening of the [Dark Frozen Prison]

I let Aro out of my mouth, and face her and the treant as he switches to his tree spirit form.

Were you the only one in the [Dark Frozen Prison] though?

I dont remember anything from when I was inside, so I cant say anything

Treant replies with a look of concern. Ah, right, time was frozen inside, after all.

Suddenly, the liquid remains of the the origin matter begins to hiss as it evaporates. At the same time, six monsters appear side-by-side.

Two are giant bull-headed humans, another is a lump of rock plastered with eyes; its clear at a glance that each of them are dangerous. One of the monsters has a face in its torso in place of its head. It might be related to an adam.

[Dark Frozen Prison] isnt limited to just a single monster. Of course, I considered this a possibility. After all, the origin matter had been trapped in this forest for an incredibly long time.

The blood drains from my face. These guystheyre all B+ at a minimum. If Im unlucky, a Legendary could be mixed in.

All of them are drooling languidly and looking around with lifeless eyes. Theres no sign of any emotion remaining in any of them. Theyve all got [God of Madness]!

All three of us are near our limits. Its dangerous to fight now.

L-lets get away for now!

At the same time as I say that, a flash of light runs through the six monsters.

[Godspeed Flash].

A black blade cuts through the six monsters. The monsters feebly fall down, immobile as they sink into the ground. It happened in an instant.

As we stare, stunned, a woman lands on the ground in front of us. Her long hair flutters in the air behind her. A giant sword is clutched in her hand, longer than she is tall.

After looking us over, the woman turns to survey the surroundings. Unlike the mad monsters, her movements have a clear intellect behind them. Perhaps shes the still-sane divine skill holder of the past we were hoping for.

The woman turns to face us again, a smile on her face.

I see, it seems I won the bet. You are the divine skill holder of the current age, and the holders followers, right?

Shes wearing a dark cloak, and her expression seems somewhat artificial. Her face seems familiar to me somehow theres something she reminds me of Ah, she looks like the clay brave that fought me as part of Umukahimes test.

You look surprised. Even though your time is limited, you went out of your way to fight the dangerous origin matter. I thought for sure you wanted to meet me, but was that wrong?

As though wary of the womans easygoing attitude, Aro stands in front of me. Its no wonder shes on guard. This woman is strange. This is as I had hoped, but now Im not sure if I can trust her.

There are various parts that Im worried about, but as an ally theres nothing to criticise in her status. This woman. Shes the Umukahimes master, Hero Miia, and the Demon Lord Alchimia. I never thought shed still be alive. From what Ive heard, she shouldnt have much in the way of personality problems, and Id feel safer with her than someone I know nothing of.

Thats what I thought, at least, but looking at her bearing I cant help but feel uneasy.
