Not wanting to see Lannie's dagger-like stare at him, Erik s.h.i.+fted his attention to one the worker of the Robertson estate . "Is there more this cake?" He asked while pointing at the cake in front of Kyle .

"Yes . That's the only piece that's been taken . "

"Really? Let me have some!" Erik was about to stand up to get a piece but Kyle stopped him from doing so .

"The cake was made especially for me, not for you . So hands off . " Everyone was surprised by his sudden affirm remark . Most importantly Kyle himself is also surprised; it's just a cake but why wouldn't he share some to his friend? But there's a part of him that his friend doesn't deserve to get a taste of it because it was made for him and only for him and no one else is allowed to get a taste of it .

"Uh . . . Why are you being so greedy? You don't even like cakes that much . Even if you like that cake you can't eat all of it by yourself!" Now, Erik really wants to get a taste of the cake Anna made . He wonders want kind of a secret ingredient did Anna put on that cake that Kyle wouldn't even share a piece of it .

"I don't need to explain myself to you and whether I eat all of it by myself is none of your business . " After saying this Kyle stood up, took his small plate and went to his room upstairs .

Seeing that Kyle leaves them without saying anything else . Erik was stupified, this is the first time that Kyle would care about such a thing . Usually whenever there was a girl giving him something he would throw it away or give it to him but now he wants all of it for himself, isn't that a bit selfish? "Um . . . Did that Anna girl put some poison on that cake?" He asked subconsciously .

"Nope . " Lannie laughs heartedly as she answered Erik's question . Even though her plan was ruined by Erik, there was quite a good outcome in the end . 'Good, Good! It's not a waste after all . '

Stan who was quiet the whole time is now smiling happily and so did Layla . Seeing Lannie, Stan and Layla looking so happy Erik felt the family in this house are possessed by some happy spirit and because of that, he felt that his stay here is making him feel uncomfortable by every second that pa.s.sed so he decided to go home and relaxed before he a spirit could possess him too .

"Looks like it's not a bad idea to pair your son and that young girl Anna . " Hearing what her mother just said to her father, Lannie felt glad that her mother is now agreeing that Anna and Kyle should pair up together .

Inside Kyle's room, Kyle was staring at the empty small plate in front of him completely lost in his thoughts . Ever since he heard that he missed Anna's presence earlier and to the end when Erik wanted to have some of Anna's handmade cake he felt something in his chest that he can't answer right away .

What has gotten into him? This is the first time that he can't answer his own question in mind . Now, he is even starting to wonder if Anna put something on the cake that makes him feel like this . This is such an uncomfortable feeling he had in his chest and he didn't like it one bit .

When he first met Anna at her grandfather's birthday party she was an interesting girl in his perspective . She was full of mystery and she was radiating with an aura full of confidence but that confidence suddenly dissipated when she was in front of those two old men . He wonders why did she lose her confidence at that moment, he knows that Anna the ability to take those old men down without breaking a sweat but why did she suddenly lose her confidence against them?

On that moment at that day of the event, he hated the fact she lost her confidence and he also got the feeling that he should be the one helping her get her confidence back when she lost that confidence that he likes when he first met her .

Such a dilemma that he is now is something he had to deal very carefully himself .
