490 Revenge 451: Mafia Mission

Ever since she got herself involved with the Coleman family, Marcus always tells me Mary about how great every member of the Coleman family. He even said that they were all-merciful and have every one of them achieved something and is recognized by it.

After the cross-reference a.s.signment, she sure is convinced by Marcus' words.

Her husband's great-grandfather made a name for himself alright. And because of what he did, Mary and the rest now know why they have so many enemies lurking around in the dark to crush them.

"I heard from my grandfather that his father is quite a nutcase back in the day. But I have never thought that it would be like this." For all the enemies that have been trying to kill him, he blames all that to his great-grandfather.

They wouldn't have many enemies lurking around if that person didn't go wild in the first place.

"Well, I guess your grandfather was trying to at least not to ruin that person's image entirely to you."

'I guess not everyone in this great family can be as good as it is today.' Mary inwardly said.

"Please. Even without all the details of what he did. I never really liked my great-grandfather from the start." Even though he never met the guy, he never once has taken any interest in his great-grandfather's life back in the day. In fact, after he learned what kind of a person his great-grandfather is, he immediately dislikes the guy.

"Which mafia family should we start investigating?" Mary said with a faint smile. It's not the right time to get excited, but it has been way too long since the last time she went into action.

"In my opinion, I think the first mafia family we should look into is the one who your great-grandfather made a complete mess out of," Alfonso suggested as he pa.s.ses the paper he had on his hand to Arion.

Arion took a look at it and is convinced that Alfonso's suggestion might be the best course of action at the moment. And who knows, their target might actually be that mafia family.

"I agree with Alfonso." He said, then he puts down the paper. "What do you guys think?"

He may have the highest authority on making these kinds of decisions, but it's best to have every member of the board have their opinion on the matter.

"Well, I have no problem. Besides, all of the important members of this mafia group are residing in this country. I think I might want to announce to the public that they have been taken down." Zack said with a smile on his face.

"Excuse you? Have you forgotten that we're a part of the of an organization that is not like to be heard of by the public you spoke of." Alfonso can't believe that Zack actually made such a suggestion.

"I'm not saying that we have to announce our organization's name on the top of that. I'm gonna use my t.i.tle as the general of the military to announce their downfall."

"So you're saying that you will take all the credit, is that it?" Mike frowned at the thought that Zack will be taking all of the credit for taking down that mafia family. "Just because you have that 'general' t.i.tle of yours as a cover, that does not mean that you get to have all the credit and be the 'hero' once again, pal."

The last time such a thing happened, it was because Mary made that as cover to hide what really happened on that day. Mike is certain that he won't let such a thing happen again. 'It's unfair for everybody if he gets all the credit again.'

"Hey, I'm not gonna take all the credit. Besides, I didn't even like what Mary did the last time. This time, I want everyone to have the credit." Last time, he actually felt guilty whenever he remembers what happened.

"Although I appreciate the thought you put into it, I just don't think anything will work out well. We might as well keep forge what really happened, like, some kind of a mafia war happened." Like Alfonso said before, it's not a good idea to announce to the public what they are about to do because of the organization that they are in.

Listening to the conversation they are having, Arion is getting annoyed by it at every second that pa.s.ses by. "Why are we even talking about this? None of these doesn't even concern our original problem."

Talking about this pointless matter instead of planning their move is wasting everyone's time.

"But..."

"No buts, Zack," Mary said, then she sighed. "We will do nothing after we do what we have to do. The only thing that we have to make sure of is that there will be no trace that can lead to any of us."

If they do what Zack wanted, it's only going to waste so much of their resources and time. Sometimes, she wonders if Zack has an idea of what is their current situation before saying a word out of that mouth of his.

"We will talk about the details later on. For now, I have to go and get myself for my very important schedule today." Just the thought of him wearing suits again is making him feel weird. It has been such a long time since he last wore one.

"By important, what do you mean by that?" Mike asked as he smiled teasingly. He already knew what Arion is talking about, but teasing Arion is fun for him.

"Shut it, Mike. Do you think making an appearance in front of the public again is fun for me? It is not. Not even a little bit." Ever since he was little, Arion already loathed public appearances. And he even wished that there shouldn't be such a thing. "Mary, can't you just find someone who looks like me? I really don't want to face all those people."

Hearing that, Alfonso stared at Arion as if he's some crazy person. "Are you being serious right now, Arion?"

There is no way that there is someone else who looks exactly like Arion or even close to his looks. And if there is one, Alfonso would like to meet that person.

"Don't even bother to ask that, Alfonso." Mary sighed. Arion has been asking her to look for someone who looks like him. She did try to do that, but there was no one who is close enough to say that person and her husband are looked-alike. "And Arion, please stop asking for something impossible to find. If you don't make an appearance it will only cause us more headache than what it is now."

Mary doesn't care if Arion shows up for less than thirty minutes. All she wants from him is to make a statement and answer some questions and that's it. After that, she'll let their employees handle everything else.

"Fine," Arion replied in a devastated tone. He doesn't want to do it, but he doesn't have much of a choice, now does he?

Before Mary and her husband leave, she reminded her friends, "I don't care which one of you will do it next, but someone will have to volunteer on taking over train the kids. Leonardo will be coming on this mafia mission."

She knows it has been a while since the last time her friends went on a mission, and they are itching to do some action, but one of them will have to pa.s.s on this next mission of theirs.

After saying that she and her husband immediately left. They didn't even give them a chance to speak their opinion.

"Are you sure it's wise to leave them like that? You do know that they're going to argue on who will be left behind, right?" In all honesty, Arion would like to do it himself, but the kids are not ready for him yet. When it comes to training, he is harsh and most likely the kids won't even last a day with him.

"All of them are adults, they know how to come into an understanding. There is no need for you to worry about them. What you should worry about is what will you say at the conference today." Mary knows it all too well that her husband didn't even bother to prepare his speech today, and she is greatly annoyed by it because there is a chance that she will be making one for him.

"Uhh... I'll just say whatever that comes into my mind." Arion is now acting cute in front of his wife because he can tell that his wife is getting irritated by him.

Mary stared at him, but her eyes are void of emotion. She has no idea how should she deal with her husband. 'What was the reason I married this man?'
