'This might be fun.' She inwardly said.

"Grandmother, this is my friend, Aaron." Nathalia introduces Aaron to her grandmother nervously. Her grandmother is a nice person, but her grandmother has never been the type to like strangers right away. So there is a possibility that her grandmother might treat Aaron coldly.

"Is that so?" Nathalia's grandmother stares at Aaron's face, and Aaron felt slightly uncomfortable. In this kind of situation he would have said something right about now, but since this is Nathalia's grandmother, he no other choice but to hold the words that he wants to say back. "That eyes of yours reminded me of someone that really annoys me back in my younger days." She added.

What she means by this is that Aaron reminded her of Marcus, the person who keeps on ordering her around back in her younger days.

"S-Someone?" Since Nathalia's grandfather and his grandfather knows each other, Aaron got a feeling that she and his grandfather know each other as well. 'If she knows that I'm related to Marcus Coleman will she get annoyed by me too?' Aaron inwardly asks himself.

"Are you talking about Marcus Coleman, Mother?" Crona asks innocently, and Aaron inwardly cursed. He would like to avoid talking about his grandfather, and he is sure that Crona noticed that. And yet, she is doing this on purpose.

"Yes. How did you know?"

"I know because you told me some of your younger days stories, and Marcus is related to this handsome young man." Even if there is some slight bad blood between Marcus Coleman and her mother-in-law, her mother-in-law is not the type of person who would hate Marcus' descendants.

With a slightly surprised look on her face, Nathalia's grandmother once again glances at Aaron, "Ah. I can see the similarities between Arion and this young one." Although she is annoyed by Marcus, she does like Arion.

Arion is such a sweet talker when he was little and it was a nice experience watching him grow up. When she heard that Arion died, she was also sad. And now she is made because all these years Arion was pretending to be dead.

However, her son explained things to her. She would like to smack Arion's head for choosing that path, but she refrained herself. She is now old and doesn't want to waste her energy on Arion. The energy that she has left, all she wants to do with that is to spend it with her family.

She chuckled when she noticed the nervousness in Aaron, "Young man, don't worry. I won't take out my irritation of your grandfather to you. Besides, that is just how between me and your grandfather, bickering all the time." 

Aaron was relieved and he wasn't able to hide that expression of his, because of that he is somewhat embarra.s.sed. 'I hate to admit it, but this side of me is way too similar to my father.'

Nathalia's grandmother looks around, and when there is no face or shadow of her son, she immediately said, "So, is there something going on between you and my granddaughter?" 

She knows that having this kind of conversation in front of her son is not the best idea. And she is grateful that she ordered him to buy her something good to eat.

Hearing that question, Nathalia's face brightens. She is so red that it made both her grandmother and mother amazed at how red she is. 

Her grandmother chuckled, then she said to Crona, "She reminds me of the time when your husband told you something out of the blue, then you turned bright red just like your daughter." 

The scene that she was talking about was the time when Crona and Leonardo where still dating. Leonardo is not the type to say cheesy lines, but when he does is makes Crona blush red. The way Nathalia is now is similar to Crona at that time.

Aaron smiled. He likes the atmosphere that is currently happening now. It makes him miss his family. Because of the problem his family is currently facing now, they never had the chance to bond with each other, and when they do, it's only for a short amount of time. It makes him mad at the people who are picking a fight with his family.

"Well, I am trying to win her," Aaron said honestly, and that surprised Nathalia. She was expecting him to say the opposite of that, but him saying that is not a bad feeling. "But I can't do that if uncle Leo does not approve of it."

Aaron is confident that even without Leonardo's blessing he can still win Nathalia's heart. But the problem is that he doesn't want Nathalia to get stuck between him and her father. To Nathalia, her father is like a hero to her and because of that, he doesn't want to put her in a tough spot.

Now, Aaron understands why Kyle was working way too hard just to please him and his family for the sake of having a blessing to be Anna's long time partner. 'I respect you now, Kyle.' He inwardly said.

"Haha! I see. You want the father's approval, huh?" People who do these types of things do make Nathalia's grandmother happy. She is now starting to take a liking on this young man in front of her. "But you do know that it's a hard challenge to overcome, right? After all, Nathalia is the only child of the Vendallin family, she's the most precious gem."

It seems to Aaron that Nathalia's grandmother is trying to scare him off on the fact that there will be a lot of walls that he needed to overcome, and it is only going to tire him out in the end. But unfortunately for her, he is not going to back down just because of that.

He is a Coleman, and every Colemans in his family thrives to overcome any challenges that are going to get in their way. If he stops now because of what Nathalia's grandmother said to him, then he is not a Coleman and it is better for him to leave than put more shame in his family.

"Madam, since you know that Marcus Coleman and I are related to each other, I'm sure that you know that kind of statement is not going to work on me." He said with a serious expression on his face. 

That gleam in his eyes sparked her interest in Aaron more. She wants to see how serious he is. She wants to know what kind of advances will he make just to make sure that he will get to his goal. "Is that so, then proved it to me. Right here, right now." She said in a challenging tone.

Just as she said that Leonardo's timing in entering the room made things more interesting for all the people inside. Leonardo glances at them, then a big question mark popped in his mind. 'What happened here?'

Aaron's nervousness from before disappeared and is now replaced by such determination and such courage. Nathalia who noticed that change is now feeling nervous about what Aaron is about to do. As for Crona and her mother-in-law, they both are expectant of what is going to happen.

"What is going on here? Why are you all making such faces?" Leonardo asks as he puts down the food his mother told him to buy. He was only gone for half an hour, and so much has already happened?

From the looks of it, it seems like they were talking about something serious. And to his surprised, his mother is conversing with Aaron who is a stranger to her. 'She would normally not talk to strangers, so why is she talking to him?'

"Uncle Leo," Aaron started. With just that, Nathalia was about to stop Aaron from speaking further, but her mother stopped her. "I want to have your permission to court your daughter." He said straightforwardly, and that made Leonardo almost tripped.

Leonardo glances at Aaron with a frown. "Huh? Can you repeat that again? I think I just misheard you," He said with a terrifying tone. His hearing is good and he heard it clearly, but there is a part him that wishes that he misheard what he said. And hopefully, Aaron would say that he was only joking.

"I know that you heard me loud and clear, but since you said that, I will gladly repeat what I just said to you." Aaron looks so confident to the point that it's making Leonardo feel irritated. "I want to have your permission to court your daughter."
