"Catherine, I don't wanna say this, but are you sure that you should be doing this?" Allisa asked in a nervous tone. After hearing that plan Catherine has for Alfonso, Allisa's heart raced fast. She got a feeling that this plan is going to backfire on Catherine and she will get herself involved in the casualties. 

"Allisa, what kind of a stupid question is that. Yes. I am sure that I want to do this. I deserve this and Alfonso doesn't. And if you don't want to ask aa stupid question, then don't ask. Geez!" Above all the things that she told Allisa, there is one thing that Catherine forgot to tell, and that is, if her plan fails, the one who will be getting all the blame is Allisa.

Allisa is not yet a popular model, and there will be no one who will miss her if she suddenly disappears from the modeling world.

Allisa had her mouth shut immediately. Allisa wanted to say to Catherine that this plan is not gonna work on Alfonso.

The way Alfonso was yesterday, Allisa can tell that Alfonso is a smart man. He can easily find a way to get himself out of the picture and have someone else take that horrible spot.

While preparing for the nearing start of the show, someone suddenly appeared behind them and said, "Miss Rider! There you are."

Catherine turned around and saw a very familiar face. Catherine's angered expression suddenly turned into a happy one. "Sir Reid! It's very nice to see you here! How are you?"

This man in front of her is the man Catherine has idolized for a very long time, and she always has dreamed of standing on the same level as him. But since Alfonso is standing in her way, she can't achieve that dream of hers.

That is why hopefully today will be the day she will have that next step of her dreams.

"I am doing fine," Reid said with a smile, then his eyes look around the place. It is as if he is searching for someone. "Say, have you seen Alfonso anywhere? I have not seen him no matter where I search."

The smile on Catherine's face almost broke when she heard the name she did not want to hear from Reid's mouth. With a heavy heart, Catherine responded, "No. I have not yet seen him. Maybe he's gonna come late."

"Come late? Well, he does like to do that. Always coming late. Heh. When will that guy change." Reid is also one of the top famous designers in the world, but he didn't come to this event to partic.i.p.ate in winning the award instead, he came to watch.

To be more precise, he came to see what kind of designs did Alfonso came up with this year. Unknown to anyone, Reid is a big fan of Alfonso's work. And whenever he sees Alfonso's new designs he is always in awe at its beauty.

Catherine awkwardly laughs when heard that from Reid. "Well, if I see Alfonso, I'll tell him that you were looking for him." Although she is saying this, she will, of course, not tell Alfonso that Reid was searching for him. She will do whatever is necessary for Alfonso and her idol to not meet each other. She hates seeing them talking.

"You do that for me? Thanks!" Reid smiled at her, then he bid his goodbye, saying that he is needed for an interview.

It was a short conversation, but Catherine was happy. 'Soon, I can spend more time with him.' She inwardly declared to herself.

While watching and listening to the conversation between Catherine and Reid, Allisa got a hunch that Catherine has a secret crush on Reid, but Reid, on the other hand, doesn't see Catherine that day. Though she feels bad for Catherine for having a one-sided crush on a person, Allisa didn't say a word.

She also got another hunch, she thinks that Catherine is doing all of this ridiculous plan because of the Reid. Knowing that the person Reid was searching for was Alfonso and not Catherine, she is sure that Catherine is jealous of that fact.

'All of this is because of her jealously? I can't believe this.' It might be true that Catherine is also doing this because she deserves that award, but the number one reason is probably because of jealousy. 

With these kinds of thoughts running into her mind, Allisa suddenly got a feeling that everything did was all for nothing.

While everyone is busy, the backstage door suddenly opened, and the person who came in is none other than Alfonso alongside Anna, Kyle, and Alexandre on his arms. Unlike yesterday's ruckus, the talk about the baby in Alfonso's came into an uproar.

They heard about the rumors that happened yesterday, but they did not think that it was all true. Seeing that Alfonso is showing his baby to everyone around him, it seems to them that Alfonso is ready to share his private life.

They want to say a word, but they do not dare because of Alfonso's influence. All they can do now is stare at Alfonso in bewilderment.

"Walk faster, you two. It's because of the two of you we are thirty minutes behind schedule." Alfonso angrily told Anna and Kyle.

Alfonso is sure that he told Anna and Kyle that they should go to bed early, but obviously, that is not the case. They went to bed late. He wants to interrogate them on what they did last night, but he got no time for that.

For now, all he can do is prepare Anna and Kyle in their clothing faster and everything should be right on track.

Once they arrived at where the other models are, Alfonso is relieved that his other models are ready. "Sir, according to what you said earlier, I made sure that your models are ready to go for the show."

Alfonso is so thankful that the a.s.sistant that he has now is so efficient just like Alexandre's mother. If it weren't for this a.s.sistant, he might go crazy because of the hectic schedule.

"You two, what are you standing there for? Get your a.s.ses over there and have yourselves ready!" Alfonso's work mode is on, and the surprised Anna. She never really expected to be treated this way by him, but she's not upset about that. For her, it's nice to experience different treatment from him.

It makes her feels like he doesn't see her as his little NaNa anymore.

Without saying anything else, Anna and Kyle went and did what Alfonso said to them. In every corner that Anna sees, there are always people working on the things they are told to do. People who do the models' make-up, people who make sure the clothes are correct, people who make sure the lighting on the stage is not going to malfunction, and there is a lot of stuff that is going on, and that really amazes Anna.

While is getting her make-up done, in the corner of her eyes, she saw Alfonso. Though Alfonso looks so strict while giving out orders to other people, the baby on his arm makes him look less strict. She even noticed that people who were talking to Alfonso would stare at him in bewilderment.

"He doesn't look like the 'King' if he keeps carrying his son like that." Anna was slightly startled when she heard May's voice besides. She was so focused on observing Alfonso that she didn't notice her coming near her. "In my point, it seems like people here are not taking him seriously today," May added, then she chuckled.

Seeing the glow in May's face while she is talking about Alfonso, Anna suddenly blurted out, "You really like my uncle Alfonso, huh." 

When she realized that she said that, Anna wanted to smack her mouth. She didn't need to say that out loud. Things have already been awkward for them since Anna is her sister's student, and yet she had to have blurted out those words.

Noticing that panic in Anna's eyes, May's eyes soften.

Anna is such a nice girl, and her sister is so lucky to have a student like her. She wanted to talk about her sister with Anna, but she can't bring herself to do ask the question. And because of that, she can't help but mock herself.

"Yes. I do. But it's one-side, there is nothing I can do about it." She said in a bitter tone. "You know, when I found out that he and my sister were going out back then, I was shocked and broken at that time. I didn't expect that at all. I think because of that, things between me and my sister became so awkward."

Hearing all that, Anna did not know what to say. She would like to say something, but if she could think of something to say, she thinks that it might things more awkward than before. With her inner conflict, Anna complained inwardly. 'Why am I surrounded by these kinds of people? They all have troubles that I don't know what to say.'
