442 Revenge 443: The Day They Me

"It went well, Nathalia's father was there and he gave Aaron a warning." Although she was having fun teasing her brother about Leonardo's sudden appearance earlier, Anna was shocked and was slightly worried about her brother. And she did not expect the outcome of that conversation would turn out to be good.

"Nathalia's father was there? What a coincidence is that, and to think that it went well." Lannie has never met Nathalia's father, so she has no idea what kind of a person he is. But according to the articles that she accidentally reads about him is that Leonardo is a loving husband and father to his family.

Since that Nathalia is the only child of Leonardo, Lannie can tell that Nathalia is spoiled by her father and is being protected at all times. Lannie can only imagine what kind of irritation Nathalia has when she being spoiled too much.

"I was expecting uncle Leonardo to at least one or two bones on my brother's body, but obviously, that did not happen," Anna said nonchalantly.

Lannie stared at Anna in disbelief, she can't believe she just heard that from Anna who loves her brother way too much. "Shouldn't you not be saying that?"

"I can't help it," Anna said with a smile.

Anna glanced at the little guy next to Lannie, and she immediately made her way towards him, then showered him with her kisses. "It's already late, Alexandre should be in by now. Why is he still awake."

She would understand why Lannie is still awake, but for a baby like Alexandre, he needs his sleep, and staying up this late is not good for him.

"I tried to put him to sleep, but he is way too energetic for me. Even uncle Alfonso is having a hard time putting him to sleep." For almost an hour, Lannie and Alfonso tried their to put Alexandre to sleep, but no matter what they do, they just can't put him to sleep.

Hearing that Anna cuddled Alexandre, and then talks using her baby talk, "What did our little baby do today, hmm? Why are you so energetic?" Alexandre giggled at the way Anna talked to him. From the little guy's understanding, he thinks that Anna is playing with him.

"What's this? You're being way too playful now, aren't you?" Lannie said as she takes Alexandre away from Anna's arms, then she tickled him. If only it were possible, Lannie would like for Alexandre to never grow up because once Alexandre is at a certain age, this cute little Alexandre in front of them is not going to be the same anymore.

Anna looks around to find her uncle Alfonso, but she couldn't find even a single trace of his shadow. "Where is uncle Alfonso?" She asked.

"He went outside, at the back. I think he went out to call someone and he looks so irritated though. I wonder what happened." Before Alfonso went outside to make a call, Lannie saw that Alfonso was reading an email. Since the email looks like a business-related email, Lannie didn't bother to ask.

However, when her uncle Alfonso suddenly stood up and told her to watch Alexandre for a little bit, Lannie got curious. Her uncle Alfonso seems to be not in a good mood because of that certain email.

Anna went back to her memories from her past life, but she couldn't find anything that is related to this day. So she wonders if there is something that she is missing.

Anna's train of thoughts suddenly stopped when she heard Alfonso's voice. "Anna you're here already." Alfonso looks so vibrantly happy, and she's having a hard time believing that Lannie's words were true. "I heard from Lannie, so what happened to your brother? Did your mother agree to it?"

"If I wasn't there, I'm sure that Aaron wouldn't get Mom's and uncle Leonardo's permission," Anna told Alfonso everything that had happened, and Alfonso only laughed. How he wishes to see Leonardo's face when he was suspecting Aaron's intention.

"If your brother keeps this up, I'm sure that he will have a hard time getting Leonardo's blessing." Knowing Leonardo for so many years, Alfonso knows that Leonardo would like Aaron to be straightforward to him. Leonardo doesn't like the type of people who are not being honest with him.

"I told him that he should slowly tell uncle Leonardo about his intention towards Nathalia, but our father suddenly b.u.t.ts in our conversation and told my brother that he should never tell Leonardo or else, he is dead." From the way her father spoke at that time, it sounded so exaggerated, but at the same time, it is not hard to believe it.

"Well, I can understand why your father would say that. I mean, he just got back and Aaron is finally opening up to him, and to have Leonardo gunning behind Aaron, your father wouldn't like that." If the situation were different, Alfonso is sure that Arion will give a piece of advice to Aaron that he should tell the truth, but clearly, the situation is not different.

"What kind of a person is Leonardo Vendallin is, Uncle?" With all the talk about Nathalia's father, Lannie suddenly has the urge to ask a question about him.

"What kind of a person he is? Let's see, hmmm..." It's easy to describe Leonardo, but what Alfonso wants to say to his niece is the part of Leonardo that only he and his close friends know. "He's a loyal friend. He will never betray anyone, especially Anna's mother. And despite his character, he has a heart, a hard of a good man."

Lannie smile at the way her uncle Alfonso is describing the type of man Leonardo is. Her uncle Alfonso truly treasure the friends that he has, and she finds that very admirable.

"Uncle, how did my mother and uncle Leo meet each other?" The only information that Anna knows about those two is that they are best friends from way, way back. But what she does not know is how did they become friends.

"From what I heard, your mother and Leonardo met while your mother was on a mission. Leonardo was young and was in his rebellious phase, always gets himself into trouble. To be more specific, he loves to start a fight."

Anna heard that and showed her uncle Alfonso an expression that she doesn't believe a word that he is saying. "No way, uncle Leonardo likes to start a fight? I don't buy it."

"I don't too, but that what's I heard." Alfonso chuckled at the way Anna reacted. "Anyways, back to the story. Your mother was on a mission, and she was badly hurt at that time. Leonardo saw her bleeding on the alley, initially, he decided to ignore her and leave her to die, but unfortunately for him, Mary called him out, saying that he should take her to a nearby hospital. Of course, Leonardo declined to take her there, but as you know, your mother threatened the guy, and eventually, Leonardo gave in."

"My mother threatened him when she's in a bad shape? And he gave in? Whoah." Anna chuckled.

Alfonso also chuckled. He can only imagine the look on Leonardo's face when the badly hurt Mary threatened him. It must have been quite a threat.

"After making sure that your mother reached the hospital, Leonardo left, then after a few days later, Mary took the time to visit him." Knowing Mary, Alfonso can guess that Mary got curious about Leonardo at their first meeting that's why she went visit the guy.

"Then what happened?" Lannie asked.

"I don't really know the specifics, but a lot of things happened. And during those times, there was an accident, which I don't know the details, it made Leonardo and Mary closer than ever." Alfonso never really asked Mary or Leonardo what really happened in that accident because whenever he mentioned it to them, both of them become so stiff. So he thought that it was a sensitive topic and never mentioned it ever again. "If you want to know the whole story, ask your mother, Anna," Alfonso suggested.

"Do you really not know or you are not just willing to tell us the story because it's already later at night?" Lannie asked with a frown on her face. She understands if her uncle Alfonso is already tired, but she is just too curious. These kinds of stories are what she really likes, and she doesn't like it if she is isn't satisfied with the details she is given.

"I don't know the whole detail, and yes, it's already and the little guys that are in between you two is already asleep, meaning you two also need to sleep now." Without any further ado, Alfonso picks up his son and went to their beds, leaving Anna and Lannie all alone in the living room.
