Curious of what happened to her, Alfonso asked, "Anna, did something bad happened to you? You know that you can talk to me about anything, right?" When there is something that Anna can't say to her family, he would like Anna to share it with him so that he could help her. And with that, he considers it his job.

Anna paused for a minute, then she said, "Even if it is about Kyle, would you still like to listen to me?" Talking about her love life to adults like Alfonso is not something that Anna would like because she feels awkward about it. But her uncle Alfonso is different.

He is not like any other adult who would just give her advice that she should be careful because she is still too young or that there is no need for her to rush because there are a lot more things she needs to do. No. Alfonso is not like that.

Alfonso actually listens to her and talks to her. The advice that she's received from him helped her understand the other person's point of view.

This time, she wonders if Alfonso can help her understand Kyle's point of view.

"Sure. I have no problem with that." Alfonso replied immediately. As the matter of fact, Alfonso has been wondering what is the progress between his nephew and Anna, but he did not want to ask about it because he thinks that Anna won't tell, and as for Kyle, it's obvious that he won't get any answer. "So, what is going between you two now?"

"He won't ask me that stupid simple question." She understands that it takes so much courage to ask someone out, but after hearing Kyle declared that she is his girlfriend out in the public, Anna thought that Kyle already has enough courage to ask the question.

"What? You want him to question you? I don't get it." If Anna would have started from the very beginning, Alfonso would not have asked that question. There is a lot of ways to explain things, and yet Anna decided to complain about the main problem which he has no clue about.

Anna sighed before she explains everything from the very beginning. After she ended her story, Alfonso laughed and called her and Kyle 'adorable.' Anna is not even sure if she wants to accept that compliment from him.

Seeing that Anna is sulking, Alfonso stopped laughing and said, "Kyle might be afraid of the answer that you might say. I mean, that's a common fear that most suitors have when they want to ask that question or any other questions related to that." His nephew is human, and as a human, Kyle can feel fear even if it is out of his character.

Back when he was still not sure of which s.e.x is he interested in, he was afraid of the answer of the girl he was wooing before because he was not sure of what kind of an answer will he received.

"Then he said those words on the spur of the moment, is that it?" Anna refuses to believe that Kyle said those words just because he is in a situation that he is needed to say. She would not like that. It's making her feel like she is fake.

"Might be similar to that, but I can a.s.sure that it is not just about that, okay? Give him a little bit more of time, then who knows? He might be planning something extravagant." Knowing the affection Kyle has for Anna, Alfonso is sure that Kyle is planning something grand for Anna. Though he got this feeling that it's not gonna go well.

"Uncle, you already know me. I don't care if it is extravagant or simple. I just want him to be him." Anna is not gonna lie, it will an additional bonus of happiness if Kyle is planning something, but all she wants is him. Simple or extravagant as long as he is present, then there is nothing for her to worry about.

"And I know my nephew. He overthinks things." When it comes to school-like problems or business-like problems, Kyle can solve it right away. He won't overthink. But when it comes to relations.h.i.+ps, like family, friends, or even towards Anna, Kyle tends to overthink. 'It's funny to know that he is like that.'

"You're really not helping me here, Uncle," Anna commented with a pouty look plastered on her face. Then she resumed playing with Alexandre.

[The Next Day]

"You still haven't asked her yet? Kyle, you're so slow." Said the guy sitting on Kyle's left side.

"He has no guts!" Said the other guy on Kyle's right side. "If you don't do something about it, then don't blame me if I make a move. I mean, Anna is a catch you know. And I'm guessing that she and I can make a very good couple."

"How about you don't do something about it and find yourself a proper girl, huh, Zedrick?" Kyle spoke in a menacing tone.

Kyle has no cla.s.ses today and somehow, Zedrick got to know about that information and invited him to have a meetup. Kyle wanted to decline the offer, but Erik who also happens to have no cla.s.s for today dragged him out.

Now, here he is at a certain place feeling so irritated by his two friends who like to meddle in his affairs.

"Kyle, I don't a proper girl. Besides, all the girls that get attracted to me are only after my looks, my fame, and my money. I'm as lucky as you are with Anna." Zedrick hates to admit it, but sometimes he feels envious towards Kyle, especially now that Kyle has Anna.

For Zedrick, Anna is the rarest girl that he has ever met. It is just too bad for him because he can never have a girl like Anna. A girl who is not interested in him because of his looks, his fame, and his wealth, she's only interested in his because of his connection with Nathalia, Zen, Josh.

"I think it's just not about luck, Zedrick," Erik commented. "It's just... you don't know how to look. You accept a girl into your arms because they throw themselves at you. You have never tried to reject them." From the years that he has known Zedrick, Erik has never once seen Zedrick refusing a girl's request. And he bet that it's going to take years before Zedrick starts to reject girls.

With a frown plastered on his face, Zedrick stares at Erik, then he said, "You have no right to say that to me. You're just like me. You also accept every girl that throws themselves at you. No. Wait. You're not like me, you're worse than me. You already found a girl, but you chose not to acknowledge it because of some unreasonable thinking."

Zedrick feels no envy towards Erik because Erik already has his eyes set for someone, but he refuses to let his heart to go for it. If he is in Erik's shoes, Zedrick would not want to stop his heart from loving her.

Erik is his friend, but he can never have himself support Erik's decision on staying silent while watching the girl that he likes to be taken by someone else.

"Now, that is very mean of you to say." If it was not Zedrick who just said those words, Erik might have punched him in the face, but it's Zedrick. He can't do it. Zedrick is only saying this because Zedrick is scolding him for being a coward.

"Well, what can I say? I'm your friend, I have every right to be mean to you, especially when you are being stupid." Usually, it's Kyle's job to be mean with them, but right now, Kyle has his own problem and he has no intention of wanting to hear other people's problems. And since that is the case, Zedrick is willing to take that job temporarily.

Both Erik and Zedrick talk back and forth about Erik's stupidness while Kyle, on the other hand, was deep in his thoughts. He is still thinking of what kind of surprise he should throw at Anna. He doesn't want it to be too extravagant because Anna's would not like that, and he also doesn't want it to be too simple because Anna might think that he is not thinking about her enough.

"Kyle, can you please tell Zedrick to mind his own love life?" Erik asked in an irritated tone.

"I don't give a d.a.m.n about your love life. I have my own problems." Kyle said with a straight face.

"Really now? What if you know who that girl he is in love with? Will you care?" Zedrick spoke in a challenging tone, and Kyle only stared at him as if he is the dumbest person he has ever met.

"Idiots. I'm not stupid enough to not notice things. I know who's the person Erik is interested in." With just that, both Zedrick and Erik went silent.
