After hearing that, Kyle glared at his sister and said, "Lannie, don't talk nonsense. Grandfather is not that type of man who would do such a thing." Although he said that, Kyle still can't help but somehow believe that there is a possibility of that happening.

His grandfather is unpredictable. He didn't expect this to happen, and he is very thankful for his sister that she informed him about this 'unexpected' meeting between Anna and his grandfather.

At first, he didn't believe it, but after receiving several messages and missed calls from his sister, he got convinced and went directly to where Anna currently is.

"Seriously. My cafe is not a place for anyone to spy on my customers." A voice from behind startled Kyle and Lannie. They both turned around and saw the owner of that voice is Claire. "You two just can't help yourself, huh?"

Without asking who they are spying on, Claire already has a definite guess who it is. And she can't blame them for it because she is also curious about things that will go between Elijah and Anna. However, unlike them, she is only curious and not trying to eavesdrop.

"Aunt Claire, what are you talking about? We are customers. Is it not obvious that I'm having a date with my dear sister over here?" Since Kyle has no other excuse to say to Claire, Kyle started to act like an adoring big brother to Lannie. And without a doubt, Lannie crept out by it, but she still manages to keep her happy face on.

"You can make many excuses as you want, young Robertson, but you can't fool me." Claire has been living on earth for so many years. She already experienced a lot of things and met a lot of people. This excuse that Kyle spouting right now is not gonna fool her.

With that, Lannie moved a bit farther away from her brother, then she gave him a glare. "Brother, you're smart, but you can't even fool Aunt Claire."

"You are in no position to tell me that. You don't even have an excuse yourself." Kyle also glared back at his sister. Lannie is not the only one who knows how to glare around here.

"Alright, alright, back it off, you two." This kind of sibling quarrel can sure make Claire reminisce back when Mary and Johan are still so close. Those two were like siblings to each other, they quarrel like siblings, and they have fun like siblings, but all those things didn't last long.

It is a sad story, but there is nothing Claire can do about it. All she can do now is continue living for the future ahead, and hope for the best.

"If you guys are 'customers' here, then order something. This place is not where you two can freely sit around and spy on other people." Claire added as she handover the menu to both Lannie and Kyle.

Back on Anna and Elijah's side, the awkwardness between them is now slowly fading away. They both are starting to get to know each other, and who would have thought that there are a few things that they both have in common. Just like Anna, Elijah also a big fan of motorbikes and exquisite paintings.

"I would have never thought that I will be talking to you like this, Anna." Unlike his business-like talk with his grandson and cheerful-like talk with his granddaughter, his conversation with Anna is quite relaxing and new.

He noticed a few things about Anna. She is the type to be careful of every word that she's going to say, and if she doesn't know what else to say, she smoothly changes the topic and that really impressed Elijah.

"I think so too Granda Elijah. At first, I thought that you called me here to tell me that I should stay away from Kyle." Even up until now, Anna is still expecting that possibility.

"Now, now. You're making me look like a bad person over here." Elijah chuckled at the comment Anna just made. "As a matter of fact, I think I would like you to be with my grandson rather than that other girl." 

By 'other girl' Elijah means is Kyle childhood friend, and Anna is quick to catch up on that. She has little bits of information about her, and yet all the people that know her don't seem to like her. 'Is she really that bad?' Anna inwardly asked.

"What do you mean by that, Grandpa Elijah?" Since Kyle was once taking a liking to that girl, Anna originally thought that Elijah would have like that girl.

"She's not the same little that I know of, and I don't plan to get to know her. She's become toxic." It sounded rude and mean of Elijah to say, however, he does not care. From the moment, Veronica Lace and her father visited that Robertson household, Elijah noticed that she changed greatly, and it is not a good one.

"It seems like I don't have to worry about her?" Anna is not even sure if she should be worried or not. It's about that girl trying to steal Kyle from her, it's about the bad feeling she's been having about her.

"She is not worthy of your worry." Veronica is the daughter of one of the famous businessman in the country, and having Veronica becoming a Robertson would be a big help to exceed the Robertson family's achievements, but it is not worth it in Elijah's opinion.

The Coleman is much more worthy, not because the Coleman family's business is one of the best, it's because the intention is not business. And the result of everything is going to be Kyle and Anna's happiness, there is nothing more that Elijah can wish for.

Besides, his late wife told him that she wants their grandchildren to marry out of love, not out of business benefits.

Anna was about to reply, but in the corner of her eyes, she noticed a group of people she did not expect to see at this moment. "Is that Kyle and Lannie?" She asked. It's clear that she sees Kyle and Lannie, but there is another person with them, and it seems like Lannie is arguing with that person.

Hearing that, Elijah turned around and saw his grandchildren. To his surprised, he saw his granddaughter arguing with a family person. "What are they doing?"

Without a word, Elijah stood up and started to walk towards his nosy grandchildren, and Anna only followed him from behind.

When they arrived at the table where Lannie and Kyle are in, Elijah's angry voice is heard. "What is the meaning of this ruckus you three are making?"

"Grandpa Elijah! Lannie is being mean to me! I didn't do anything to her, and yet she's..." The one who spoke just now is a girl that Anna is a bit familiar with in her past life. And she could not help but laugh inwardly when she realizes who that girl is.

'What kind of luck is this?'

"Me?! You're trying to blame me? Excuse you! I'm only trying to get out of  this table because I don't want you to get near my brother." If she could, Lannie would love to slap her in the face real hard so that there will be no more flies flying around her brother.

"Lannie, the last time I saw you, you were an angel. I can't believe you turned out to be like this. Kyle! Do something about your sister. She's being mean to me." Hearing that, Anna's left brow rose up.

This very girl that is talking at this moment is Veronica Lace, the girl that everyone is talking about, Kyle's childhood sweetheart. Anna admits that Veronica is pretty, but that is about it. She never would have thought that Veronica is such a cry baby in front of Kyle.

Instead of obliging to Veronica's wishes, Kyle stood up and stand right in front of Anna. He did not want Anna to see him together with Veronica, he does not want to misunderstand anything about him and Veronica.

"Before you say anything, I'm sorry I'm spying on you," Kyle said as she smiled sweetly to Anna.

That gentle gesture that Kyle is showing to Anna is making Veronica's jaw drop. From what she heard after she left, Kyle has turned cold to everyone and that he hates girls getting near him. With the thought that she is the cause of Kyle's change, Veronica is happy and she is confident that she is the only one that Kyle will treat gently and sweetly.

"Heh. Do you really think you're my brother's special someone? Dream on!" Lannie said in a low voice that only Veronica can hear.
