418 Revenge 419: She Might Faint From Her Embarassmen

"Lannie, if you are in a rush to go home, then go home by yourself. Don't drag Anna along with you." Truthfully said, Kyle has to go and meet up with his father, however, when he saw Anna, he decided to let his father wait for a bit more.

He didn't even know how long has it been, and wouldn't care much about it if his father has been waiting for him for a while now.

"Brother, my business with Anna has nothing to do with you. And as far as I remember, you have some business with our father minutes ago. I don't think you should be here spending too much time with Anna." Knowing her brother, Lannie is sure that Kyle didn't even let Anna know that he has an appointment.

"You have an appointment with your father? Why did you not say anything at all?" Anna is now feeling guilty that she took most of Kyle's time, "You should go now." She said. She did not want Kyle's father to think that she's getting in the way of Kyle's future.

Kyle knew exactly what Anna is feeling right now, and he could not help but glare at his meddling sister. Lannie knew that Anna would say that and he doesn't have the guts to say object Anna's words.

Seeing that glare, Lannie smirked at him and that smirk displeases him even more.

"My father can wait. Besides, my appointment with him is not as important as you think it is." Truthfully, it is important, however, he did not want to discuss it with his father because the discussion they are going to have included an unnecessary person.

He just told Anna that he wouldn't be paying much attention to that person and he intends to do it. The only he could think of is that if he makes his father runs out of patience with him, there might be a chance that his father will let someone else do it.

"Not important, you say?" This time, Lannie is going to fight her brother. She and Anna have a lot of things to discuss with their uncle Alfonso, and she is not gonna let her brother get in their way. "Last night, from what I heard, our father wants you to take the lead of this 'important project', how can you say that it's not important?"

Lannie knows that her brother is trying to avoid being involved with that certain person's family, but he has to take this project despite his negative feelings about it. If this project results in a very good result, her brother's standing in other people's point of view will be great.

There will be no one who will think that he worked hard to get to where he is now and that he did not take advantage of his existence as Stan Robertson's son.

"Lannie-"

Kyle was cut off by Anna, and he could only grit his teeth at his irritation. "Kyle, I don't know why you are being stubborn like this, but I think it's better that you take on this project. I don't want anyone to say bad things about you."

Sensing Anna's sincerity, Kyle can only sigh. He truly can't say no whenever Anna is like this. He truly hopes that he can just have Anna by his side every day so that he won't have to ever worry about or even miss her.

"Fine," Kyle said, but before he leaves, he whispered something to Anna, then he kisses her cheeks. "You better not let any random guys get near her, little sister," Kyle said his last words to his sister before leaving that cafe.

Lannie rolled her eyes in annoyance, then watched her brother leave. After that, she heard Aaron's voice, "Why are is your face is so red, Anna? Did you catch a cold or something?"

Lannie turned around to see Anna's face, and she couldn't help but feel amused at her brother. Her brother must have said something so outrageous to make  Anna have the kind of reaction. 'I wonder what my brother said to her.'

"I-I'm not sick! I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be fine." Anna hid her face by using both of her hands, but the didn't help much because Anna's ears are also completely red.

In these kinds of situations, Lannie would like to tease Anna, but she somehow feels bad if she does that. She somehow felt that Anna doesn't even have enough energy to talk back to her.

"She said she's fine, Aaron. Didn't you say that you have to meet up with one of your family members? Why don't you go ahead now?" Since Aaron is a hopeless case, he wouldn't be able to understand why Anna is like that. So it is better for him to leave now before makes an unnecessary comment to Anna.

"You're right. I almost forgot." In a hurry, Aaron took his things and Anna's and before leaving, he made one last comment to his sister. "I'm leaving now, sis. Keep yourself out of trouble!"

Lannie sat right next to Anna and stayed silent. She waited for a least five minutes before speaking again. "Have you calmed down? If you are, shall we go now? I'm sure that uncle Alfonso is waiting for us."

Lannie is eager to know what did her brother said to Anna but, despite her eagerness, she's willing to play nice for at least a few days have pa.s.sed by.

"Yes. We should leave now too." Anna is very thankful that Lannie is not teasing her right now because if she did, Anna would is sure that she might faint from her embarra.s.sment.

After half an hour ride to where Alfonso is, the girls finally arrived. And of course, Anna has finally calmed her heart down. However, she is still complaining inwardly at Kyle. He caught her off guard by what he said.

"There you girls are!" The moment Alfonso saw them, he quickly went towards them. "I've been waiting. What took you girls so long?" Things have way too hectic in his studio that he was starting to get worried that Anna and Lannie are not on time.

"Well, you can blame our lateness to my brother, Uncle. He wasted his and out time." Lannie did not even hesitate to put all the blame on her brother.

"It's not just Kyle's fault, Uncle. It's also mine. I lost track of time when I was with him. I'm sorry." Anna is not trying to defend Kyle, she is just telling Alfonso the truth. It was her and Kyle who is at fault. They were so engrossed in their own world that they have forgotten that they have places to go to.

Hearing that Alfonso sighed, "I know that you and Kyle are having this wonderful spark, but you two are still young. You two will have plenty of time to spend together in the future. So for now, don't focus on each other way too much."

Alfonso is happy that his nephew and his precious little NaNa are getting along and their love for each other is growing day by day, but he is somewhat worried because they are still young and they still have no idea what they want to do.

So, as much as possible, he wants to make them focus on other things too and understand what kind of path they want to take before taking things, in their relations.h.i.+p, further.

"Wow. Uncle, you almost sounded like you've experience young love yourself." Lannie suddenly said out loud. After realizing what she said she gave her uncle Alfonso an awkward smile. She didn't mean to her thoughts out loud.

"Are you saying that I don't know how to love others romantically when I was still young? Is that it?" Alfonso's mouth is twitching in annoyance. His niece sure loves to say things that he doesn't like to hear.

"N-No. That's not what I'm saying, Uncle. I-I mean, you've never really talked about your love life. So it made me think that you don't have much experience from it."  The only person that she knows that had a romantic relations.h.i.+p with her uncle Alfonso is Anna's teacher.

Out of all people in her life, she's only interested in her brother's and uncle Alfonso's love life. She wants to hear how things worked for them. But unfortunately, both of them have no intention of telling her anything, which is making her feel dissatisfied with them.

Alfonso stared at his niece with his left eyebrow rose up. He wants to say something to his niece's comment, but ultimately, he decided not to. "Anyways, let's see if the dresses fit you, Anna."

Not saying anything, Anna only nodded and followed her uncle Alfonso to where the new designs are. She's mesmerized by how gorgeous her uncle Alfonso's new clothing lines are.

"They are beautiful, Uncle," Lannie took the words Anna wanted to say, but it didn't matter because words are not enough to describe the beauty of these clothing.

"I'm glad you two see it that way." Alfonso smiled.
