383 Revenge 384: Revealing The Truth Iv

"I would have done it if your grandfather trusted me more." Marietta just could not understand why would James let others do his dirty work when he can approach his father without any problem.

James didn't respond. Truthfully, the reason why he ordered Juan to do his bidding to put poison on his father's food is that he did not have the courage to do it himself. Despite the fact that he is angry at his father for hiding to the truth about his birth and not making him the heir, he still sees his father as the who raised him.

It may sound hypocritical of him, but deep inside he knows that he did not want his father to die directly by his own hands.

"Remember, James. Your father didn't tell you the truth about your birth. It was me and my wife who you owe the truth from. If we didn't tell you the truth, then your father would have kept your origin in silence." Rent reminded James without him or his wife, he will never be able to find out the truth about his birth. He wants James to feel obligated to pay back the truth that they told him.

The moment Marcus brought James into the Coleman family, many people were against it because James doesn't have the blood of a Coleman flowing in his vein. Despite what the family members are saying, Marcus stubbornly adopted James into the family with or without the people's consent.

Marcus also put a rule to everyone that no one is allowed to tell James the truth about his birth. He also said that he will be the one to tell James once the time is right. However, it seems like Marcus did not have the strength to do it, that's why Rent and his wife stepped in and started to manipulate James.

"Yes. I'm very thankful for both of you, but there is nothing we can do!" Just hearing of the fact that his father has no intention of telling him his origin makes his blood boils in anger. He has the right to know about his birth, and yet, his father chose to hide it from him.

He could not understand why would his father decided to keep things from him. During the time he is growing up under the care of his mother and father, he always felt that there is something he must know. Something that is needed to fill the void inside him.

When Rent and Marietta came and told him that he is an adopted child of Marcus, James didn't believe it. Since he was not willing to believe it, Rent brought James to the Old Mansion showed him the family tree of the Coleman family.

His little brother's name was written in it, but his name is nowhere to be found. Hesitating to believe that, Rent told him to have a DNA test with Marcus and that is what James did. When the result is out, James was having a breakdown.

At that time, he was filled with anger and sadness, and all he could think about is to make his father pay back all the lies he told him.

Noticing the little commotion that is happening on James' side, Marcus already got the feeling that his son is one of those traitors or worst might be the ring leader of everything. He might not be able to hear anything that they are saying, but their actions speak louder. It seems like they are trying to finding a way out of their problem just in case twins' evidence points towards them.

"Well? Are the two of you gonna make us wait like this?" Martha asked. Without even told to, she is already guessing who is the traitor in the family, and her heart aches for her cousin who values family more than anything else.

"Of course, not, Elder Martha. In fact, everything is ready now." With a smile on his face, Aaron played the videotape on the screen.

James who turned his attention the TV screen is shocked to see a familiar face. "Isaiah!" He mumbled. He heard every bit of words coming out of Isaiah's mouth. His plans and everything was told out loud to the old man in front of Isaiah.

He can't believe that for the sake of money, Isaiah sold his plans just like that. 'Isaiah, are you stupid? Why didn't you noticed that the old man in front of you is only acting.' James' hands are now trembling in anger. While Rent and Marietta are relieved that Isaiah didn't mention any of their names.

"Not only that," Anna said as she hands out the folders that she prepared for her grandfather to see, and since she has extra copies with her, she also hands it to Martha. "Here are the previous activities that my dear uncle and his a.s.sociates are doing."

While Martha and Marcus are taking their time to read all the contents in the folder, the twins are observing them. Their attention is mostly on their grandfather, they are worried that something might happen to him because they are giving all information out all at once.

Aside from worrying about their grandfather's well being, they are also worried that Martha and their grandfather might not believe them. Thankfully, they prepared everything in advance just in case they refuse to believe them.

Though, they can't blame them for not believing their words because they are only teenagers who barely know about what the real world is exactly about. People like their grandfather and Martha are the types of people who are a hard one to deal with. They have a lot of experiences compared to them and it is worrisome if they come to doubt them.

"My head." Marcus puts a hand on his forehead. He felt a surge of pain after reading through the papers Anna gave to him. He wants to believe that what the papers say is not true. He wants to believe that his son did not betray the family he cares about.

However, no matter how much he wishes for all that, the facts that are presenting in front of him is something he can never avoid. Any minutes from now, he has to make a decision. A decision that will most likely break his heart.

"Father." Arion worriedly called out his father. He already expected this to happen, but he is still not sure what to do if his father suddenly has a heart attack.

If something bad happens to his father's health, the only person he could blame for that is his older brother. He has no idea what went wrong to make his older brother go into the wrong path. Their parents raised them with full of love.

If someone were to ask him what is it like growing up with his loving parents, he would say that he was envious of his older brother. James was loved deeply by their late mother, and Arion is jealous of that.

Their mother puts more attention on James. There was even a time that he would throw tantrum just to get his mother's attention away from James. As for their father, Arion could feel that he loves them both equally, and Arion was fine with that.

'What went wrong, brother?' Arion inwardly asked. If he could, he would like to knock some senses to his older brother's head and make him realize all the bad things he did to the family.

"T-this is all fake!" Marietta couldn't stand watching any longer decided to confront the twins with anger vivid on her eyes. "You two must be framing us! How dare you frame your uncle James when he's the one standing like a father to the both of you throughout the years your father went missing! How ungrateful."

Marietta held Anna's wrist so tightly that it turned red in an instant. Arion saw that and he is about to make Marietta regret doing that to his sister, but his sister held him back. It is as if she's saying that she can handle herself and there is no need for him to worry.

"Elder Marietta, neither grandfather or Elder Martha said uncle James' a.s.sociates out loud. Why are you reacting like this? This action of yours is telling us that you're guilty." What Anna just said is the truth, neither Marcus or Martha said any names that are inside the folder. With Martha's words and action, she is only admitting that she is one of those traitors.

Truthfully, the twins were expecting more from Marietta, they didn't expect her to act without thinking things through.

"And if you want further proof to prove your traitorous acts, then my brother and I will provide it for you," Anna added, then yanked her wrist away from Marietta's grip.
