Aaron and Anna are now having a staring contest, neither of them is backing down. Anna wants to know her brother's scheme, while Aaron doesn't want to reveal anything.

It's not even past five minutes, Aaron already gave up and ended up telling Anna everything he had in mind.

Truthfully, it's not only him, but Lannie is also involved. He and Lannie came up with a plan to make Kyle jealous. It seems like a daily routine for him and Lannie, whenever they see a chance, they would always take a picture and send it to Kyle.

"You guys are acting like a child. I can't believe this." To think that her brother and Lannie would have some kind of scheme towards Kyle. If they keep this up, they are going to torture Kyle. Besides, what her brother is doing is way out of his character.

The brother that she knows back in her past life is not like this. 'Did I missed this side of my brother back then?' Anna inwardly asked.

"I have to agree. Aaron, this kind of game that you and that young lady from the Robertsons are too much." Marcus spoke. He already knew that Aaron is still hesitant to recognize Kyle as his sister's suitor but to think that he'd come up with such a scheme it's just too much.

"Grandfather, it's just for fun. Besides, he deserves it." Lately, Aaron notices that he hasn't seen any trace of Kyle. He heard from his sister that is busy and it's very understandable, however, from his point of view, Kyle should have at least make some little effort to say that he is still chasing after his sister even though he is quite busy.

"You really are your father's son," Mary said. It is as if she is displeased by her son's childish scheme.

"What's the supposed to mean? You sound like you're disappointed." To Arion's understanding, it seems like his wife is disappointed that their son takes after him. To him, there is nothing to be disappointed about. Their son is perfect because he takes after him, additionally, their daughter also takes after his looks.

"I am." Without any hesitation, Mary replied with a straight face. What she meant is that except for the face, Aaron takes after his father's childishness. Mary is so thankful that her daughter is not like the father and son duo.

While the Coleman family is having a great time conversing with each other, the other people in the room couldn't take their eyes away from them. To them, it's rare to see the whole family all together in one room. In fact, none of them even have to privilege to have a private meeting with any of them.

"Wow. This is such a rare sight." Said on the female partic.i.p.ants.

"To think they would come here and watch a mere high school event." Even though Crystal High is well-known, it's not enough to make a well-known family like the Colemans attend such an event.

The only reason they could think of why the Colemans came to watch their school pageant event is because of Anna. That fact alone, they knew right away that Anna is being cherished by her family. And harming the little princess of the Coleman family is like a death wish.

"A mere school event? Please. For them, this is not just a mere school event. It's a very important event for them. For them, it's rare to see their princess in that kind of dress and on top of that, Anna doesn't really partic.i.p.ate in this kind of event." Leon who happened to overhear their conversation suddenly joined.

He is the first person to know that his boss is being overly excited to see Anna walking down on that stage. 'You guys don't know how many times I've heard him talk about that.'

"You sound like your close friends with the Coleman family." They know that Leon is friends with Anna and Aaron, however, what they do not know is that Leon is close with the Coleman family. He can come in and out of the Coleman mansion whenever he wants to.

Even Marcus Coleman, a hard man to please, considered, Leon Shui as one of them. Treating him like family. At first, when Leon heard about that, he shocked and felt like they might be pitying him because of his past or is it because he has worked under Arion for so many years that they trust him.

However. as the days go by, he now understands that is neither of those cases is the reason why he was considered to be part of their family. The real reason is that he sticks around the Colemans no matter what circ.u.mstances are. He helped them in a way he think that it was nothing to be remembered.

"Of course, I am." Leon proudly says. He wanted to say more, but his cla.s.s adviser suddenly appeared before him and spoke to him in an irritated tone.

"Leon, that is enough chit-chat. If you are done fixing yourself, then go and tell Anna that the event is going to start soon." The first time Leon met their new cla.s.s advisor, he actually thought that she will be the easy-going type. Unfortunately for him, that is not that case. When things are considered important, she will become super strict.

Without replying, Leon went the spot Anna is currently. As he is nearing them, he overheard the conversation between them, then a smirk appeared on his face. 'Scheming against Kyle, is it? This might be fun.'

Since he had never seen Kyle get jealous, he thinks that if Kyle were to come and watch the pageant even and sees Anna with him, Kyle will definitely get jealous. Leon wants to see what kind of face Kyle makes when he's jealous.

"Anna, let's go. They said that it's about to start." Although he and Anna are the last ones to take a walk on the stage, they still need to get themselves in position. The one who organizes all of this is quite the nagger. Even Anna is annoyed by that's person's mouth.

"Well then, we will be watching you two," Marcus said, but before he left with the rest of his family, he patted Leon's shoulder. And for some reason, that pat somehow made Leon feels secure.

"So, are you ready?" Leon asked.

"I have to or else, I might embarra.s.s myself, and that won't do me any good," Anna replied with a smile. Although she said that, she couldn't erase the feeling of uneasiness inside of her. In her past life, a lot of scheme is happening in this certain event, but so far, nothing is happening.

'I should have asked anyone what really happened at that time.' Since she was not the representative of her cla.s.s at that time, Anna didn't bother to ask what really happened. She also refused to listen to other people's gossip since all she cares about at that time is Rebecca.

"For how long am I have to wait?" A certain handsome young man, who's wearing a mask, asked the person next to him. It has only been thirty minutes since the event started, and he has yet to see the person he wanted to see walking on that stage.

"Anna and Leon are the last ones to walk. So, be patient, brother."

"Why are they the last ones to enter? Aren't you part of the student council, Lannie? Why didn't you do something about it?" He asked in an irritated tone. 

"I did. I made sure to save the best ones for the last." Just as Lannie predicted, the partic.i.p.ants in this event can only be called beautiful, and when Anna enters, the audience will certainly forget the faces of the other partic.i.p.ants.

With her position in the student council, she manages to alter the arrangements of the partic.i.p.ants. She made sure that Anna and Leon will be the last one to enter the stage. 'The last ones are better than the ones before them.' Lannie inwardly said.

Hearing that, Kyle took an understanding of why his sister did that. He agrees that the bests ones should be saved for the last because sometimes that kind of move is the best trump card to win a game.

In just a few moments later, Anna and Leon finally entered. As they walk, they seem to be turned into a whole new person. The way they handle themselves seems like they have done this kind of walk countless times.

Anna and Leon look so mesmerizing that most audience, couldn't take their eyes off of them. However, there is a certain someone who is mesmerized by Anna's beauty and at the same time, displeased by Leon who is sticking close to Anna.
