Chapter 300 - Revenge 301: He Was Not There

"Leon? What the heck?" Aaron thought that the appearance of his father is enough to surprise him for one day, but after seeing Leon and his uncle Leo together, he doesn't know what to say. Everything that is happening today is coming at him so unexpectedly.

"Hey, buddy! I know I have a lot of explaining to do, but for now, we have to leave this place quickly." Since Aaron is Arion's son, Leon is somewhat afraid of Aaron's temper. He can tell just by looking at Aaron's face that he is angry and has a lot of questions from him.

For him to not face Aaron's angry self right away, Leon decided to make an excuse that they should leave the place right away. His reasoning has a point, but anyone can tell that he is only making excuses.

"Don't buddy me. Don't think that I won't be interrogating you after this." Leon is one of those people who he trusted the most, and yet, Leon hid the truth from him and his sister about Arion.

"Aaron, it's not the time for you to get angry. Get rid of that emotion right now. One of the rules that your mother always tells you is that whenever you are in a mission, don't ever let you emotion gets the best of you." Leonardo reminded Aaron in a serious manner. He understands why Aaron is angry, but now is not the right time for him to get angry.

One of the Ricci family members is on its way towards their direction. And they should get going before that family member sees them. It's not the right time yet to face the Ricci Family.

Their main objective is to get Harrison out, and they have done it. They no longer have any reason to stay longer.

"Fine," Aaron replied with a grunt. Just like Anna, Aaron also idolizes Leonardo, and he would listen to every word that Leonardo would say. After all, Leonardo is more like a father to him than the person who is his real father.

Anna and the others are currently on their way towards the place where Claire is at. And throughout the whole ride, they are all silent. Not one single person said a single word. The atmosphere is really awkward and Leon does not appreciate the awkwardness around him.

As soon as they arrive at their destination, the first one to get off the vehicle is Leon. 'For the first time in my life, I never thought that silence can suffocate me like that.'

Leon expected a drama to happen between father and son, however, he did not get to see the drama he expected from them. Instead, he gets to experience the silence and awkwardness they have for each other. It's too suffocating that Leon vowed to himself not to ever get near them when they are together in the same room or place.

Just a few meters away from them, there was someone waiting for them and it was Claire. Between their distance and Claire's, one can tell that there is rage emitting from Claire. Harrison who saw his ever so lovely wife got scared and is unable to take a step forward.

"Uh... I, I don't think I can face her. She's too scary to look at." If someone asks him what he fears the most, he would say that he feared his wife the most.

"You know, saying that will only make things worse. So if I were, I dare not say that again especially when in front of her." Leonardo said. Base on his married life, Leonardo knows what to say to his wife. Every time he faces his wife, he always has to be careful in everything that he says.

After all, women sometimes can be too sensitive about some matters.

"Wow. You have grown, Leo. I am so proud of you." Only for a second, Harrison forgot his fear towards his wife after hearing what Leonardo just said. Before Leonardo met Crona, Leonardo is cold towards everyone and that made Harrison worry.

Harrison is so thankful for Crona for appearing in Leonardo's life. Leonardo may seem like he did not change, however, Harrison can tell that Leonardo changed big time. 'So many things have changed during my absence.' Harrison inwardly said.

"Don't start, old man. Just go and have a talk with Aunty Claire."

Heeding Leonardo's words, Harrison starts his way towards the woman who is still beautiful in his eyes despite the number of her age. "Hey, beautiful—"

Before Harrison could even finish his words, a hand went across his face. And since he didn't get enough food during his stay under Rolfe's watch, Harrison's body is weak and Claire's slap on his face was very painful more than he had imagined.

As Claire started to rant her anger on Harrison, Leonardo who is not so far from them was holding his phone, recording everything that happened especially the part when Claire slapped Harrison.

"Seriously, Leonardo? Do you really have to record that?" Arion asked in disbelief.

"Of course! I have to show this to Mary and the others." Since Mary and the others do not have the heart to slap or punch Harrison, Leonardo is sure that once they saw the video of Harrison got slapped by Claire, it would be enough to satisfy their anger.

Arion did not say a word, he doesn't have the energy to think about Leonardo's purpose for recording Harrison and Claire. He instead looks around to find his twins. Once he saw them, he quickly made his way towards them.

"Brother, I don't know what to say to him," Anna said.

"Anna, you don't have to say anything to him. In fact, you don't have to pay any attention to him and treat him like he's a ghost." Aaron wants his sister to not get close to the man who claims to be their father. He doesn't want him to be part of his sister's life.

Arion was not there when Anna needed a father to cry on. Arion was not there when he needed a father to encourage him. Arion was not there to make their mother happy. So what right does Arion has to claim that he is their father and that he is their mother's husband?

In Aaron's opinion, Arion does not have any rights. He didn't need his father before and he certainly doesn't need his father now. 'He should have stayed away.' Aaron inwardly said.

"Anna, Aaron, can we have a talk." A voice from behind was heard. Anna turned around to face him, and her grip from her brother's hand tightened.
