"Don't you think that what we're doing is wrong?" A woman with a big black summer hat with a scarf covers half of her face said in a guilty tone.

"Mary, if you think that what we're doing is wrong, then you should not have come along with me." Another woman said who is wearing big black sungla.s.ses and a big summer hat.

"Layla, you're the one who forced me out of my office, don't say it as if I came along with you willingly," Mary said to Layla with a frown on her face.

Mary was in the office working on some paperwork, but her work was interrupted by Layla who suddenly barged into her office without any notice. At first, Mary did not mind it since Layla has always been like that in the past, but when she heard Layla's reason for barging in, Mary frowns at her and said that she does not want to get involved.

Layla barged into her office to convince her to spy on their children who are going to have a date today. Mary was firm on not wanting to spy on her daughter's private affairs, but Layla took everything away from her hands and forced her out of the office.

Since Mary was not able to react quickly, she ended up in front of a cafe with Layla watching her daughter feeding Kyle. 

"Please, don't act as if you are not a bit curious about how things will go with my son and your daughter." Deep inside of her, Layla knows that what she and Mary doing right now is wrong, but her curiosity got the best of her.

She has never seen her son taken any interest in any girl, and as a mother who was once having a dilemma if her son was a broken shoe or not, she is quite excited about how things will turn out between Anna and her son.

'Please, don't mess things up, son, I really want to have grandchildren soon.' Layla inwardly prayed. Layla believes that Anna is the only one who can make his son's heart melt and there is no one else.

Mary sighed before replying back to Layla, "I have to admit that I am a bit curious, but what we are doing right now is wrong. There is a chance that those kids will get angry at us for spying at them."

Back in her younger days, when she and Arion just started dating and they went out for their first date. At first, Mary was in a very good mood, but when she noticed her master spying on them with a disguise, her mood had become bad.

She was really upset that her master was spying her and Arion from the beginning to the end. For one whole month, Mary did not talk to her master, and right now, Mary is afraid that if her daughter finds out that she is spying on her, Anna might also do the same thing she did to her master.

Anna is her precious princess, and Mary could endure a whole month of her daughter ignoring her. It will only break her heart.

If that really happens, there is a person she could blame, and that would be Kyle's mother.

"I know my son, and I am sure that he will get angry, but I'm curious as a cat, I just can't help it." Layla excitedly said, ignoring the obvious end if they were caught by Anna and Kyle.

As Mary and Layla continue what they are doing an old lady approached them from behind with her left brow up. "What are you both doing here dressed like that?"

Layla and Mary were surprised to hear that voice, they remember that voice very clearly and they don't have the guts to face the owner of that voice.

With a panicking heart, Layla spoke trying to not make it obvious that she is nervous. "Mary, look at the time, we should get going now."

Layla blames herself now. She should have listened to Mary and left the place immediately. She should not have let her curiosity get the best of her.

"You are right, my meeting with some of the departments are coming up in an hour." Truthfully said, Mary does not have any meetings at all. The only thing she has to do is to finish her paperwork. But if she wants to escape the place, she has to say that she has a meeting or else the woman behind them will not be convinced.

Layla and Mary were about to stand up from their seats, but a cold voice stopped them from doing so. "Layla, Mary, don't even try to act that you two did not hear me. Do the two of you really want to see me get angry?"

It was a threat, Mary and Layla know that. They know that if they don't turn around and face her, she would get angry. Her angry side is something Mary and Layla would most likely want to avoid. One of the things that they are scared about is that woman's wrath.

Unwillingly, Mary and Layla faces the old lady with an awkward smile on their faces. "auntie Claire, l-long time no see." Both of them said at the same time.

"Long time no see indeed." It has been a long time since Claire has seen these two. She has been imagining about the scene they might see each other again, but she clearly did not imagine to see Mary and Layla dressing like they are spying on someone.

Sighing deeply, Claire spoke again, repeating her question from earlier. "What kind of scheme are you on to? "

"Scheme? That's a bit too much." Layla said in a mumbled voice, but Claire and Mary heard it loud and clear. For Layla, she could not say that what she and Mary are doing is a scheme because she would never scheme on her own son.

"We are spying on our children who are currently on a date." Mary truthfully said. Mary could have lied about her real doing, but she does not have the heart to lie to the person who took care of her like a mother.

Hearing that Claire was speechless, she could not believe what she just heard. Layla and Mary spying on their children?  She truly believes that Mary is not the same as her master, but now, she guesses that is wrong.

As Claire is in her thoughts, she realized that the only young ones inside the cafe are the young ones she served earlier. "No wonder I felt that way," Claire mumbled.
