Anna and Kyle finally arrived at their destination. Though the place has a scene that Anna does not want to remember, the cafe is a place where she temporarily forgot about the scene that she saw.

The cafe gives her a feeling of relaxation, and being with Kyle in this place is much better.

"We should sit there," Anna said, pointing at the same spot where she and Kyle sat the last time they were here.

Looking at the direction Anna is pointing at, a smile appeared in Kyle's face. He also prefers that specific spot of the cafe. It reminded him of how cute Anna is when she is happily eating her cake.

Since Anna is the type of person who gets excited about eating delicious food, Kyle has been practicing cooking delicious food. He just started honing his skill not too long ago, so he is not on the same level as his mother. But he is sure that soon enough, he will be able to cook something delicious for Anna.

As for Anna, her cooking skills had increased greatly. At first, her reason for cooking is to explore new things about food, but now, she thinks that her reason this time is to fill Kyle's stomach.

She once heard from her mother that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

At first, she did not believe those words because she thinks that it was nonsense, but now, she is starting to believe it. She is trying to convince herself that by doing this, it would mean that she might have a chance to Kyle's heart.

As Anna and Kyle are making themselves comfortable in their table, an old lady from not so far away from them is watching them since the moment they got in.

Usually, the old lady would not pay much attention to young people like them since it would only waste her time, but looking at those young ones made her feel nostalgic about her younger days.

"Jean, pa.s.s me two menus, let me serve those young lovers over there." The old lady said to one of the workers in the cafe.

The woman who is named Jean was slightly surprised that the old lady decided to personally serve someone. "B-but ma'am, I think it would be better for me to do that. You shouldn't be wasting your time on them."

Jean is worried that if she let the old lady do such a trivial thing, the old lady would hurt herself in the process. Despite the cold att.i.tude the old lady is giving to everybody, the old lady is the kindest person Jean has ever known, even the other workers in the cafe knows that.

When they are struggling to find a job, the old lady was the one who approached them. The workers are very thankful for the old lady's kindness and because of that, they decided to help the old lady in whatever is necessary.

"Jean, you don't have to worry about me, and let me do the work." The old lady said in a stern tone of voice.

The old lady is the owner of the cafe and once a week she visits the cafe just to see if everything in the cafe is doing fine. Today is the day of her visit, and unexpectedly, the old lady decided to serve some young teenagers of a date?

With a clear of hesitation, Jean handed the two menus to the old lady. As she is doing that Jean is praying inwardly that those two teenagers won't cause any trouble to the old lady. Teenagers nowadays are too demanding and the old lady is going to serve those two. 'G.o.d, please.'

With a professional smile on her face, the old lady approached Anna and Kyle.

Both Anna and Kyle looks at the person who is coming near them, they saw a professional yet warm smile on the old lady's face. Somehow that smile reminded her of a person that was in a picture that her mother had once shown to her.

On that picture, it was a young woman smiling warmly with a young man beside her, also smiling warmly.

Anna's mother told her a story about that picture, but she could not remember what her mother told her about it. The only thing that she could remember is that those two people in the picture held a special place on her mother's heart.

"Dear customers, I will be personally serving you for today, so please take your time on choosing your orders." The old lady said as she places the menus in front of Anna and Kyle.

"Thank you," Anna replied politely.

The old lady left after giving them the menus. As she is walking away from them, Anna observes her. The lady is obviously an elder, and she does not look like she works here in the cafe. Anna wonders why the old lady is serving them when there is others who can do that job.

It is not like Anna is complaining, but she is somehow worried about the old lady. The old lady is probably in her late sixties, and at first glance, one can tell that she is not like a fragile gla.s.s, but despite that, someone else should be doing the serving, not the old lady.

"She is probably the owner of this cafe," Kyle spoke when he notice the stare Anna is giving towards the old lady.

"You think so?" Anna asked. Though what Kyle said made sense, Anna still wants confirmation from the old lady itself.

With a light smile plastered on his face, Kyle gently spoke to Anna, "So, are you gonna ignore your companion and focus on someone else?" Inwardly, Kyle admits that he is slightly jealous of the attention Anna is giving towards the old lady.

"O-oh! I'm sorry." Feeling guilty that she is not paying any attention towards her companion, With that in mind, Anna reminded herself of the reason she is here with Kyle today. She is here to spend time with him and to one else.
