The second thing that scared her was hurting Vivan. The fact that the existence of that person may create misunderstandings was troubling her.

Vivan saw Ira leaning on the window with a tense face. He had become accustomed to finding Ira lost in her thoughts. He could guess that something was off.

He stared at her with uneasiness and asked: "Are you okay?"

Ira pulled herself back from her thoughts when she noticed Vivan talking to her.

"What?" she asked alarmed.

"Are you okay? Did something happen?" he asked.

"No, Nothing. " Shaking her head Ira replied.

She saw a bitter smile on Vivan's face stabbing her eyes. His deep gaze is making her feel guilty as if being caught having an affair.

She retracted her eyes feeling nervous about his a.s.sessing look.

'Would he hate me if he knows my past? No, Viv will never know of my past if I stay away and have no contact with Steve.' with the thought Ira comforted herself.

She tried to change the subject, and with a smile said: "Husband, I want to buy new clothes." When she saw no response, she whined: "My old clothes don't me fit anymore. "

"Okay let's go shopping this weekend," Vivan stated.

"Can't we go now? We still have time." she started at Vivan until he nodded.

In a shopping mall, Ira entered the lavish store.

Since she was a regular customer, one of the sales girls recognized her and said with a flattering smile: "Madam, I haven't seen you in a long while."

Bringing the new designs, she said: " Chanel has just released a vide range of new designs which are hard-to-find goods. You came just at the right time. I kept them aside for you."

Displaying every dress one by one, the girl looked busy by herself.

There were not many guests in the store. Only VIP's were allowed to enter. In this quiet place, her voice was clearly heard.

She was waiting for a nod or some positive emotion on her face but she was left disappointed.

Persistently, she showed more outfits. The salesgirl knew that Ira was a spend drift and would sometimes buy all the dresses she suggests. Well, she was a good sales girl but a poor observant.

She saw Ira again and thought 'She got fat.

Maybe because I haven't brought her size, she is not happy.'

The five or so woman in the store laughed. Another staff girl elbowed her.

'Why are they laughing?' she thought again.

"Show us some maternity dresses." Vivan interrupted her.

"Maternity? Uh!" She looked behind her to find a man whose gaze was focussed on Ira's belly.

Only then did she realized that Ira has not gained weight but got pregnant.

She smiled awkwardly and ran back to the counter.
