30 My Fault!

Ira cried "It is all my fault... If I had supported Ash..... If I had not been so harsh with him... If we were closer as siblings should be.....If I had not called dad...Mom, he was driving a car... I called him from the hospital..... and he came to know about Ash's death. He had an accident. He crashed into the divider."

"It is all my fault."

There was a severe pain in her heart. Recalling her brother's words in the suicide note.

It broke her.

Mom hugged her tightly said "Not your fault. Your brother's life was written short."

Both cried for what felt like an eternity.

That day was the worst memory of. She was felt isolated and helpless, but she didn't know what to do.

She lost her dad, her support. Her hero. With him behind she would fight even a lion, without him she feared the world.

Her brother, he was like a part of herself she lost. Younger than 7 years to her, he was like a baby to her. He was mischevious but only listened to her. She remembered the time the kid would jump to hug her. At times he only ate from her hands, Ate whatever she fed, even the spicy and sour.

She followed him with a video cam everywhere. Made him wear her frock and makeup.

He came to her whenever he needed money. Even when dad limited his pocket money, he pleaded her.

She was a mother, teacher and a friend to him.

Where did that bond go?

How can a sister not know that her brother was depressed?

She sat alone looking at the two headstones by sides, having familiar names.

The rain still was not stopped. Her clothes were thin and she was soaked. She was cold but this coldness was giving her solace and comfort. She returned home but could not enter it. No one there in this big house. Until the middle of the night, she sat on the ground with little strength. Not having eaten anything in days. She cried on the steps at the door of her house. It was so painful that she couldn't breathe. Tears flow down.

Next day her company, her house all were auctioned. This result is inevitable. They lost everything. Ira finally gave up! They had no money. The house was sold. They rented a small apartment.

James came to them to help. Having been betrayed once she would be a fool to believe him again.

She guessed he had something to gain in return of helping them but what she found out was so repulsive, she never imagined.

He was not just a cold calculative and manipulative.

James was rotten to bones.

A disgusting man.

Ira thought that at least Clara loved Ash. Just after a month of his death, she remarried.

A woman who was hysterically crying for her lost husband was now happily married.

The shock was hard to digest.
