Chapter 675: Shopping Spree

“Why are you paying?” Sun Jiamu wanted to s.n.a.t.c.h the bill but was stopped by Xinxin. “My dear, I’m making a lot of money these days. What’s wrong with buying you some clothes? Take it. I’ll be angry if you refuse to take it.”

“Alright.” Jiamu was well aware of Xinxin’s accomplishments in her career. The Qiao Finance Group was really flouris.h.i.+ng.

Her good friend dreamed of the day she could walk shoulder-to-shoulder with Bai Qinghao.

On the other hand, Sun Jiamu did not have such great aspirations. She only wished to be with Fang Shaohua, and to, one day inherit her father’s Sun Corporation. She dreamt of a stable life.

After purchasing the clothes, they visited a hair salon nearby.

Fang Xinxin searched for pictures of the hairstyle that was trending recently – long hair with side bangs. She said to the hairstylist, “Please style my friend’s hair according to this photo.”

“No problem.” The hairstylist quickly gave Sun Jiamu a haircut and then blew dry her hair to style it.

The make-up artist in the salon also a.s.sisted Jiamu with a light layer of make-up.

When Sun Jiamu stood up, Fang Xinxin removed her thick frame gla.s.ses and stood back to take her in. She was dressed in a lavender maxi dress. The delicate flower prints made a beautiful contrast against her snow white skin. The lavender belt also caused her waist to appear especially slender. All in all, her figure appeared especially charming.

With her newly cut side bangs and shoulder-length hair, her almond-shaped face was accentuated. Her eyes were wide and accompanied by her small nose and pink lips, she made for a stunning sight.

“Wow, you’re so beautiful!” Fang Xinxin could not help but exclaim. “I really did not expect my Jiamu to be this stunning after dressing up!”

“Am I really that beautiful?” Jiamu hesitated.

Fang Xinxin pointed at the customers around them. “Look, all the customers are stunned by your beauty.”

She then pointed at the mirror behind her. “Now, take a look at yourself.”

Sun Jiamu turned around. The woman in the reflection was dressed in a stylish, lavender dress. Her skin was fair and her features were charming. She struggled to believe that she could be this beautiful after dressing up!

Fang Xinxin tossed her thick framed gla.s.ses away. “In future, don’t wear gla.s.ses anymore. It covers up your beauty. Besides, your eyesight is nearly perfect. It won’t harm you if you don’t wear gla.s.ses.”

“En.” Sun Jiamu nodded lightly.

After leaving the salon, the two of them approached the entrance of Huan Ya Building. “Jiamu, you’re so beautiful right now. You should have a date with my brother. I won’t disturb the two of you.”

Jiamu understood that she did not wish to see Shaohua. “En. Don’t worry, I’ll accompany your brother.”

Fang Xinxin heard her words and deliberated over her good friend’s tone. She suddenly realised that perhaps Jiamu had learned something.

However, since she chose to remain silent on the matter, she felt that maintaining the status quo was a good option.

“I hope you’ll become my sister-in-law,” Xinxin added deliberately.

“Me too.” Jiamu nodded.

Tong Yu had driven the car over and Fang Xinxin climbed into the backseat.

Sun Jiamu held several shopping bags in her hands and quickly entered the Huan Ya Building. She went up to the tenth storey and knocked against the CEO’s office door.

There was no response.

She was Fang Shaohua’s secretary and naturally had the keys for the CEO’s office.

She unlocked the door and found that the office was empty.

She brought her phone out and dialled Fang Shaohua’s number. However… his phone was switched off.

She immediately headed towards the Hong Sheng District to look for him.

For the past two years, she frequently visited Fang Shaohua at his apartment in Hong Sheng District to sleep over. Over time, she had gained her own room in his apartment.
