He thumped his chest and responded generously. “It's not too much. Even if it's expensive, you are worth it!”

The cas.h.i.+er employee swiped Long Shuhai's card and spoke up respectfully. “Sir, please key in your pin number.”

Long Shuhai did so without any hesitation.

When the receipt was printed out from the machine, he was worried that Fang Xinxin would notice the amount written on it. Hence, he intentionally kept a conversation going between them and folded the receipt discreetly. He then quickly signed his name under the blank s.p.a.ce.

Fang Xinxin naturally understood his intentions. However, his hypocritical actions would only come back to bite him later. “Second uncle, you're so generous.”

“You're my beloved niece ah, how could I not be generous? I've always doted on you the most.” Although Long Shuhai said so, in his heart, he mocked Fang Xinxin for being an idiot. He had only played a small trick and she actually believed the clothes were made by a luxury, italian brand.

“I do. I love both of you very much.” Long Shuhai glanced at Fang Manxue, who was being led by a different employee to look at the clothes, with genuine love in his eyes.

“In that case, why don't you buy five 'more' premium outfits, but this time for Fang Manxue?”

The employee returned his card to him along with a receipt. “Sir, here is your card and receipt. Please keep them well.”

Long Shuhai found his actions to be strange. He had left the clothes here temporarily and made a show of bringing Fang Xinxin over so she would a.s.sume that they were bought from this store. He had already given Miss w.a.n.g two hundred dollars for the matter. Why would there be any receipts?

“Yes, sir. The premium outfits you bought earlier sum up to three hundred and eighty thousand dollars.” The employee smiled as she explained. “I've given you a discount and only charged you three hundred thousand dollars.”

“What!” Long Shuhai turned pale from shock. “Have you made a mistake? I didn't buy any premium outfits. I didn't even look at the clothes from your store. How could I have spent so much money?”

“This lady here chose the clothes.” The employee gestured toward Fang Xinxin.

“Don't you remember? Before paying, she even asked if you were sure that you wanted these five sets of premium outfits. She even reminded you that the clothes here are expensive. You were the one who said that she was worth it.”
